They couldn’t beat us if they had Clyde Drexeler and Hakeem Olajuwon.

    Out-willed them.
    Out-toughed them.
    Out-coached them.

    Instant classic.

Lmfao @ testing “poon banger”. Haven’t had a good gut laugh like that in quite some time.

    Ps. Spring game is tomorrow.

I saw it mentioned on this site once, check out Cylonwolf on YouTube. Lots of full game Bball and football vids with all commercials edited out.

If you happen to read this Cylonwolf would like you to know I’ve enjoyed your posts there many times and highly appreciate your efforts.

Was returning from Charlotte to Raleigh during the game and listened to it on three different radio stations en route. Was looking forward to watching replay on watch ESPN but it’s not listed as an option there either.

Yes it does seem like the new rule interpretations are tailor made for Cat. Shot 22 free throws tonight, I think 14 and 12 in the previous two games. Thankfully he’s using it to his advantage and thankfully he’s got his percentage well under control where others are still working on it. He made 19 of them tonight tying Ron Shavlik’s 1954 record.

Heelh8r he did come out of the game but only for a minute or so at the end of the half after being hit in the face. Hopefully he can stay healthy as he’s logging about 38 minutes or more per game.

First off I think Kara WhatserName is a very good color commentator. She did a game of ours last year and I was impressed (probably should learn her name). However, I got pretty damned sick of hearing them talk about Ben Simmons while we were keeping him out of the game.

Secondly wouldn’t mind seeing a line-up of Cat, Mav, Twins, and Abu pushing tempo more. Love Lennard and Beejay but it seems way too often four guys are waiting on one of them to get down court to start the offense. Now, going into the third year, it’s tough to watch either of them catch the ball at the elbow with the deer-in-the-headlights panic expression looking frantically for someone to throw to. Everyone in the building knows there’s no shot or drive coming from that spot and their defenders never even come out to contest them. Would much rather see Cody, Caleb, and Abu take a pass at the same spot and either punish the D for not coming out or open up underneath when they do. Seeing a bit of that from Abu already this year and I like it.

That being said, running more requires more bodies so I’d love to see Gott find some minutes for Kirk. I guess he’s not there yet but last night we looked spent midway through the second half before we caught a second wind.

Don’t get me wrong about Lennard and Beejay. I’m still hoping for Lennard to become the 2nd coming of Rich Howell (sans tendancies) and think that Beejay could be a monster if he’d go strong to the hole immediately when fed in the low post. Seems like he too often gets it there and thinks it over too long before taking action.

Still have high hopes for this group. The chemistry and heart seems bigger than we’ve seen in a while.

I like that you use the term “uncertainties”. I don’t see us as a flawed team.

    All good observations Rick.
I thought Cat was pretty good against the press towards the end of the season last year though. As far as shooting goes you’re right that no one is proven but it seems like we have too many options for someone not to step up.
The backup PG and bigs rotation will probably show problematic at times. Hoping for low frequencies and short durations on those fronts.

    Tex I’m thinkin’ 6 to 8 is a bit low. I’ll go 3 to 6.

“IMO there are some flaws that will keep us from being an “upper tier” team.”

Just out of curiosity, what “flaws” are you concerned about?
I’m a bit worried about point when Cat is out and I think we may miss Kyle more than anyone has mentioned. If for no other reason than the chip that he always played with. (Rewatch the Duke game to see his best.)

Overall I’m optimistic and have high hopes for this group though.

Nice to be recognized but he fact that 4 other ACC teams were listed before us takes a bit of the shine off.

And the authors admit that they’re including the heels because they’re the heels and that they’ll have a great coach after Roy because they’re the heels. Even 20 years of cheating doesn’t seem to dim the perceived light.

    Holy moley!
I was already looking forward to Cat 3.0 and seeing if Lennard can become Howell without the fowells, but if this is the Beejay we’re getting this is gonna be a great season to watch.

Btw where’s the rest of him?

“infinitely happy to hear that exit your pie hole.”

    Awesome.
I love reading you guys. If for nothing other than sheer eloquence.
Hope you don’t mind if I incorporate that phrase into several of my everyday dialogues.
I’ll be sure to give credit if anyone appreciates it or feels that I’ve gone overboard using that as a response to everything they say.

Oh and btw, saw a great vid of a day in the life of Nyheim Hines on YouTube. Sorry I stink with the links.
Comes across intelligent and likeable. Think he’s gonna be a great fit.
