Archie was the number one target from the week before Gott was fired. There was communication between Archie’ people and NC State for sometime. I think it is obvious that apparently Mr Miller was not interested in taking the job. Once that was clear DY moved quickly and in my opinion landed a very good coach. Keatts took a program that finished 9-23 the year before and was co-champion for the regular season. He followed that with two more regular season championships plus two more conf tournament championships. This year he won the conf. tournament by beating the second place team Coll of Charleston in the championship game that happened to be played in their arena. When he was the assoc. head coach at Louisville, they went to two final 4’s plus won a national championship. In 2013 he was voted the #3 best recruiter(asst.coaches) in the nation. He is connected as anyone in college basketball.

Turgeon was the one that admired K and Roy in the interview. He worked for Roy at one point. Marshall played us for a raise. Shaka and his agent agreed to a deal on Sunday night(he was first choice) and then backed out Monday morning. Once you think you have your guy and it comes aport you are then in a free fall in a coaching search. Keep in mind all the poeple you are talking to know each other well. Archie and any
other coach will deny and say they are not interested when their name comes up for a job when they have one. Archie has a very good senoir team that is poised to make a good run. Do not read anything into comments until th season is over. Of course we are NC State and anything could happen. Bottom line it is an atractive job much more than last time.

This was determined last summer and nothing changed. DJS is an excellent point guard and if healthy will do a super job problem will be he is one and done.

Move J Sam to tailback he is strong enough to overcome a weak offensive line with two starters out. All he does is make touchdowns! They did a piss poor job of getting him the ball on Sat.

This is not news to the staff as they have been aware for awhile about this as well as Kyle transferring. BJD95 can verify this was known but hopes were with other players declaring that Trevor might change his mind. Being an NCSU fan is never easy. Henerson is a nice replacement at the #2 spot but now we have no back up at point and a Martin twin has to step up their shooting to replace Turner.

Hornsby played for UNCA and hung 26 on us. 6’4″ leaper who is a spot up shooter. Does not handle the ball much. Very athletic and can run the floor. Will be interesting who Gott has check him, I believe Cat will guard their point guard because he has ball most of the time.

No way UCLA should be in and Temple should be. Other than that hard to argue about selection of field. Someone stated UCLA for TV, hell they do not even come close to filling up their own arena. If there are no deals being made behind close doors then why do they not have a camera in the room showing the committee?

It is all money driven. You are correct the 10 team conference is the best for the two major revenue sports. 12 should be the max but that will never happen. Who knows what the landscape will look like in another 3-4 yrs.

The Big Tent at the Circus fell in last night. Lets hope we get a decent bracket. If Cat can not go might be an uphill climb.

Hall palms the ball constantly and even carries with left hand across his body without ball ever touching the floor. I was at game and sitting floor level so I felt it was my duty to point this out to Mr Ayers and Mr Lucky. They never did call it but did notice Lucky say something to him about his dribble. The place was crazy because that is last game ever in Littlejohn, total redo and when re-opens will be under a different name. Lucky us that the ACC gave us the honor to play last game there.

I had no doubt we would have a hard time getting up for this game. However, to come out with the absence of any fire is very disappointing. They have one great player that had two fouls on him minutes into the game and we made no effort to go at him to pick up his third and he plays most of the first half. If we lose at the buzzer on a three point shot by BC that would be one thing but to go up there and get our ass beat buzzer to buzzer is very disappointing. It is the coaches job to have his team ready to play. He should have yanked the starting 5 3 minutes into the game. I have never seen a team that can go from one extreme to another over and over again.

Those shorts are the worst I have ever seen. Some “Starter” shorts off the rack at Walmart look better than those. I assume our contract makes us have to wear them.

Jigawatts excellent work. Looking forward to parts II & III. One key factor in winning a championship is having players that will step up when game is on the line.

VaWolf82 this is excellent work and looks to be accurate at this point in the season. We have the potential to make a strong run down the stretch but with this team it is hard to get a read on them.

Sulaimon was booted off team for anger problems. Bad temper and just loses it. K almost kicked him off the team this summer but gave him one more chance. Apparently there was an incident after Notre Dame game so he is gone. This is from a former Duke player that is still close to the program.

Gott & Co. better be on upset alert tonight. CSU has a good team and can be us if we are not up for the game. They beat OLe Miss at home. They have a small point guard that will give Cat fits.

Yesterday was a good game to test this team. We looked good at times and horrible in short stretches but overall pretty good. We will not play a team all year with guards any faster than USF. We have all the parts to be a very good team. Only bad mojo I saw were the head bands on Freeman and Abu, can not stand them look like a city league team.
