To go 10 and 8 in Acc, we pretty much have to have 2 or 3more top 25 wins. The Acc is that good and we will lose 1 or 2 to teams we may be better than but don’t beat (wake/vt/pitt/bc/gt). If we finish 10 and 8 and win 1 or 2 in tourney, we will get in based on who we will need to beat to get there.

Great numbers. All added up, we still have a chance. Still got to find 8 more wins in acc to hit the bubble. Hopefully we keep that momentum from Duke. Any chance? Maybe…

Any info on Finley? Assuming he goes pro, but be nice if he sticks around. If not, could be a rebuilding year next year. Losing alot of good players.

Nice win Wofford. Anybody look at the upsets amongst top 25 teams this year…almost every team has a Wtf loss. Parity is here in college basketball.

A couple posts giving up on Keatts already??? I havent been on the IU boards- are they giving up on Archie? He’s been worse than Keatts. Please tell me how 3 losses is a bad start and please tell me who thought this team would be awesome this year? Keatts can’t get his players or his system in one year.

Hey, so far this year has been better than anticipated. Wins against Psu and Arizona. Could we have beat Tennessee or Ni or Uncg, yes. But still better than anyone thought before season. Look at what other teams are doing. Almost every team outside the top 10 has a Wtf loss. Archie had one last night…fort Wayne? College this year has been crazy with no names beating name programs. Our biggest problem right now is that we didn’t schedule enough games the last 4 weeks of the year. That’s not on Keats.

Anybody want to comment on the Tennessee fan base expectations or Tennessee administration? If DD is trying to get more money out of us, ok. But if gets serious with Tennessee, their admin and fan base make ours look very tame.

In the end it was the back end of the defense that cost us. Typical State good at 1 or 2 levels but god awful at 1 or 2 levels and it doesn’t balance. Too bad.

I understand Maverick gone. He’s going to play ball in Europe and will never play in the NBA. He doesn’t have the skill set. When he comes back he can finish a degree, get a job and be fine. Kapita is a different story. He has the NBA skill set. Perhaps he develops it in Europe and then gets a chance in the league. Perhaps not anoche ends up back in the Congo and is happy. But he has a chance to get noticed here by waiting one year and then deciding rather than rushing to Europe. Good luck to him. Hope Keatts can get started recruiting his kids now.

I get the point. Duke/unc recruit well everywhere including in state because they have the brand. There is enough talent in NC that we should recruit well in NC. We have had plenty of good NC recruits during the lowe and Gott years, just need to coach them better. Warren purvis Lewis Leslie Dennis all talented and got basically nothing out of them except TJ.

Did I just read that Duke can’t recruit in state?? We realize that Harry Giles and Brandon Ingram went to Duke? Just because they recruit at a higher level than us, doesn’t mean they don’t recruit in state.

Remember, Archie is not really an NC state fan. He played basketball here. Maybe he came to State because he couldn’t play at other schools. He’s not a nc native. He came here for basketball. He got a better job than ours. Move on to Keatts.

IU is just a better job than ours. No doubt about that. Play against Big 10. Less competition. On Alford, Ucla is a better job than iu. Why leave LA?

Any word on Allen staying or leaving? Despite our altered perspective because Gott couldn’t motivate or engage the kids, let’s remember that college basketball is at least half recruiting. The other half is development, scheme and motivation so if Keatts can do all he will be fine.

Sean Miller going down- let’s hope so. If not we can at least take solice in the fact that Sean will be going down on some unc alum soon enough.

Keatts can recruit. He has great ties with high school coaches from days at Hargrave. The kids who play for him like him so that should translate to fewer transfers. If people want to say he can’t coach defense then that’s fine. Defense was Gotts problem, but he had other problems that people miss. Kids didn’t like him, proven by continued transfers. He couldn’t motivate, proved by the last 2 years when the teams basically quit. If Keats motivates and the kids like him, which seems to be the case, then he can be a good fit. We don’t need a Tony Bennett type to win here. Talented and motivated kids are good defenders.

If Archie stays at Dayton, is he really looking at better jobs in the future than NC State? If he thinks he’s getting unc or duke he’s not thinking. The other big jobs minus Ucla aren’t coming available anytime soon. Syracuse Louisville are same as State. Maybe he’s waiting out Thad Matta but that’s only other job that he would have a chance at in my opinion.

Maybe we should operate like high school basketball and have the women’s and men’s coaches be the same. Be unique at least.
