Despite some disappointments, this has been a good season. Four consecutive trips to the NCAA ain’t too shabby.

I’m optimistic that the good pack will show up.

State’s season is currently circling the drain with a running three-pointer at the buzzer keeping State from being in a five-game losing streak.

That pretty well sums it up.

Why do we lose so many close games? Nobody is that unlucky.

My dad would have said there’s plenty more SOBs where he came from.

Don’t fret. Another ref will take his place.

I wish when guys like Barkley and others talk about players not going to class they should mention those guys graduated, unlike other schools that had bad graduation rates.

This is exactly what sets the UNC scandal apart from all others. They bestowed diplomas on people who did not earn them.

We didn’t play well. They got over on us early. I lost count of how many times they trapped us, especially Barber. We turned the ball over too many times. Our defense was lacking. We missed too many free throws. Yes, we need to move on. But I hope some things were learned in this game.

I hope some adjustments are made to deal with such aggressive opponents. Because this is not going to be the last time we play a team that constantly pushes, grabs, pokes and slams into us with only a few of those actions called as fouls. We do need to find some way to handle it.

Doeren gets at least 3 more years.

But it will be disappointing if WF wins.

… and the NC Board of Governors has taken no action and remains silent!

The BOG has squandered yet another opportunity to do the right thing. Instead, they’re trying to spread the blame.

Instead of focusing on UNC Chapel Hill, they want to fix the UNC system.

This demonstrates their complicity in this scandal.

Swofford is unfit to lead the ACC. This pathetic press conference was a glaring example.

double fraudulent Coastal Division title rings.

They should be required to give back a stick of gum with each ring.

Why wait for UNC to take down the 1997 and 2007 banners? Let’s go ahead and hang ours.

Either the NCAA will do the right thing and vacate UNC’s wins and titles or they won’t. If the NCAA does not do the right thing, they are reprobate. What do the titles mean then? If you can defraud your way to a title, what’s it worth once the fraud is exposed?

What is absolutely disturbing to Emmert is that he has already cut a backroom deal with Swofford to go easy on UNC and now all this comes out.

Roy “tried to stop it” because even he could see that sooner or later someone would let the cat out of the bag. He was just trying to cover his butt. But the whole thing had already gone too far for too long and he was benefiting from it. Doing the right thing would have meant fessing up and Roy wasn’t about to do that. His feeble attempts at dissembling ain’t fooling nobody.

Willingham is spot on about the culture preventing UNC from doing the right thing.

Mandel is right. If the NCAA doesn’t hit UNC with a heavy hammer, their credibility is gone. If that happens, what do those NCAA trophies really mean?

All the ACC ADs should immediately demand Swofford’s resignation. He has been implicated in the academic fraud and is unfit to lead the ACC.

If they didn’t know their athletic program was out of control, they were derelict in running their program. If they did know, they’re crooks. So it’s either lack of institutional control or organized crime. This “I didn’t know” dodge is a bunch of tobacco science.

Ryebread, something already has come of it. The institutional fraud at UNC is now officially documented. Now everyone knows UNC cheated like hell and that the last 2 or 3 championships, the final 4 appearances and NCAA tournament bids are all ill gotten gains.

I saw that on TWC news this morning. DD is fired up. How refreshing.

I’m with Wulfpack on this. WVU and MSU are good OOC opponents for us. But there’s little to gain playing ECU.
