There is only ONE lesson to be learned from this scandal:

    POWER

UNC-Ch has it in spades in all the right places.

NC State would be wise to invest in the same.

On a related note, what has happened to SFN?

This used to be a must-visit site.

Now, there is very little content except for a bit of forum traffic.

I wish we could have gotten Miller (or holtmann)

But I think Keatts is a very good choice and better than Wade.

Marshall is just a nut job wanting raises

It means Marshall just wanted a raise.

And Archie wasn’t coming no matter how many chickens BJD sacrificed

’04: Given wade’s inexperience his not having played compounds the problem.

Were he a more successful, seasoned coach it wouldn’t matter.

We all know wade didn’t play in college, right?

Turns out he didn’t play in high school either.

    That worries me.

Did Keatts kill BJD’s dog or something?

    My favorites:
Miller (appears to be toying with us)
    Holtmann (probably a reach)
    Keatts
    Wade

    Here’s a nice article:

Can State be great again? Of course it can.

tvp1 — I agree. The new coach has a chance to get established and then take advantage when one (or more!) of those teams falter when replacing their coach.

If Archie isn’t up to the challenge, let’s move on.

IMO, Archie isn’t coming because Papa Miller will tell him not to, just like he told Sean vis-a-vis Pitt:

    http://triblive.com/sports/college/pitt/10189728-74/miller-guy-coach

John Miller expressed concerns about unrealistic expectations at Pitt.

“I just think it’s a very, very difficult job,” he said, specifically alluding to the ACC competition Pitt faces annually. “Coach K (Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski). (North Carolina coach) Roy (Williams). (Syracuse coach Jim) Boeheim. (Louisville coach) Rick Pitino. Start adding them all up. It’s brutal.”

We are a nobody; we can’t fire mid season.

So many wasted years in bball.

A couple of fools gold sweet 16s but nothing more.

    What a waste.

Tau837: maybe Y7 stays. Maybe he “goes pro” back to Europe. Maybe he transfers.

I think Rowan transfers (my guess; no info)
Kirk is a soph so given Gott’s history, he’s probably gone too.
    Who do we have left?

    Johnson/Dorn/Hicks/Kapita/Freeman

If we think this year is ugly…

    Changing coaches stinks.

On average it’s 3 years before you are competitive. But with who we will lose – DSJ, Henderson, Abu, Anya, Y7, plus at least two transfers, what’s the difference.

    It is time.

51 points. 2nd worst loss in NC State HISTORY.

No excuse for year six. Yes we have a young team but Gott will always have a young team.

    Embarrassing.

Other schools cheat to get ’em in, we need to cheat to convince ’em not to leave…

How many non-walkons have stayed four years recently? Vandy, Wood, ??

A win is a win …. BUT …. that was an awful second half. Thankfully Pitt stunk worse than we did.

    On to Duke!

This season is actually refreshing in weird way.

I normally get so worked up.

Now I know we will lose (save one here or there) and I can actually calmly watch the game.

    *Sigh*

While I haven’t been a fan of those talking an suggesting we go after Archie, I do think we need a new direction. The talent gap only gets worse next year, and I would rather bring someone in to stop the bleeding than bleed out.

Not happening this year. IF this one stays on the same path AND next year is more of the same, then we might be looking next March.

But you all know how this goes … we win a few and fortunes and opinions change.

This is who we are and forever will be. Coaching openings and we are chatting excitedly about, AT BEST mid major coaches, mid major assistant coaches….searching for that diamond in the rough. Let me know how it turns out.

Instead of spelling out N-C-S-T-A-T-E, I think we should go with M-e-d-i-o-c-r-e

It would be unique and honest at the same time.

Why did we want the Belk bowl again?

I was puzzled by everyone being so excited about our jumping Pitt and getting the better game.

We were Tier II worthy and that is where we should have landed.

I think next year we likely take a step back as we break in a new qb, but I think you give DD a chance and a few more years to see if we can build and sustain something here in Raleigh.

I understand the thinking, however given what is shaping up to be a stinker of a year in basketball, I doubt the Pack faithful will be in a patient mood.

2016 is shaping up to be an ugly year for the Pack.

When I wore a younger man’s clothes I followed recruiting. And I learned my lesson.

Following recruiting is a frustrating and time-wasting proposition.

Beyond yet more ACC stupidity, here is my exit question: can Aventuroo complete a post WITHOUT using all caps? 🙂
