HB2 you mean that law that does not include any penalty for breaking it? Sorry other will disagree but seemed to me we didn’t have a big issue before. Same goes for the Charlotte ordinance. Massive waste of tax money solely for political purposes.

I would say the team looked more like a team – maybe due to the competition or maybe due to more time playing together. Offense was much better, defense some better. The rotation was much improved.

I have no issue with the stop and pop IF the pop is on target. So far more not than on.

I think Petrino is bottom of the barrel when it comes to morals but lest not forget where this started ….

BotB I never liked citron so it has no part in my fruitcake. No issue with people who like it but I don’t.

^57 — Bro…How much $$ you want for a small one of those AppleJacks ?? they’ll ship UPS or Fedex just fine, you know…

BotB get back with me after the holidays- I’m running behind this year. I use a modified recipe that was printed in the W-S Journal in the 1980’s (with my modifications of course). I love a good fruitcake but I have never liked citron so I leave that out.

I bake my own every year. Dried fruits, nuts, and a bit of the garish sugared fruit just because. Soak in some Apple Jack for about a month. Claxton is edible but mine is way better.

McCroy can hope all he wants but time for the fork – this one is done. HB2 did him in (and I think thaw was a flawed piece of legislation meat as a pander). Minus that crap he would have won easily. I hope Cooper is a decent governor – his ties to the D establishment that was voted out for corruption has me a bit worried. But then so did gov Pat and the cabal that replaced the Ds.

Then the argument would be about #9, #10 vs #8. I agree an e team playoff would be reasonable but it will not stop the arguments.

I’m not anti tOSU I can see “rules” have in a way put the selections in a box. Same argument we will about the last 4 in in the basketball tourney. Same argument but not the same impact.

“5) I’m willing to give a little leeway for Gott not pulling Abu or Henderson quickly after both had complete meltdowns during the game and either turned the ball over or was lost on defense (it seems both have this particular penchant), took stupid shots, etc; but if the depth is there, you have to sit those guys. Boneheaded plays like Abu’s in the 2nd half will cost us a huge win in league play.”

Later in the year if we actually have front court depth I don’t think that will be tolerated. But for not you do what you gotta do.

For football – a better kicking game – either with the current kickers or with new ones.

For men’s basketball – some semblance of defense. I understand the college game has orbited away from lock down defense like Duke used to play but you have to play some.

For me personally to get rid of this bronchitis. Hopefully that happens before Kwanza.

As to the origin of Kwanza I really don’t care like I don’t care about the origin of Cinco de Mayo.

‘roo I can’t argue with your assessment. There is a big upside but a lot of work to be done (players and coaches). Of the new guys so my personal favorites are Johnson and Hicks. DSJ has amazing talents but needs a bit of seasoning. Kapita has a high revving motor but the downside is he get into situations where he will foul. I’m hoping Maverick can return and be productive but goal one there should be to protect his health.

I also see flashes of brilliance in the midst of boneheaded plays – what you would expect for a roster of very talented but young players. The upperclassmen are simply not carrying their weight right now.

Part of the allure to the basketball season is to watch a team develop. I see some really talented parts but not yet a team. Maybe by conference season things will be more team like.

^ the MBA creed. The reality is for some jobs you have to have the right skills and/or knowledge. Maybe DD does and maybe not but looking around I don’t see a better option that is possible to hire under the current situation.

This team can be good but part of that is wanting to be good and putting in the work to be good. Will it happen? Maybe.

I have not given up but there is work to do. First forget the press clippings. Do the work, learn the college game and grow.
