I don’t know about that nav. As we all know, even a book without any real content can haunt a program for decades.
The women will surely be ranked now, with a chance to improve on that with a win at Carolina. The Heels lost to MD today. Nice job with the “senior moment” countdown…
These highlights would be much nicer to watch if they came during a win. The bigs guys need to start asserting themselves.
GB loses to the Niners. Good game, but my Pack fell short. They had their chances, especially at the end when they let Kapernick get loose on the left, otherwise the FG attempt would have been much longer and GB would have had some time left. Oh well, it was a bonus game for me anyway. I look for a return trip, and a better result, next year with a healthy D and the resurgent GB running game with Lacy and Starks.
Back in ’85 or so I was working in Atlanta, and went to see some Braves games with buddies of mine, one of whom was from northern Ohio. At one game, there was a very loud, very drunk contingent of some rather unkempt, belligerent, wayward southern gentlemen sitting behind us. After a couple of incidents involving them, ourselves and the rest of the crowd around us, my friend stood up, turned around to the crowd and said “And THAT’S why you lost the war.” Uh oh. To my surprise, everyone laughed. Except for the gentlemen, since they were being escorted out by security.

I think the “we’re not playing for the championship” excuse is pretty lame. Man up and pound your opponent no matter what the situation. Had Bama beat OK soundly, then they’d at least be able to say they belonged in the final game and would still be in the conversation. Now they face the speculation that they’ve been overrated.

Thanks for the resources. I’ve used FloWrestling a lot, and just checked trackwrestling.com and saw the final results. 1st Place Match – Anthony Nelson (Minnesota) won by decision over Nick Gwiazdowski (North Carolina State) (Dec 1-0). Nelson is ranked #1, so that result bodes well for Nick’s season, and will probably up his ranking. I’m sure he wanted to win though. State with a 21st place finish, I’d say that’s pretty respectable.

I think any bad pub for the flagship is a good thing. Last night my wife excitedly asked me if I had seen the NYT article, did I know about the fraud, etc, etc. I calmly said yes, and asked if she actually ever listened to me (I already knew that answer) since I’ve been talking about it since the news broke. My point is that there are plenty of people who don’t frequent ESPN who are interested in this, no matter how long it took to get to the general populace. I’m all for uNX getting exposed on every media front.
Thanks for the update Sacco. This is when I wish the ACC had a network like the Big10 (I’m sure I’ve said this before) because they broadcast a lot of wrestling from duals to tourneys. I enjoy tracking the team, but it would be great to actually see the wrestling Pack in action once in a while.
I saw plenty of times when the Vandwagon was open and asking for the ball, yet Cat decided to keep the ball and take the shot.
Yo ref, what about calling the new “no hand-checking” rule on the guy who is checking Vandy? Good lord.
Buckets actually got at least a couple of touches in the Mizz game, which resulted in assists on two made 3 point shots.
OK Pack, just rumble out of control down the lane every time and see what happens. It’s almost always a foul.
