Wow, just happened on here for no real reason. Surprised to see this active again. It’s the place where I have my favorite login ID and appropriate given my 82-83 freshman year at NC State…..

Can we get a Producer to film a 30 For 30 when then is all said and done?!?! I’m so amazed by the lack of knowledge on what has taken place with this saga when you step outside the state of North Carolina. I live in Texas and most of my “sports friends” are hardly familiar with this most incredible and unbelievable story…

Why does anyone including DSJ himself talk about early enrollment with regards to classes and his major if he is one and done?

With the success of Dayes, anyone else surprised that an entire quarter has gone by without the mention of Shadrach not playing and why by the announcers?

Sorry, disagree on the uniform thing… the blacks and grays are alright by me. At the end of the day it does not make much difference in color if the team is playing up to expectations (or better)

Did someone snap the picture of Debbie at the wrong time or did she forget what the “wolf sign” looks like? It seems too close to something I see way too often here in the state of Texas!

Nice game yesterday. Had a decent showing of Pack fans there all in red. I was getting a kick out of the TCU fans pulling for Stony Brook. One guy sitting close to me was explaining to his buddy that they feared the Wolfpack and therefore wanted Stony Brook to win. We were hitting a lot of hard balls right at these guys. Could have easily been 6 or 7 to nothing. One play I did not understand was Avent calling for a bunt with men on first and second and two outs. Seems to go against everything I understand about the game. We tried the same play with 1 out and popped up the bunt to the pitcher. It was also interesting to see how physically small Stony Brook was in size. The Pack looked like college guys playing a high school team. Too bad I will miss the weekend games. Really enjoyed the stadium and the TCU fans. All really nice folks (that I met – and of course, we were not playing them yet). Go Pack.

Finally a little Wolfpack action in Texas. Tickets are secured and looking forward to the game tomorrow. Only hope it does not rain. Too much of that lately here….

I’m sorry but when is the last time a Wolfpack undergrad left early to declare for the NBA draft and really played? Excuse me, but what are the likes of Leslie or Brown doing? Remember Powell? The list goes on… You can say it is the right thing but when you look at everyone else that is leaving the college ranks and trying to determine if there is a legitimate spot on an NBA roster, you really have to determine whether it will be no worse the next year.. And don’t say Warren because the jury is still out on that one.

I agree on the Dez thing. We need a stronger defense against the Holes. Why not do something like we did against Duke and put one guy on one of their key players like Paige. If nothing else, simply disrupt things a bit.

Trevor does deserve his own entry but I also believe that if he was not around, someone else would step up simply because they needed to. Who would have thought that the year before TJ Warren won ACC Player of the Year that he had that potential? He recognized the need to be the leader because all the other potential leaders either headed for the NBA or decided to transfer.

Now, KW… he is a different story. I just don’t understand why he looks like he was tased just after grabbing a rebound (everytime!). He might hold on to more of those rebounds if he would just settle down a little. Still like his attitude though….

One of the numbers that really stands out to me is the “Interceptions Thrown” (1,9) which also positively impacted the “Turnovers Lost” (2,16). When you consider where we were the year before and how much some of the lesser numbers (Defense Efficiency) seemed to improve later this season, you would really expect overall better things for next year. With a young team, I’m hoping that we can create some momentum for the following years to come….

Moved from Raleigh to Dallas about 18 years ago. Would love for one of my boys to go to A&M as it does remind me very much of NC State. Of course, I would rather have them at school in Raleigh but out of state tuition is unbelievable….

Des brings a more aggressive D into play when it is necessary. I also think he does a better job a creating offense. Without him on the court, I feel like we have guys standing around only to make a couple of passes to ultimately jack up a 3 ball. Des will drive and keep his head up to look for an easy pass to a layup or dunk opportunity. KW is just a spaz and it cost us in our loss to Wofford. Can the guy get a rebound without looking like he just got tazed?!?!

Can someone tell me where Des Lee is? If nothing else, he could have helped a bit defensively last night. Is he hurt or in the doghouse?

It’s funny that Collin CowTurd made that response in regards to the Tarholes. Not too long ago when Mary and Rashad came out with their story, he said that “none of this was even news worth wasting anytime time on”

As cited by someone who has seen this type of issue before….

Oklahoma University professor Gerald Gurney, a past president of an academic advising association for college athletes, said the findings pointed to numerous NCAA violations, including one of the most serious, for a lack of institutional control.

“The facts describe a widespread and well-coordinated cheating scandal to maintain the eligibility of athletes,” Gurney said. “Far more than I originally imagined.”

As I said in an earlier post, the Defense has no speed. When QBs and RBs can beat you around the corners with ease, it will be a long day. Add that along with the inability to tackle and I believe it justifies the numbers. I was hoping that we would attempt to bring pressure last week with some stunting or all-out blitzes to create more an element of surprise but I could see that also backfiring

Long gone are the days when the Wolfpack had any real speed on Defense. I was amazed by how many times ODU’s QB simply outran our DBs around the corners for 5-10 yards to get the first down. Watching Irving play last night for Denver made me realize just how slow our team is these days
