For this game, I’d settle for 4 more made FTs and 5 more rebounds.

Congrats to both teams. The women TCB and the men gut one out.

Good lord Rick, you really are a hypocrite: “I acknowledged it do now you can move on” said Rick. The Rick sez: “Neither your our anyone else will determine what I post.”

So back at ya, you gave up long time ago. Whiner.

OK Rick, then enough from you about how “the refs are awesome”.

Everything I just wrote is the truth. Meanwhile, I have enjoyed the comeback.

No one has said that the refs are awesome, just that there’s nothing State can do about it except for keep playing. Some here gave up a long time ago, the team didn’t.

I was told that the game was over about 12 minutes ago so I don’t know why anyone is still watching. Or complaining.

Well, now we know what a foul is. Knowledge is power. I laughed at Gminski’s comment about “not getting the GT big men in foul trouble”…

I also find the irony very thick and deep that 49rs fans complain about Sherman’s incident when their own Anquan Boldin yapped on just about every play during the Panthers game, and threw in a head butt for good measure.

Based on the definition of thug, I’d say that Sherman is most definitely is not a thug. I’m amused at how much traction this story has received, and especially liked Sherman’s comment about the Vancouver/Calgary hockey game during which 5 fights broke out after about 2 seconds.

Sherman spoke out right after making a huge play that sent his team to the Super Bowl. The same talking heads who constantly discuss individual matchups and achievements whined about Sherman “taking away from his team”. Give me a break.

Hopefully that information will be released and there will be an explanation about uNX’s wonder boy pitcher Hobbs Johnson, who was flunking out yet somehow received 4 As in summer school, saving his career. I recently stumbled on an article that reminded me of that little bit of educational resurrection. I’m sure it’s all on the up and up though…

The article is great, tells it like it is, and doesn’t let them hide behind “everyone does it”.

    Then there’s this:

“Out of 3,946 new first-year students, only 98 males — about 2.5 percent — self-identify as black, based on data from UNC’s Office of Institutional Research and Assessment released last month.”

    http://www.dailytarheel.com/article/2013/10/only-98-of-nearly-4000-new-first-years-are-black-males

I found this very interesting, and I’m interested to know what the percentage is at State.

Was it just me or did Oliver seem weirdly emotional? That interview was so odd. Jim sounded like he was trying to go all “We Are Marshall” and say something like “We may be behind on the scoreboard at the end of the game, but we cannot be defeated.”

Regarding Jim’s pants, Carroll could have countered with an ensemble in keeping with the Macklemore halftime theme, topped with a “big ass coat from the thrift shop down the road”.

I loved the play at about 2:50 left, when Barber split the pressure D and fed Turner for another 3 putting State up 7. We’ve been missing that kind of clutch play.

I just saw about 2/3 of the second half (figure that one out), but I didn’t have a problem with TJ’s actions (or lack thereof) on the bench. Some guys are demonstrative, some aren’t. The team won, so maybe he said something in the locker room? Who knows.

I do know that the psychology of team scoring can be an utter mystery. When a team has a guy like TJ he seemingly can score at will, other guys seem to shy away from aggressively looking for their shots. TJ is going to get his, and it helps greatly to have other threats. Even if he gets 22, the team still needs another 43 (in tonight’s case). Make the D respond. TJ scores a lot of follows and opportunistic buckets anyway, so I say take the shot if you got it. I’ve seen it happen at all levels of bball.

I really liked seeing Turner work hard to get open, and Lee’s defense. Lee frustrated Wells, and the late charge call was huge, and correct. I also thought that having Lewis and Barber on at the same time worked fine.

Still need to bump up the FT percentage!

Dang it, post didn’t post… edited redux.

Great game. Beast Mode, Wilson clutch 4th down TD, great D, Hauschka is money. Kaep 2 INTs, 11 for the season, 6 to SEA. Harbaugh simmer down man. Bowman’s cringe worthy injury. Botched fumble call. Karmic SEA fumble negating the refs mistake. Whew!

This game was actually on broadcast TV up here, which quickly fell into the “be careful what you wish for” category. *sigh*

I continue to find it amusing how relatively quickly the uNX fan braintrust rolled from “we’re above it all – it’s the Carolina Way” to “everyone does it”. And I find their comments and bile spewed toward Willingham appalling –but not surprising. This from the same group who whines about libel and lawsuits anytime more damaging information comes out.

This info from Willingham seems to support her contention (taken from Kane’s Twitter):

    Willingham: 17 starters/regulars on 2013 UNC FB team had 29 F’s, 53 D’s and 10 semesters of academic probation.

uNX is really fine slicing their “data” as they try to refute Willingham.

The site won’t work on my iPod Touch, loading just grinds away then eventually shuts down Safari. Granted it’s a Gen2 running IOS 4.1, but it handles practically every other website out there. I have a feeling it has something to do with the ads.
