Let the boycott begin, I will not attend any game UNC is playing in and I will not watch on TV any game UNC is playing in!

Best idea I have heard is someone should start an online petition to boycott attending or watching on TV any game UNC Men’s Basketball is playing in protest of their fraud and 20 years of cheating other schools out of the chance at fair play and genuine sportsmanship! I am sure fans from schools all across the country would jump all over this! Send a message to the NCAA, ESPN, other media outlets, and the ACC.

ABCers need to notice what is happening to UNC-CHeat. The NCAA final had its lowest TV rating, people did not turn in to watch the Cheats, they are sick of them. You don’t see people wearing UNC stuff like you used to, their merchandise sales are down. National media actually calling them out, they had a terrible final four from a PR stand point. Our academics get stronger, UNC is taking a beating. NCSU grads make more than UNC, also Wake Duke & UNC-Charlotte have passed UNC in undergraduate earnings. Wolf Pack fans are not the only ones sick of UNC, and I for one am noticing the state and national backlash. This plot to throw women’s basketball under the bus is going to blow up in their face. So take a chill pill and enjoy the ride.

Still cannot believe how mad people are about this. No UNC-CHeat in comparison to us in 80s did not self report, did not self impose, lawyered up, covered up, lied, cheated, and put a spin on the whole scandal. They did everything I expected them to do and by doing so they confirmed why we are not them, why I do not want to be them, and why I am proud of us and who we are, the Wolf Pack. We do what is right and if that means not winning as much as others, so be it!

As Far as ANOA, the allegations are the same, the NCAA did not have to reference any particular sport in Number 5 as it covers the entire athletic department. As far as taking out “impermissible benefits” they took the wording out but the allegation otherwise is the same. Now they have put the burden on UNC to label it fraud, impermissible benefit, etc. Maybe you wanted to read academic fraud or whatever, but I see this as a smart move by the NCAA enforcement staff. They have flipped the allegation from a defense to a burden on UNC. We can only wait and see how it plays out.

I don’t know why anyone expected the NCAA to do much considering they are co-defendants in a lawsuit with UNC-CHeat. How can the NCAA punish UNC for academic “impermissible benefits” without opening the door for more athletes to sue them? The entire athletic department has been hit with LOIC, that is severe. I know old timers like me want revenge for what the UNC a-holes on the BOG and in the media did to our program years ago, but you also got to remember the NCAA did very little to us. I don’t fault the NCAA, I do fault the BOG, and that is where my anger and focus as been directed since this started. I am happy that UNC got tagged by the NCAA, and I live in peace knowing their alumni fan base lives in shame of what happened, their image is tarnished as long as Roy Williams coaches, and every kid that puts on the UNC uniform is well aware he/she wears the logo of a cheater!

The Onion ran this story and Pack Pride posted it on its facebook page. If it is real, this is serious trouble for UNC.

Roy protecting his paycheck and legacy. He tipped the hand of his defense and UNC’s athletic department’s defense for now. The school offered the classes, we complied with school policy. The NCAA does not monitor academics, so they going to play that card. While the UNC BOG sits with their thumbs up their asses!

UNC preparing to answer the NOA question of what self imposed penalties have you imposed? “We gave the coach a raise and an extension!”
Only the dumb-asses on the Hill could be that arrogant!

Andrew Carter’s article state only WBB was named in the five Level I allegations. Amazing how many lies and I see. MBB, football, and WBB are named outright in allegation number 5!

Name one liberal media article that the reads: UNC MBB program charged with LOIC, three UNC employees connected to MBB get UNC charged with Level I violations for unethical behavior and not cooperating, and athletes from all sports including MBB get UNC charged with Level I violation for 18 years of “impermissible benefits” from fraud AFAM classes!.

Lets hope the NCAA doesn’t forget what the NOA actually says!

That Great News for the Pack! Pack fans should note if it good news about the Pack you won’t find on the ACC Sports Journal, of course when Krik was thinking about KY, they had that up in seconds. David Glen is Baby Blue loving Tar Heel fan, that hates the Wolfpack. He started out as “The Poop” and he still full of crap! No fan of any ACC team outside of Chapel Hill should support anything Glen associated with!

Certainly shows Gottfried and out staff are very good at evaluating talent. Seems Ky on our heels when we get involved with a kid. I read we were the first major school to offer Ingram. Between the recruiting environment, one and done, and transfers, I would not want to be a college head coach these days. I trust everything we will work out for Gottfried and NCSU, we got some great kids coming back and the future is bright!

I wonder if recruits are going to sign LOIs to Ky and then watch Cal bolt for the NBA soon as the playoffs are over?

Great to see some recruiting success and momentum building. Program is on an upward swing no doubt! Glad these young men have decided to be true student athletes at the best public university in the Carolinas! NCSU grads have the highest average salary of the UNC System schools.

As far as UNC-CHeat, clearly some teenagers are not focused on education just football, whey else choose a program that unethical?

NCAA penalized Weber State yesterday. School reported itself. Five players caught cheating were kicked off the team. Professor involved is no longer at Weber State. Weber State issued the following statement: “Weber State operates under the philosophy that our faculty members are trustworthy and that is virtually always the case,” Hess said. “In this case, a rogue instructor did violate that trust but we want to make sure that this is a clear signal to our students and our faculty that we expect the highest ethical behavior.”

UNC-CHeat not acting like Weber State at all, instead of taking ownership and reporting itself. Fedora doesn’t know his kids majors, Roy didn’t know his bball players had no classes, and UNC has spent $2 million on a PR Firm to hide the truth. No mention of ethics on the Hill!

McAdoo has filed a lawsuit on behalf of football players. Looking for McCants to file one himself or on behalf of bball players. Lawsuits will be interesting as many coaches never talked or interviewed for Weinstein review, subpoenas can get a lot of people talking! Cannon may have to talk and Walden might get his memory back! About every week an article appears in a major newspaper across the country calling for NCAA to hammer UNC, there was one in Chicago Tribune recently. Books, lawsuits, NCAA investigation, national media calling for severe punishment etc……..when the movie coming out! As for Roy remember his saying, we did things the right way, now he saying he wants to be part of the solution? Isn’t that admitting there was a problem and he was part of it?

Good post Adventuroo,we must be reading some of the same articles. I saw where the faculty called Martin’s report and previous reports an apparent ‘whitewash” and question how they could be so blind as to miss the obvious. Faculty said the few people the Wainstein reports targets appear to be just “scapegoats”. The faculty still doesn’t trust the administration and some are questioning why the faculty feels scared to talk to the administration! In the meantime, the biggest scandal in the history of college sports has been documented right here in NC along with already NCAA violations and punishment with the NCAA back in the state investigating and the NC Board of Governors has taken no action and remains silent!

You can give up fair play or reporting from the Charlotte Observer, the Emmert story has quickly made its way to the depths of their web page, while all of a sudden a woman claiming sexual assault in Raleigh is one of the top stories they running now. Of course a woman claiming sexual assault in Raleigh isn’t news here unless it involves a celebrity, a politician, or happens to involve NC State in anyway. The woman is claiming sexual assault at an NCSU frat.

3000 plus bogus diplomas produced by fraud involving academic and athletic staff/faculty paid for with tax dollars at a public university. At any other UNC System school we would see wholesale firings of both coaches, staff, and faculty with people being escorted off campus in handcuffs.

Someone should file a class action law suit against UNC on behalf of NC Tax payers asking for 20 years of money back.

Liberal Obervers, Raleigh and Charlotte, got an article on Roy. Looks like they trying to do damage control and protect the bball program. Amazing baseball coach caught lying and they all to willing to throw former football coaches under the bus, but lying for that basketball program is such a habit of history it will never change.

McCants says Roy knew, Walden might have told Roy but can’t remember, and Carolyn Cannon won’t talk at all! After the treatment McCants got, watching people get felony charges dropped when they admitted guilt, and seeing the way NC media outlets have acted no wonder Walden and Cannon scared to talk!

“The coaches’ responsibility should be to encourage kids to go to class, participate in class and do work,” Bubba Cunningham (UNC AD) said.
Couldn’t have said it better myself.

    Dear Roy Williams,
Many college programs have someone assigned to report to the coach if a player is not going to class, so how do you explain knowing kids where not going to a class that you claim you thought was legit, but in reality didn’t exist?

Cunningham already stated not going to be any self imposed punishment. Now that is arrogance! In other words: report meant nothing, we did nothing wrong, business as usual. McCants was on TV this morning said the investigation never contacted him? I smell a lawsuit coming, he got to be pissed considering that released statement signed by 16 former bball players calling him a liar.

Each report uncovers more and more scandal and fraud, wonder what the next investigation will find? Public records requests are still pending, lawsuit pending with more likely to come, Newspapers still digging, NCAA still on campus, and no one with any common sense will believe that poor Ol Roy didn’t know. His trusted adviser he brought from Kansas already admitted wrong doing (NCAA violation) along with a memory lapse as to what he told Roy, although he talked to the coach on a daily basis and the other head academic adviser to bball for many years now at Cornell and she refused to talk! One thing is clear from the report, people have been scared to talk or come forward in the past. We can only wonder if this report will give others the confidence and security to come forward, lets hope so!
