Looks like other ACC fans have same feelings about UNC Cheat

Virginia Tech wins 59-7. Does what NCAA did not and imposes one-year bowl ban on 1-7 North Carolina. #Hokies — @AndyBitterVT

I saw Auburn is investigating a report that a tutor took a player’s final exam in 2015. They will be hammered as that is totally different and much worse than a whole system set up to keep mulitiple players from mulitiple sports eligible for over 20 years — because regular dumbass UNC tards were allowed to cheat themselves and their parents by taking the courses. Excellent !!!

Agree with all of you .. I never thought Glennon was a NFL starter but I am mystified by the love affair with Turd from college to now … I don’t expect him to show anything more than Glennon did. Yet somehow he played like he belonged …

Pulled for ND for first time in years. Loved it!

    Watched Vikes-Bears:

12-25 128 yds 1 TD/1 INT with the INT costing Bears the game and best pass of night for Bears being from the punter yet someone at CBS Sports named Mitch Turd as the Bears POG and wrote:

Called on after Mike Glennon struggled in the first four games, Trubisky played like he belonged. The No. 2 overall pick was 12 of 25 for 128 yards with a touchdown.

The interception came after the Bears (1-4) took over on their 10 with 2:32 left in the game. Smith picked off a pass intended for Zach Miller on the right sideline at the 22.

WTH .. played like he belonged?? Seriously?

Double WTH .. the second paragraph does not even tell one what interception it references, unless your a mind reader, and then totally ignores that the Turd cost them the game.

Is the entire sports new media filled with UNC homers?

Yet somehow in this day and age, unlike Personal Fouls in the 1987-1989,these two books never got coverage from MSM. I have read all three and the allegations and facts in the two on UNC-CH far outweighs anything in Golenbock’s book. So yet again I will continue to ignore any UNC-CH alumni who defends that program. I refuse to do business with them. If they can’t see and accept some criticism of that program then I can’t trust them in business period.

Our “strong” recruiting classes the past two years worked out so well … let’s see what each coach does with these classes. Outside of Miller I would bet money the other four underwhelm in the actual product on the floor. I will take my chances with Keatts as he seems to recurit to fit his style not just recruit high ranked players.

Besides CBS College Sports thinks sports writers like Seth Davis know what they are talking about so I tend to ignore most anything on that page.

Not sure this post fits here but as good of place as any. A clip from Valvano speaking to the NC House after the 1983 championship showing his humor and his humility. Notice at around the 6 minute mark what he said about UNC and the relationship between UNC and NC State. The shoutout to Swafford, Friday and Smith who would all go one later to F’ him over in ways I still can’t fathom nor will ever forget. It is my hatred for those assholes that drives me to “never give up” on NC State athletics. I would love nothing more than for our new young BB coach Keatts to be as successful as this young relatively new coach was in the 1980’s.

He was not perfect and he made mistakes but the guy was ten times the man Smith, Williams, Friday, Swafford or Monteith ever were. I hope wherever he is and whatever life there is after this that he is getting the justice he did not get here on earth. RIP my friend …

NW FL panhandle received 8-10″ rain from Monday to Thursday, 25-35 mph winds and huge surf and waves but we were not even in the warning zone. CoWorkers in SE Texas got Thu off to ride out the storm that brought them drizzle and a few fart like gusts …

Best thing was the slow storm sucked up so much moisture from Gulf it dropped the water temperature which is always a good thing.

You are the main reason I stay off this site because your name rhymes with what you are ….

lol you’re on here all the time what are you talking about

No I am not. I stayed off for months … as soon as Rick, Wulfpack, others become successful ADs instead of shrilling babies perhaps I would think they know what they talk about.

    Lol.
States he stays off the boards because people call others names.
Good on to repeatedly calls names.

    Irony at it’s finest.

What’s really funny is I have no idea who he is. He/she is very forgettable but apparently I have scarred him. Anonymous boards are not for everyone.

Oh I am so hurt Rick … but your right anonymous boards are mostly for those who can’t do anything but want to tell others how self important they are and how much better they can do a job. Agree when you are a successful AD then come here and tell others how to run NC State. How running down the current AD and coach we just selected is good for NC State anonymously in a public forum is a mystery to me.

So go ahead and countine to broadcast your infinite wisdom on all things athletic .. just expect to be called on your BS and when you keep calling out AD idiotic because you think so expect to be called an idiot too.

At the end of the day this is the overriding fact in ALL of this. Keatts is our coach and there ain’t thing one that any of the words in this thread or any other thread on this or any other web site that can change that. And you can choose to support him or not and in the great grand scheme of things it will make little difference if you do or don’t. Hopefully he will be successful, but from my observation, whether he is or not will make little difference also to those who are predisposed to withholding their support. Had this medium been around 30 some years ago I’d bet a small fortune that some of these same folks would be castigating Jimmy V to no end for any and every small transgression or decision he made that they did not agree with. It is the nature of this beast and it sure seems like it’s getting worse and worse. It certainly is not progress by any measure.

    Agree

I think it IS a reference to Yow, and I would be careful in thinking Papa Miller speaks for Arch. He took the Dayton job without telling him, and he very well could have been conducting his business this time around without him being very much in the loop.

What you VERY EASILY COULD HAVE is just an irritated father throwing shade back after a whispering campaign about Arch being “scared” once we made our panic hire. That would piss most folks off. And it’s really pretty narrowly focused – like Rick, I take it to mean Yow/the athletics department.

I think Arch LIKELY had some concerns about the athletics department, but very well might have still taken our job had IU not come open. But we will never know.

No need to keep beating this into the ground. I just wanted to congratulate a good man/alumnus, and wish him well on the national stage. At least his side wears red, has a history of f-cking over the Holes (1984 Sweet 16), and fits better as the new Shadow Pack than Coach Cal’s bunch did. ?

Leslie Knope and Ron Swanson would both be stoked!!

I don’t think anyone in AD or official NC State capacity ever said Archie was “scared”.

Every coach we have had since Sendek had recruited at a high level. If Yow hired a coach because he could recruit the area, as seems to be they logic on this thread, she is truly idiotic.

No one has stated that. My comment was in reply to the Indiana recruitment statements.

As usual you just throw out bitter name calling when the AD or anyone does not agree with you. You are the main reason I stay off this site because your name rhymes with what you are ….

Both State and Indiana are tough places to win with high expectations. Indiana has a bit more of a tradition so the expectations are even higher. But Indiana has some built-in geographic recruiting advantages or no particular recruiting advantage. State actually has built-in geographic recruiting disadvantages. So some recruiting foothold is important or ability to recruit nationally or internationally.

I seriously don’t get the point. I can not even figure out if Indiana had a recruiting advantage or does not have an advantage. If the point is recuriting is important than I would Keatts will be ok with his connections and track record in that area.

I simply don’t care one way or the other. I’m assuming contacts were made with Archie and either the money didn’t work or he thought moving to NCSU was not in his career path. If Sean advised him against the Pack so be it. After that I’m sure there were some other targets including Keatts. He was hired and now he has to win – period, end of story. If he does all is good but if not there will be a crapfest. Just the same if Archie was hired.

Agreed. I think I probably give Keatts body of work at Hargrove too much credit but, as such, I don’t see a significant degree of separation in the potential upside of either coach.
