I have no beef with Archie. If he was offered, he turned us down in a very non-public way which is an improvement over the last search. I would have liked to see him as our next coach but it didn’t happen and we may never know the details. Best of luck Archie. Time to move on.

Trying not to get too emotionally involved in this one way or the other. I would like to see Archie but am open to other possibilities. OK NCSU, wow me with the pick (in a good way).

Have to pull for the wahoos against UNCW. I like Bennett’s style and they way he has systematically built a good program without the most highly recruited players. He makes the sum greater than the parts – they play as a team.

Gott is a POS for giving that interview. What a self serving a-Hole. Just take you $$$$$ and ride off into the sunset. I hope you never work as a coach again. No one deserves you and everything that happened you brought on yourself. Grow a pair and take responsibility. Too harsh? I think not.

    Here’s a nice article:
DBR: Featherston: Why Does The Media Hate NC State?

Can State be great again? Of course it can.

I know nothing of Mr. Featherston but that article was spot on and should be posted in the Wolfpack Sports Hall of Fame. It should also be used in the interview of any prospective candidate for the MBB Head Coach position. If you don’t know the history, you don’t belong at NCSU.

These guys are playing individual ball as they have all year. I don’t think I can watch anymore. It’s not like I’m quitting on the team since they were never a team to begin with.

It ought to be a factor. How do we manage to screw this up every time? Why can’t we fire a coach in a professional manner that doesn’t make us look like the joke of the CBB world. We just feed these bozo announcers all the material they need. Its bad enough to endure terrible basketball but now I have to listen to this crap about how no one would want to coach at State for the rest of the season. Debs done a fair job for us but she has also caused the school a lot of embarrassment as well. Thanks Deb but you need to go as well – now. I’d like to see a search committee (with a professional firm really doing the leg work) head this up. Please NCSU, shock me with a well executed search and hire without all the drama and poor PR typical of an NCSU coaching hire.

This is a bunch of crap. Wasted too much time on this team. I’m out.

Very unimpressed with the effort tonight. I can get past the balls not going in (though our shot selection did suck), but its all the standing around on offense and getting out hustled on defense. Miami was clearly more prepared and motivated to play. We looked like we were playing a street game. I’m not sure that this makes the tournament – seen this show before.

No TV so I’m only glancing at the computer screen to see a score now and then.

Thanks for the link Cowdog, we all have so much to be thankful for. I can remember our preacher saying one time that 9 out of 10 people worldwide don’t have a bed to sleep in and I always thought of some third world country when in fact there are many here that are in that boat.

I would say our mediocre results qualify as cause. If a coach can’t post a winning conference record he has failed.

Everyone is going to have to give 100% tonight. Since we are so short staffed, I’m more concerned about the effort then the win. I want to see some block outs and rebounding and consistent hustle through out the game. Friday night we showed some grit, now we’ll need to show more. Agree with the above, if we hit a few 3s and they have an off night, we have a chance.

First game I’ve seen this year. Really impressed with Johnson, Dorin, Abu and Smith tonight (in that order). Can’t believe Anya is squandering his chances at a future career. If we can find some sustained defensive intensity, I think we can go far. I agree they seem to gel well as a team.

We should have never been in a position to have to come from behind to win. I don’t think I’ll be investing any more time on FB still we have a new staff. Done.

I too think we have a chance. I would love to see us improve on the amount of penalties we rack up. Limit those and the turnovers and we’re competitive. One strike against us going in – I’m afraid the zebras have decided we have “tendencies” regarding the chop block.

I’ll watch but I’m not emotionally invested in this team. As much as I love some of our players. I’m done with this coaching staff.

Fastback68, I have small farm of 52 acres with 8 head of angus. I buy my hay and am not planting crops but my Kubota MX4700 does everything I need it to do. I have the quick disconnect front end attachments so the bucket, hay spear and forks come on and off real easy. The forks are great for moving logs and burning brush. It will run a 6′ wide bush hog pretty well. The price with the bucket and hay spear was about $24K a couple of years ago. Since then I added the forks and the bush hog. I’m not the best mechanic so I like how its pretty simple to maintain. I also highly recommend the Hydrostatic clutch version.

Thanks for the update. We caught two of the three UVA games in Charlottesville but that may be all we get to see this year. We were a bit error prone but still managed a good showing. I hope they continue to keep improving defensively, they seem to have enough offense.

With the open scholarships and Gottfried’s preference for playing a short bench, I don’t see how we can compete with the type of turnover we have. I agree with posters that say something more is going on than just lack of PT. I was on the fence but now think we need a change.

Thanks Cat for everything and all your effort. I remember seeing him warm up with the team on a visit before you came and thought how is this tall skinny kid going to be a point guard for us. But he really did put forth the effort to improve his game and strength. I wish him the best.

BJD95, in order to fully appreciate Winston Churchill, I highly recommend you try some Ararat (his favorite Brandy according to the Booze Traveler) while reading. It’s made in Armenia but you can get it through a distributor in CA. Its very smooth brandy but comes with a $100 price tag.
