So Whitt let out that we did beat Georgia in OT. That’s about all I know. But hey, a super no-so-secret scrimmage win is a super no-so-secret scrimmage win. Am I right?

    whatever.

There is no way we can fully stop GT. IMO, its basically a game where our O has to play perfect and just plain outscore GT, Duh. I’ll be happy when we get some stops but I fully expect GT to score on at least every other possession. Sounds crazy but we need to score 45+ points to likely have a chance at winning.

If we throw out last years terrible season from our minds and look at whom we have played this year in the ACC, we really are where we should be. State’s played probably the toughest ACC schedule of any team. FSU, Clemson, L’ville, and a surprisingly good BC.
I honestly feel that if we were in the joke of the Coastal div, we would be more like 3-2 in the ACC.

I have to admit. The report seems on the up-and-up. Wainstein seemed to have done a very good job. In the end, nothing will happen to UNC from the NCAA unless the SI’s, ESPN’s, and such of the world create such a media outcry for the NCAA to do something, that they have no choice but to act. Similiar to the Penn St situation where the NCAA had to act. Won’t happen.

Real question: Anyone know how this is being paid for? According to Joe Ovies, they are paying Wainstein $950/hr. That’s a crap load of money. Something seems wrong that they created that mess but taxpayers are having to pay their way out of the mess.

No matter what, I’m sure as hell ready for BB season. Gives me something to be hopeful for. At this point in the FB season, I’ve given up caring if we win any more games. Our D royally sucks. Though I’m hoping we do win, I won’t lose any sleep either way except for the UNC game.

I agree that scrimmages, against your own team, mean as little as the 4th NFL preseason game, but the offense didn’t look the best. Granted, I only caught part of game. I saw one of the Martin twins make some nice plays though on D.

^^Well, it was “Throwback with the Pack” event. The Members Only jacket kinda was planned to honor the event. Not defending him, just sayin’.

Yeah, saying that beating FSU at home will be tough would be a hugh understatement. But think back a couple years ago. No one thought we would beat FSU at home then either. FSU playing us in Raleigh is akin to us play WF at Wake. We rarely win there even when we are supposed to. There must be some voodoo that Chucky brought here when he started.

I personally feel sure that Goodell and the Ravens saw the tape. The Ravens owner employees Goodell so Goodell said “Yes Sir” to whatever punishment the Ravens thought fit at the time to protect their high-priced investment.
I’ma thinkin that they are soon to be called on their Bluff that they never saw the tape before and they will be in a much bigger pile of crap. Goodell will be the fall guy but he’s likely too big to fall. Just like GM and UNC.

What’s wrong with you Christian faith bashers? Why do you hate religion so much? Are you all liberals or scientists? These poor schools are just trying to do what they can to spread the word of God and help these poor unfortunate, uneducated, and sinful kids be better people and make a little pocket cash at the same time.

^Sooooo, you’re saying wait until the year after next. That’s much better. lol. Either way, that logic may only hold true assuming DD starts winning and winning big enough to attact top talent. No matter who’s coaching State, that’s a mighty big task.

^Yup, that’ why you can’t expect Mccants story to help take down anything at UNC with regards to the ongoing investigation. You know he’s crazy, I know he’s crazy, UNC knows he’s crazy, and the NCAA knows he’s crazy. Some of you guys may have heard Hodge on 99.9 talk about Mccants after his first story broke last month. Hodge said the guy is straight mental.

This announcement is so MEH. Is this the new pinnacle of excitement for State fb? Geesh.

This site has gotten so annoyingly negative.

What the heck is there to be optimistic about? Honest question. I don’t like to be negative but just comes with the territory of being a State fan for the most part.

Why is it despicable? Chiefs, Braves, Indians, Vikings, Fighting Irish, are they despicable? What about Saints making a mockery of the Christian faith?

Native American? If you were born in USA, you ARE a native American

I mean no offense but that is some crazy logic. You can’t ask why one word is despicable just because another may or may not be. That’s the same as asking why Negro, which can be used to describe a group of people, is despicable because you wonder if “Chiefs, Braves, Indians, Vikings, Fighting Irish, are they despicable?”. One term has no meaning on the other. One term can be derogative while another may not be.

But to your question, Chiefs and Braves could be considered inappropriate. I wouldn’t go up to a Native American and say “Hey Chief”. Indians=obviously not. Vikings, how can that be despicable when that is the proper name of a group of people. Fighting Irish, I’m Irish I can say that it don’t bother me but I suppose it may bother someone, somewhere.

I just have to ask though. What’s so freaking wrong with changing a name? It’s not the end of the world. Wouldn’t this world be a better place if we all did care about what the other person thought. Instead of how we want them to feel.

BTW, this statement, “Native American? If you were born in USA, you ARE a native American.” Now I’m beginning to think you are just arguing just for the sake of arguing.
