Is anyone going to the game Saturday? I’ll probably buy a ticket outside if I have time to go.

GoWolves and FB69, I’m not sure if anyone else followed it with you guys, but I appreciate the game updates. I hardly ever post, but check the forums at least once a day.

How can anyone believe anyone but themselves. One
must sort through all the crap and divine the truth
as they see it. Only believe what you either observe
first hand, or what you know to be true.
To be skeptical is the first step to ascertaining the truth.

    Good idea ‘roo.
If anyone would like to have a waterproof rain cover/Faraday cage built
for their generator, let me know! I have a machine shop so it wouldn’t be
    that involved to manufacture.
Besides, more work for the shop in this so called recovery would be more than welcome.

Good point about the linemen. Usually a thankless job. They bust it in the worst weather.

Sounds like a potential market for large Faraday cages. I suppose as long as the breaker is open, there would be no backsurge from the output leads.

On the other hand, if only the electonic section was protected, the rest of the unit would probably be ok.

I hope all you guys down east are getting power back. It is miserable I’m sure.

Are these new Generac units succeptable to an EMP? Might be handy to have them working if the sun has a hissy fit.

When I was a freshman in 1976, it seems like I heard that up until that time, it had never rained in Carter Stadium on a game day.

Found the game on Kodi. Sportsdevil, livesports, firstrowsports.eu, american football. Crap, 10-0 now.

Thanks BP. I couldn’t find the watchESPN app, but did find the game under one of the SportsDevil catalogs. I’ll let you know if it works. I really like Kodi also.

Has anyone had luck streaming our games with Kodi?

I cut the cable a few months ago and am now using an Amazon firestick with Kodi installed.

I’m still wandering in the wilderness of thousands of channels, and can find plenty of soccer(football) games, but I’m having a hard time finding American football.
    Thanks for any help.

Pleasantly surprising thread. Anyone willing to part with a 30-06 bolt or a 1911 .45? Daughter needs something for deer and home. She regularly handles both, but needs her own.

I dated a girl that waitressed at Darryl’s in that late 70’s. She cleared the ungodly sum of $100 per night. Lot of money back then. But then again, she was pretty hot. Shoulda kept in touch, but she was a vegetarian and too liberal for me.

    Hamburger Hut? Yes.

The only time I ever met Valvano was outside of Chargrill. Is it still there?

    Thanks for the info Yogi

Fastback, dove hunting is fun, but what I miss is kicking up a good covey of quail on a cold morning. The memory of that sound still makes me remember hunting with my father and uncles.

    Wish the quail would return.

    Go Pack!

Yogi, your method sounds good. How long did it take for the cardboard and straw to decompose? Should I should start now for a garden next spring? I’m near Charlotte.

I used straw a few years ago to keep the weeds down in my conventional garden three years ago. Apparently they had sprayed the field with herbicide some time before baling. Almost all of the garden curled up on the new growth, particularly the potatoes, peppers and tomatoes. The extension guy said it didn’t resemble any infestation or disease, so he figured it was the straw. I’ll ask next time.

    Thanks for your information

Not much traffic on this thread yet. Hope it picks up.

I’m considering buying tickets outside the stadium. I haven’t done that in a long time. Does anyone have advice? What is the chance of invalid tickets? Thanks.

Hello VWolf. I might ride over and try to score a couple of tickets outside
the stadium for me and my daughter. If we do, I’ll save them for you.

Yep. I read here several times a day, but almost never post. This thread reminds me of when I was co-oping and had to supervise an assembly line of women. There was never a day without bitchin…

So, what was the final score? This couldn’t have been a thread about the basketball game. Who won?
