One of life’s long lasting pleasures is making the postgame beer run in your red State cap, and running into a plethora of holes in theirs.

Funny. We all like beer, but on this day, for completely different reasons. I mean…I had a big smile on my purchase.

I got Bones, but Wake is all about my old friend and teammate, 20 yrs my senior, Jackie Murdock.

    Weird how life intersects.

Did you know??? Emily Lou Harris is a UNC-G grad also. Was there at same time as Jane.

    What I know about unc-G?

Well, a lass by the name of Lisa Jones from East Guilford HS went there as well and helped pay her way through school working at Rick’s Cabaret back in the day.

    Stage name was Dixie.

I would always sing to her, “I wish I was in Dixie, HURRAY, HURRAY!!! In Dixie’s glands I’ll hold my stand”.

    Fun, fun.

    McCallum

Grey. It’s Emmylou Harris. I was shacking up with a redhead from UNCG out in CA that watched from the dorm windows as Graham Parsons swept her away to Cali on a 900 Harley Sportster

    December 30th. I’ll chime.

Did I say Madison Heights, Stick?

Specific location is what Mac says.

Nope. Downtown Madison, VA. Wilder knows it, too.

Wasn’t directed to me, but if one doesn’t use bacon grease for gumbo rue, and NE clam chowder…what’s the point of making it? Okra and file in gumbo+

CD, there is a direct relationship between how often you comment and a particular thread’s level of interest. So, never be shy about sharing.

To borrow a phrase: “More Cow(Dog)!”

You need to post more often, too.

Back in the wayback, I sat in front of that television with my mom and dad, little brothers, and family pets, in and around Bowl week. Gator, Cotton, Orange, Sugar, Rose, and lo and behold…the Sun, on national TV.

Hell. By the time my family could watch their kid play in one, they had to make sure the UHF antenna was in working order to get it from Atlanta, via Canadian signal.

Now, I have no compunction to travel for the game, as I have visited the Judge Roy Bean Museum, previously. However, I always thought the view from the hilltops around the stadium would be cool.

I know, only so much you can take from an old jock. In ’72, we were bummed that we didn’t get the Sun Bowl invite.

We had to make do with the the Peach.

AT. I only blow smoke when I’m actually in the act of doing a doob or heater.

I seriously respect the history of the Sun Bowl.

The ACC deal with ND, and the lure of Lamar Jackson, clipped us short in Florida.

Sun Bowl pays, and coupled with that…Ain’t got a prefix in front of it after 60 years.

The Sun Bowl is historically more meaningful than 3/4 of the rest. Plus payout that still manages to impress…WTF is y’all bitchin’ ’bout?

Last time I scoped WMC, there was no Sun Bowl trophy there. Add it to the collection.

I shall tell you a true story about 2 sporters.
Roman Gabriel was a helluva football player with a love for baseball.
He signed with State because they promised he could play both, unfettered.

After his freshman campaign, one playing frosh football, followed by varsity baseball, he got pulled into a meeting of State coaches, AD, advisors…you name it.

It was suggested that Roman, in his best interest, needed to concentrate on one sport.

For him the answer was easy.

He apologized to Earl Edwards, thanked him, and chose baseball.

Fix the safties first. Tbey already got a head start on LB by inserting Pratt…LB Nicholson had a boatload of plays as a true Frosh in ’16. Bet y’all forgot about him. His brain didn’t, probably just in time.

Let Drink work. Focus on who can play 42 with symbiotics.

For the record, I ain’t giving DD the keys to the car.

He has not shown me the belief in sitting in that driver’s ed class. Ya know? You got the wheel, but your instructor gotta brake, too?

Let him walk, if he wants. He has not made them beleive.

Give the passenger brake to Des.

^ The only thing to believe from any player is if the first word out of their mouth is:
    “He made us winners.”

Many a player felt wronged along the way, but almost all will cop to winning, #1.

Chops, recall last year clearly, thru pictographs, stating 8 wins was the Mendoza line. I never knew if that was season, or plus bowl. The UNC game might have saved his bacon, but maybe the Vandy game did.

Either way, also remember, he was a bit chippy after the Unx win.

Reports of Dave Doeren interviewing with Tennessee today are inaccurate. So is the one about “close to taking” the Ole Miss job.

See…I don’t think frame/size has damn thing to do with Hines. He rolled an ankle and got dinged on the dome.

What has that to do with structure?
That wasn’t meant as a rhetorical snap back.
Others have brought it up, too.

The kid is a fire hydrant in trousers. Not a bowling ball, but he has no problems with hits that I can see. Anyone here ever returned kicks?

I did plenty in HS, one at State and not as the deep guy. Sheer pandemonium!
