I’ve never understood the “passouts”. As much as I love my beer, I go to the game to watch the game, not drink and piss the entire time…If you can’t deal with it during a game, I suggest you have a problem! I just don’t get it, but I’m not 19 anymore either!

Well, Friday, the 13th was always my “lucky day” for 47 years…Got out, and survived the Army betwixt 66-70 on Friday, 3-13-70. But Friday, October 13, 2017 will be a “day that lives in infamy”…or worse. Adios, college sports, NCAA, I don’t give a rat’s ass anymore, just like the NBA! I’ve got two more game tickets that I will honor, but after that, it’s over! Deer hunting and trout fishing is “at least honest”!

BTW, I left the stadium turf in fine shape last night…Rain stopped as I walked across the street from Lot 1 and I never felt a drop in the stadium. Nothing like a friend and client that has those club level tickets and the parking deck…

Off topic, but has anyone heard from Texpack? Is it true he was last seen doing the back stroke out of Houston? Hope he’s high and dry and safe.
I made it through the storm just fine. Water got within 3? of the house but we stayed dry. The tragedy for our family was that the Cross Country coach for both of our sons when they were in HS drowned in the flood. Our oldest was particularly close to him.
Houston will come back. It’s the greatest city in America and we will get this done, especially with all of the prayers and support from the rest of the country.
My youngest sister moved her trip East from Saturday to Friday and got out in time. My brother in law was “high and dry” in their 26th floor condo, but not sure he can get to the airport today to fly out…that is if they opened one of the airports. My wife’s cousin and husband “took a boat ride” from their house in Kingwood yesterday cause the water was coming pretty fast and they had to evacuate.

Well, with it raining like crazy in the Charlotte area and the Panthers and Steelers set to play in this muck at 7:30, they better be hiring me fast to resod the field tomorrow cause it’s gonna be wrecked tonight!

After a “brief, but painful attack of diverticutis, and the death of one of my younger golf partners, my zoysia has been properly trimmed and back to the “recommended mowing height”. Planning for next year growing zoysia and thinking about purchasing a M-60 to rid rabbits and squirrels from by neighborhood. I’ve played “Carlos Hathcock” this summer with the pellet rifle…Wonder how many of you know Carlos!

Seen all of SC I need to see although I’ll admit the girls are worth a second look.
This ‘traveling’ is a river cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam.
Cool! I did the ground version from Sweden down to Prague/Budapest and lots of other places in December. You picked the right time because the sun doesn’t go down at 3 in the afternoon. We picked up a new Volvo in Gothenberg and drove around for over 2 weeks. The cruise is nice. One of my buds is starting from Budapest in October…I’m “pooping” him on how to order beer and find the bathrooms in Hungary!

Really looking forward to football. DD Inc have done a great job putting the program in a position to have the best season in a long time.
Secondary is a bit of a concern – as is field goal game. All in all, the most complete team we have had in my memory. A credit to his building….
During Earle Edwards’ first 6 years he was 9-21-2. The last 11 years Coach Edwards’ teams finished 1st or 2nd in the conference 8 times.
In his first 4 years Doeren is 9-23 — very similar to Edwards. Will the future be similar?
Yea, and then he retired and we went 3-8 the next year which resulted in Holtz and Cowdog!

Your reference to Demorest reminded me of a couple or 3 weeks working in Demorest and Cornelia doing due dilgence on a business sale 15 years or so ago. Can’t remember the restaurant in one of those towns, but the fried chicken was good!

No, it was a local “hole in the wall”. Must have been THE place thought cause it was packed at lunch. It was so boring that a couple of us went over to Piedmont to watch a charity basketball game between the players from the business that we were working with and the college faculty.

I’m a long time visitor to this website and first time posting. I see you are in Rabun county. I’m a NC native now living in Habersham. Maybe we can get together sometime as Wolfpack fans are few and far between in these parts.I’m guessing you graduated from App State and your family were long time State folks.

This white man has been busy. Beyond the typical 10 to 15 letters a week to the Huffington Post, I’ve been studying French and writing a book on Julius Chambers and the heirs to his legacy who just had a gun battle on the Grand Strand at Myrtle Beach.
I don’t need to plant a garden to feel good about myself. After all, I use recycled, recycled paper bags to dispose of my recycled biodegradable eco-friendly caffeine free herbal tea from Yusihi China which was voted least town to succeed in all of China.

Another of my wife’s tomato theories blown away. She keeps saying it’s too much shade…I keep saying, “no, you don’t water them”! My peppers don’t do much until “her maters” die from lack of moisture so the theory is holding!!!
Let me see if I can find the Eggplant Parmesan recipe for you guys…I’m ok with it for a while, but I get tired of eggplant and squash really fast now..
