I had a very candid conversation with Ray Tanner at Coach Esposito’s Celebration of Life, last Thursday.

Pack9 sweeps three from W&M and two from JMU for a 5-game winning streak-sets up for the Deacs this weekend.
Indeed ’78, the Wake series is big going into tourney time. The bats woke up over the course of this past OOC week. There are bump issues that I got to know this past weekend, but I have some baseball faith in the kids that I met and talked with. The little sh#ts appreciated holding court with we oldtimers.
Loosey goosey was the keynote we gave to these kids last Saturday. Here’s to hoping that Reid Johnston, who presented my ring, BTW, can carry some tired arms

…Buuut…Kinneman’s hot start is no surprise, he showed all that last year. The Wilson kid at SS was a frosh AA last year, and add vets like McClain, and Deatherage, you wind up with a competitive team.
Pulling for Johnny Piedmonte once again. 6’8 from the bump, and every pitch sends nerve endings screaming from his shoulder.
