How about some damn defensive rebounding would be nice to see. I think we could have blown out a few more teams if we could just catch the ball coming off the opponents rim. Esp the Miami game.
And FT rebounding. Holy crap. I used to take it for granted that when the other team missed FT’s we could get the ball. Not anymore. I’d say we have a 50/50 shot of getting a rebound off a missed FT. That alone has to be the most frustrating part of this team.
Aside from that, I do enjoy watching this team. They seem to have pretty good chemistry and I feel they have it in them to go on a decent run and make a good showing in the ACCT. I could see a late season surge similar to Lowe’s first year team.Next 4 games…Wake, Cuse, Clem, and VT with the last 3 on the road. We really, really need to win 3 of 4 in that stretch to have a decent shot at the tourney, which won’t be easy. I think there’s little to no shot of winning at Syracuse but man do we need that signature win on the resume to push us ahead of a lot of other middle-of-the-road teams. We have 3 chances left. Cuse, NC, and Pitt. We gotta get one of those. Maybe two depending on how we do against the rest of the teams we should beat.
I have a hard time being too upset with the end of the Wake game considering the free ride we got at the end of the Miami game where we mugged the shooter on a 75ft shot at the end of the game. Win some-lose some. It does bring up a much bigger discussion about ref’s swallowing their whistle during the last 5 sec of games.
I’m kinda in favor of the let’em play attitude but then again I’m in favor of that for the entire 40 min. I hate the ticky-tak fouls. In some games it seems as though the guard can drive the lane every single time and guarantee a foul. Even if he drives directly at the defender.Can Wes Moore coach men’s bb?

Seriously, congrats to the Lady Pack. I followed the game on twitter last night. Nice win for them and should put them in better position come tourney time for seeding.
They are saying the snow should start in the Triangle around 4-7pm. It looks like it going to be a big mess for the coastal plain with all the ice.

I think Swoff should hire several of those unscrupulous bill collection agencies to collect the money against UMd. The could call the President, AD, and coaches (just for fun) house all hours of the day and night and ask them when they are going to send in the check. Then threaten to ruin their credit rating, call the police, and take them to court if they do not get the check within a few days.
I’m all in for anything to that gives anyone associated with UMd hell.The PJ loss must have really hurt. They have little offensive ability at time. JMM should have went Pro last year. His stock has went to crap this year.
He’s freaking crazy and a self serving a’hole but the guy knows how to coach fb. L’ville will be awesome in a few years I suspect.
As much as we hope otherwise, I’m sure this will go nowhere. Just like all the other stories about UNC fraud.
The good news is that the Panthers have beaten two of the 3 remaining NFC teams and should have beaten all three if they could have just hung on with Seattle. The bad is that the 49’s are better then they were then but at least we play at home which should even that out.
I really torn on who to root for in the Saints-Seahawks game. On one hand I want the State crew to win with the Seahawks, plus I hate the Saints, but more so I want the Panthers to keep moving forward in the playoffs. I think they have a better chance by playing at home vs. the Saints then by traveling to Seattle. Assuming they can get past 49er’s.
