Yep, 6 or 7 wins was absolute ceiling, getting almost every bounce of the ball, and almost zero injuries.

I don’t know whether our number of injuries was abnormal or not. Doesn’t matter – this roster had no chance to withstand a very normal amount of injuries. Anything beyond the bare minimum would equal disaster.

The most important thing was to get Mitchell under center so the line and skill players would be more ready for Jacoby Brissette.

UVA is a much more “disappointing” 0-8 bunch. Their talent is better, and the coaching staff is well-established in Hooville. Their poor contract negotiation skills (especially the Gillen buyout) is the only reason London and crew are still employed.

That’s life in Swoffy’s ACC, that we passively decided to cast our lot with. The cabal gets what it pays for.

I’m more worried re Frenchie Le Nard. He has such a knack for reaching into a scrum, cleanly grabbing the ball, and yanking it away.

Against a blue, not only will that somehow be called a foul, we will be lucky if he isn’t hit with a flagrant and ejected. Then I will stroke out and need to be replaced on the SFN roster of authors.

Looking at foose to succeed me. Make it so.

I think Saban would find the atmosphere in Austin really annoying. He’s better off in a small town like Tuscaloosa where everybody leaves him alone and kisses his ass.

In case you were wondering if Barry Jacobs is still a Hole-fluffing asshole…he calls us “xenophobic” for chanting “USA! USA!” at Henrik Rodl.

For those without any reading comprehension skills…the answer is yes.

Interesting, I thought for sure Briles would want the UT job, and was just going to suggest throwing money and effort at him instead of taking a gamble on Saban’s intentions (I think he stays, he’s a deity there).

Some bloom is off the TCU guy’s rose at this point. I’m sure TX will get someone high profile, but it’s a little trickier than first expected.

UW is arguably the best job in the Pacific NW, and maybe Petersen likes that area of the country (and may have learned from the cautionary tale of his predecessor’s time in BIG TWELLLLVVVE country).

The quality differential between Baylor/TX and Aubie/Mizzou is stunning. Even factoring out the weather.

Baylor’s punter sucks too. Surprise onside kick in Atlanta! How fun.

Add Baylor to the “if they only had a decent placekicker” list. Ugh, you just know Mack Brown will suck out in such a scenario as is developing.

I like both SEC finalists. Obviously, it is all about cheering against Mack Brown in the channel flipping option.

Stupid TBPU, opening the door for Mack like that.

Yup, we can just agree to disagree. It’s clear that we will never be able to convince one another of the opposite. Free country and all that!

I am all for revising Title IX to address the issue of video game rights fees/outside endorsements and revenue sports. That may not be realistic, but it’s the best solution IMHO.

They did the class action thing because it was the only way to get sufficient publicity and traction. I don’t blame them in the slightest.

I think it’s simple equity. The revenue sport athletes make all the non-revenue schollys possible, and a sh-t ton of $$ for the school on top of that. Their workload is unquestionably greater.

They are simultaneously less likely to get “spending money from home” and have no time for a part-time job. Having enough spending money to live like a normal, middle class college student is not a sign of end times. It’s common freaking sense, and would take a lot of the corruption (not all, but quite a bit) out of the equation.

I would not at all be as interested in NC State athletics if we went back to a “pure amateur” model and were essentially televising intramurals. Nor would I enjoy the games as much if the universities were decoupled altogether.

The athletes create value, as does the institution. It can be more equitably be a mutually beneficial relationship. It is way too one-sided now.

You can call my views “insane” or “outrageous” but they are 100% in line with DY.

How much of the “full cost of attendance” stipend would be covered if the D1-A schools’ athletes received 50-75% of the video game licensing fee?

Seems like a win-win all the way around to me. Guess it makes too much sense to the greedy-ass powers that be. I’m sure they think this will cause gamers to revolt against the athletes and be a PR win. Because they are THAT stupid.

2013-14 is an important bridge year. For my own personal amusement, I want WBS to at least temporarily rock the Talibeard. We can always refer to him as the American Talibeard instead of WBS.

Or better yet, both. WBS, the American Talibeard.

But we won’t insist that he give up bacon or anything crazy like that.

When every single article in today’s paper mentions how bad the officiating was – even UNC’s beat writer – you know you’re not imagining things. Hell, even Deems f-ing May says so.

The worst call, by far, was not calling the Hole for being on the endline with 5 seconds left. Cost us a legitimate shot at the win. Despite the screwjobs prior.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Cabal was doing just that.

We have to “learn our lesson” and “accept our place.”

I hope I’m not dumb enough to watch the final now. Really no reason to play Henson now, Duke can’t get a 1 and Carolina can’t lose theirs.

Wow, the zebras decided two blatant screw jobs would be a bridge too far. Nole ball up 3 with 3.5 left.

Brando brings up the calls in our game, Gminski quickly changes the subject.

Perfect example of why I hate Duke types even more than the Holes. K roared about bias for years, turn out he didn’t want justice, only a piece of the action. Nothing worse than a lousy hypocrite. Or in Duke’s case, a whole nation of ’em.

I see that the refs have willed Duke back into the game. I wonder if Ian Miller has ever fouled out of a game before.
