Keatts will do great I think. I’ll say it again, you were all for the TOBy hire and he flat out sucked. I don’t think you know what you are talking about. Continue to wallow in your negativity. I’m excited about him.

After watching a hair of UNCW and VCU, I’m glad we got Keatts instead of Wade, if those were our options.

I’m here. Hope he can keep the team together and bring in some talent. I’ve always wanted to see a team employ a press here. Guess I get my wish.

We don’t know that Miller was even engaged. He’s still
Playing. Yow jumped the second someone was available.

Miller was engaged the first day. Everybody knew it. Then they completely played around like it’s a big joke. Eff him, Herb, Sean, and Papa. They can go straight to hell as far as I’m concerned. Scared little btches.

If this is true and we don’t have a Marshall, Holtmann or Buzz Williams-surprise type hire lined up, then I hate to say it but the talking heads are right. Really quite astonishing we can’t find better coaches.

Either NCSU or Yow sucks. Its one or the other.
If we cannot hire a coach as good as the one VT hired then we might as well pack it in.

At one point Ol Jed had Belien coming from by Gosh WVA. Something is off for sure.

Well I don’t know much I guess, but if it’s Keatts I wish everyone could be more positive about it. That’s all. I’m depressed it looks like no Archie @#$% D@#%$MIT. Maybe the search firm will bring in a name we haven’t heard yet or maybe Marshall could be in play. Trying to stay positive.

Well if Archie truly feels this way, then throw everything at Marshall. Press the nuke button!! I would mortgage the dang football program to have Marshall come. Just do it. He said he would listen. Then if we have to pull a rip cord, so be it.

Well then @#$% it. Hire the high risk guy and give him only 3 years to make progress. Start churning. No more 10 year crap like we gave Herb then have it cause all the stink it has for the next 15 years. @#$% IT!

I will get crucified for this, but if those two are the best we can do an Sean is telling Archie not to take it and we are too cheap for Marshall…I would take Crean.

Not by me. Crean has had more big time success than all of the other coaches mentioned combined. I’d take him in a second. He would do very well at State.

I kind of agree, but the flip side is I don’t like hiring guys fired. Could be more than just the record involved.

I still think ARchie is gonna take the job. All this is mental masturbation.

Sean telling Archie not to take the job because he wants the UNC job is the ultimate #ncstate$hit

So Archie has to subjugate his career to Sean’s wishes? I’d tell him KMA!

I would too, but I highly doubt that is happening. Would be the ultimate dick move. He’s about as likely to win a championship at Arizone than at UNC anyway.

    Followed with:

There are two schools of thought on Archie

    1) Yow won’t be held hostage again after ’11

    2) They will talk to him, if he expresses interest

maybe I’m slow but I can’t decipher this. Can you clarify.

If not, then come up with the damn names outside of the ones we’ve seen.

Why? I’m not on the search committee so there is no reason for me to come up with potential candidates. I’m a fan and like to draw conclusions from the available information…which is what most here are doing.

Why? So we can discuss it. WTF u think?

He beat their asses. What’s that supposed to mean? The object is to win.

    Slow golf clap.

Good luck with that garbage in the ACC. Maybe he’ll hang a CBI banner.

Fine, maybe so. I’m not going to go defeatist before we even interview him. Good grief. We want Archie yes. But somebody has to coach the damn team not named Gottfried, so come up with a name or quit being defeatist.

Keatts has as decent of a chance as anybody I’ve seen

If he can’t defend the jugernauts occupying the almighty CAA, tell me what his plan is for the ACC. It’s street ball, and that stuff isn’t going to work here.

I do NOT see him working out by any measure.

If that was the criteria for leaving, I would have left a decade ago. Stay….Hope for the best….watch it all crash and burn. That pretty much sums up the last decade of Wolpfack basketball.

Decade? Sorry Herb didn’t do jack benny. I loved Les but the product sucked the worst of pretty much any of them. Try last 25 years!!

I doubt Collins would come here, but who knows. I would rather have him than anybody except the M&M boys. I would certainly ask Collins. If they don’t even ask that is piss poor. Throw Pitino in as the other guy I’d ask. If all 4 say no I guess its Keats.

Organization, a balance between offense and defense.

Keatts just recruited a bunch of cast-off talent from high major programs and overwhelmed the low-major environs of the CAA. It’s still Guy Lewis “roll out the ball and see what happens” type crap.

There are intangibles beyond that…but really, that’s enough. He reminds me of what would happen if Sid and Gott had a baby, and he grew up to also be a basketball coach.

How would they hang with UVA’s well oiled machine if that’s the case. Effort was there. Got a huge lead. UVA went ahead then they scrapped back. A little too critical IMO.

    But seriously, Chris Collins………..

I think Chris Collins would be a homerun hire. Look at the genes and coaching tree.
I don’t care if amaker and dawkins did not realize the success that was expected. sooner or later (the odds are) a great coach will come out of the K tree and Collins has everything going for him. I am not a Duke or UNC hater. I have parents, wife and kids that attended (graduated from) both schools.

Chris Collins would be an exceptional hire, as good as we could ever get. but I doubt he would accept if we offer. we missed that chance when NW plucked him from Duke

Go back and look I was arguing for Collins 6 years ago.
