Arch would be 3rd at best on their list. Not that worried…yet.

I AM WORRIED by the Wahoos not showing up. Jackasses.

Worry about Arch. Doing “worse” than Keatts is a tall order. Need to focus on upside with this hire.

Princess Leia needs to find whatever extra gear (s)he had against us, damnit…

If you want Arch here, cheer for Wahoowa. It’s unnecessarily complicated.

I am just crapping on Keatts more than anything. Trust me.

Focus all of your mental and spiritual energy on Arch.

Arch is a smart guy, who understands timing and leverage. He’s at his best “shop window” value right now.

Now, if he had some reason to believe a “Top 5” job like Indiana was coming open next season and he’d be a lock for it…sure he could wait. But just to be one of many candidates? Coming off a likely re-building year??

Similarly, take a parallel job in our tier. He might pick, say, tOSU if it came open this off-season. But it didn’t. Again, timing is everything. Which is why so many in wolven circles were so worried State wouldn’t make a move this season, and we would miss the boat on Arch. Just because he likes our job (and may like tOSU) doesn’t mean he’s gonna wait forever and squander his leverage.

MI and TX – nope. Those are football schools.

I like how even Central’s last 3 guys on the bench are white. Probably there on minority scholarships (seriously – at least those were available when I was in HS).

Roo – I absolutely love the Central coach’s sportscoat and tie. I have no doubt he’s a dude and we’d like him, it’s just such an IMMENSE step up in competition.

Like him better than Keatts, though.

McCallum – I’m sure MG would enjoy working his charms across the Bay area, but he might find his aggressive nature doesn’t exactly…fit the culture??

I chuckled at the thought, though.

Everyone will listen if UCLA, Kentucky, or U*NC calls. Maybe Indiana or Kansas, too.

Those are the 5 that can say “absolute destination.”

It’s shades of grey for everyone else.

Could be that Tier 2 is eroding because of how confident we are in Tier 1, but Good Lord above this makes me antsy.

Price of poker going up, we should play or go back to the SoCon.

Taking things WAY off topic, this Champions League tie between Monaco and Man City is bananas.

I honestly dunno what happened with the “middle tier” but it seems to be eroding beneath our feet. But who knows, stuff changes quickly.

Good pickup for Mizzou, given their rung in the food chain. It would be damned embarrassing for them to make a better hire than NC State, wouldn’t it??

I like Holtmann just a tad more than Wade and hoped they were 2A and 2B. Felt better about that a week ago.

Yeah, and as such I’m not surprised Wake was given a “prove it” seed nor that they did not.

    K State is pretty tough.

Makes you wonder if the Pomeroy rankings are gaining purchase with the committee, fo sho.

And of course, Comrade Roo-vich has great benefit of Strong Soviet pacemaker technology, so he should be able to have all the potato vodka he wants!

I liked what they did last year (30 second shot clock, booth reviews last 2 minutes), but this shit is just ridiculous. A solution in search of a problem.

No need to make it even more NBA-ish, please. There’s a reason I don’t watch that merde.

/yes, I’m a middle-aged white guy, why do you ask??

I’m not surprised Pack Pride is fluffing Keatts, and I remain 100% opposed.

And yes, Arch would recruit well here. Hell, HWSNBN could recruit at a high level here, and even I have a better personality than that guy.

I think we will be extremely happy or extremely pissed off this time next week.

I would expect one of Arch’s assistants to be promoted to the head job. He’s been there awhile, and been very successful, so I think they’d choose continuity.

Don’t know/care about the others right now. Laser-focused.

Dayton is easy money at that line. It’s there because Joe Public knows Scary Wheat better than the Fightin’ Archies.

Remember that any and all negative info other than a HARD, DEFINITIVE NO from Arch himself (which he would give, respectfully) can be, and likely is, designed to give Arch’s current kids a non-circus atmosphere to perform their best this weekend.

Still believe 100% in Arch, and think he takes down Scary Wheat by close to double digits.
