I absolutely love the racial angle being applied by the media.

Alt-right nazis who ran down a woman = fine people
Mostly black athletes kneeling for the national anthem = sons of bitches

    Nothing racial there.

Thats not what was said and you know it. Such bullcrap, typical. Publish the quote!

The left will tell you they want not equality of opportunity but equality of outcome. Thats fantasy island. Not gonna ever happen, so here we will sit with continuous mostly black outrage stoked by media and leftist agitators. Thanks idiots!

@pakfanistan, what would you guess is the biggest threat to a black man’s life? Do you think it’s the American Flag? Is it the police?

It doesn’t matter. These protestors are not logical in any sense.

This is all due to “our president ” going down to Alabama and playing to his base… basement.

    how’s that?

I stand with the Kaepernickers, just to be clear.

Yeah, that’s kind of what Maxine Waters said. The weird thing is to kneel is an act of submission. So, it’s all very confusing and IMO not very well thought out. Especially when statistics argue against the protest.

And the right is not???? Yes I am right leaning but both play the same game. I’m old enough to have had devotions and said the pledge every morning in school. I also was trained in how to properly treat the flag and was part of the group that raised and lowered the flag each day. So I’m not some “leftist” who knows nothing or doesn’t care. This has become the current “wedge issue” to take our minds away from more serious issues.

I can agree it’s not a very serious issue. Mainly because these are essentially uneducated football and basketball knuckle head jocks. Just shut up and entertain me, or else it’s not worth it.

It is disrespectful to the flag and to the nation. The flag and patriotism is all we have binding us together. If you think of yourself as black, African, white, Asian, Hispanic, LBGT or whatever BEFORE you think of yourself as an American, that’s part of the problem. Unfortunately that is exactly what the left wants to do, divide. Good on Trump for calling a spade a spade. MAGA!

Right… it’s the left trying to divide us. :-\ Not Trump bringing up protests at a rally to feed his backward base… Although nothing like an idiotic statement from Trump to actual UNITE people together against him! Maybe Trump is smarter than we thought. The Great Uniter!

The left is about nothing but identity politics. Wake up. Divide everyone into oppressed groups to rage against the patriarchy. So pathetic.

Faith is separate. The Lord didn’t overthrow Rome. So while we are in grace, we should respect the authority we are under until we are called by said authority to sin, then we should resist. Of course each owes allegiance to himself, family, and his property before country. Land or Community is poorly defined. I am a pilgrim and a stranger.

The NFL, owners or Goodell are two faced on this issue. How can they allow this so called freedom of expression while Tim Tebow taking a knee to pray to God(freedom of expression) was threatened to be fined by the NFL? A player who wanted to wear cleats sporting 9/11 never forget (freedom of expression) on their cleats threatened to be fined? Players celebrate a touchdown celebration (freedom of expression) threatened to be fined? John Kitna wearing a ball cap with a cross (freedom of expression) actually was fined. Current players kneeling during the national anthem (freedom of expression) it’s OK? This is why I have stopped watching NFL.

I know why, because the NFL leadership is terrified of being called “racist”. It takes a jerk sometimes to stand up to the left’s bull crap. Don’t get triggered but, God Bless Donald Trump.

From the NCAA, I’d be satisfied with 2 years probation for Mens bball, fball, baseball, losing 2 Natty’s and scholarship reductions for 5 years. Anything less will be unjust IMO.

Also, the cheats should forfeit all ACC championships during the timeframe. The runner ups should be retroactively rewarded ACC tourney championships by the conference.

It seemed the big guy choked horribly. He was hitting backwards layups on Saturday. Seemed like he was aiming and not trusting his shot last night once he missed a couple. Also Meeks did a good defensive job on him, regrettably.

What’s the problem? They prevailed while overcoming adversity, amid swirling innuendo, isn’t that what we all strive for?

They’ve been through so much, and cooperated too!!

I guess we will eventually see if the NCAA and by extension member institutions care about this issue. At this point, I have no idea how it will turn out and honestly can’t follow it anymore and haven’t done so in years. LOL it has gone on this long. It’s rigged I guess, so I will just cheer for the Pack when they are decent enough to stomach watching.

First off, the dad is a douche and drama queen. No reason to bash State after his son got a great job, so he likely doesn’t have a lick of sense. Secondly, Arch will have a tougher audience at the place he chose, so dads comments really don’t make much sense.

I believe we are still paying for Sendek’s desert run.

The Millers never won anything here and Archie really was not very good other than an occasional completely wide open half court 3.

I can’t imagine ever having to fire that clan as they would never cease to run their mouth. Good riddance. Hope this is the last of the Sendek curse.

Wanted to add this is all likely about not liking our donors who ran off “John Wooden” Sendek.

Well, there better be final 4s and Nattys or he won’t last 6 years. Wonder if he’ll head to next.

What the UVA game proved was that defense is not his forte. We hired Gott-Two. UVA was able to go to the basket at will for uncontested layups. There was no help defense. Even the ESPN talking heads mentioned it.

Don’t understand this criticism. Gott did some good things here, it just fell apart due to personality issues. If he is an improved version of Gott and can actually get his players to by in wholeheartedly, it’s gonna be pretty damn good. I’m hoping he can improve on Gott’s high water marks without the collapse. I think we’d all be ecstatic.

^^ Shaking my head StateRed (assuming that this is not sarcasm).

Everything else aside, who would want to work for someone that “ALWAYS (did) things that benefit(ed) their own position to the utmost”? Not me, and nobody else worth their salt either. Let’s just say this is a very short-term thinking kind of strategy.

However, if you want to become President of the United States, it may indeed be a good way to go.

Well, I’ve been pretty successful doing it like that over the long haul. I don’t have many friends but I’m not in high school anymore either so IDGAF. I got a lot of family and that’s all that really counts IMO anyway. I won’t spend it anyway, can’t take it with me, it’s for my chirren.

I don’t think so. Matchups and parity were the main thing. Every one of the remaining teams I could see getting a Natty. When there are teams full of freshmen who are supposed to be the best players in the country, this can happen. Sindarious Thornwell is probably the best player left in the field and not even in the conversation nationally for any award.

Also, show no loyalty (for loyalty’s sake, show some for compensation’s sake of course) whatsoever to any company, boss, product, or anything business related EVER. ALWAYS do things that benefit your own position to the utmost.

If it’s something you absolutely have to have, take it, then continue to look. If you are much better where you are I’d stay put. Or if you got room to play, maybe they will meet you halfway. Tell them you accept the job, but ran the numbers and can’t make the numbers work so you must get more promised before you start and don’t want to lose your cars, house, wife and kids. If they can’t bump up to an acceptable position stay put.

This board universally approved of TOB also at which I was aghast. I’d rather take a shot at an up and comer than a scared, set in his ways retread. I’m thrilled with the hire and I hope the Millers never get mentioned again for any position at State.
