We win 9 and if we lose at Wake just remind one of the 36 actual Wake fans there who put butts in the seats because it sure as hell wasn’t the Wake Forest football team. Other than the couple of Grobe years it really must be a kick in the rear to any true Wake fan to see your home stadium 3/4 full of visiting team fans. Sorry about the rant….Pack wins 9 regular season games.
Pre-season rankings and predictions really don’t mean sh*t, I know you all know that. It’s the same thing year in and year out, Clemson will be the best team in the world, Florida State will be picked to re-peat even if they didn’t win the year before and somehow UNSux with receive at least 2 votes in the pre-season top 25….that is if they’re not ranked. Hell the one year we did get proper attention and credit we walked into Winston Salem in our second (or third??) game ranked #9 with the great Phillip Rivers…..and then got spanked by the Deacons and their 375 fans.

I have never been as excited about an upcoming NC State football season as I have been the last three months. All I and many of us need is our tickets to arrive to make the preparations complete. September 5th can’t get here fast enough
I wish I knew some ClemPson fans well, I’d congratulate them on being a yearly second place team in a division of the ACC. They are the most talked about 2-3 loss a year team in the history of modern sports. A team that lost to Florida State who played a back up quarterback the entire game, a team that lost three games and a team that had lost a considerable ammount of talent from that team still finds themselves in every analysts top 5-10. Clempson and Unsux should combine to rule the entire universe.
Do not like the Friday night game in Blacksburg, never like going to everyone’s home stadium away from home….Wake Forest, at Florida State won’t be fun either. 8-4 if fair
I wish we could’ve done something many years ago to keep mens basketball on campus. For anyone who was not fortunate enough to enjoy a game in Reynolds, you have truly missed out. It pains me to hear the constant raves about Cameron knowing from first hand experience that place is a library compared to Reynolds when the boys stepped on the court.
I’ve said it and I’m saying it again….the slap on their hands will sting far less than the slap in the face the rest of us get when their “punishment” is handed down. After all these years the fact anyone thinks or is still hopeful for some marvelous punishment to be sent the tar holes way is a bit sad.

Appreciate the education! Should have done my “googling” and research prior to posting. I get it and it all makes sense, however if this is not a case to revoke or suspend a schools accreditation, if this isn’t a one in a billion case to skip steps 1-3 there never will be one. That’s really all I was saying.
This is a serious question, not sarcasm but do we really have a shot at landing the big kid from overseas??? Any rumors?
Well coach seemed happy about playing the frogs in an elimination game in front of a loud sometimes obnoxious home crowd. At least that’s what it seemed pitching our highest era kid we have. Oh well, got lucky Sat. night, got blasted last night….what will come of tonight.
Running up the pitch count strategy by watching a ton of pitches (mostly strikes) to get to the bull pen won’t work tomorrow. Or much like FSU their bull pen is as nasty as the starters. Swing the damn bat jack!!!
Baseball is the American sport, athletes no matter what size or race, umpire/officials generally doing a great job officiating a sport, not trying to be the focus of attention and a coach who loves his and our university. Pack9 made a great run and if you’d told any of us we’d go 3-0 in pool play against 2 ranked teams a month ago you’d be just as negative as a few are right now. Their hitters were better than our pitching today, their bullpen was better than our hitters. I enjoyed from beautiful Beaufort, NC watching this weekend of NC State baseball without any complaints. From pure domination to magical extra inning game win, we were treated to good NC State baseball. Congrats Coach Avent, GO PACK.
nothing significant will happen to the university of north carolina at chapel hill. I believe there may be a better chance kim jong un shows up at my house next week to haul me off than any person, agency, association punish the tar holes. I can’t even enjoy reading these blogs anymore for I know the end results. sure hope I’m wrong………..
BJD95…with all due respect, I sincerely mean that as I thoroughly enjoy your posts…..EFFORT is RARELY a problem??? I don’t understand how we get skull fu*ked by Clemson and Wake at home, constantly come out looking disinterested yet effort is not a problem. Anyway….
When y’all’s coach can figure out a way to successfully motivate kids to give it 100% every game then I’ll be so quick to take up for him like most of you. Glad the kid stayed with us, I am excited for that.

Your article facts may be accurate but the caliber of QB Wilson was DEMANDS priority for him to come back with welcome arms no matter the circumstances. The guy’s game did not suffer one bit from missing spring/summer practices and he would have done just fine. D*ck head O’Brien and his sweet little baby Bible were salivating for the opportunity to move “their” quarterback into the system. People can argue the facts, opinions from TOB’s point of view and the typical State fans point of view. As much as I can humbly agree your points (the author) I know in the back of my head no other program in america would have ran off, yes ran off a high caliber QB like Wilson other than TOB and NC State. This is still a conversation for a reason…besides, playing with Glennon or playing with a 4th stringer…..we didn’t win sh*t either way really.
teams will routinely have certain players make personal decisions to attempt a career at basketball earlier than fans or “experts” think they should. What isn’t routine is NC State “routinely” losing players to transfer. I think…well for me it’s obvious why Kyle is leaving but even my dumb ass can gather a speech to keep the kid around another year, especially one that seemed to continue to play his ass off even if disappointed with decreased playing time.
For those urging everyone to relax…good advise however as a life long state fan relaxation is something I’ve yet to enjoy when following our athletics. We’re set up perfectly for the atomic bomb to drop on us somehow in football.
Wufpacker, my words probably don’t mean much but as a fellow pack fan I am so sorry for your loss. As I near 37 and my father 70 I now realize no day is promised with my father. I can not imagine and again I am very sorry. I’d take your pain gladly if I could. Do what you must to get through each coming day, ignore anything else. Thanks for your involvement on this site, I enjoy every letter typed.
Hot shooting yes, explain zero effort to begin. As soon as you see our guards dribbling around the 3 point line, not looking to do, well anything immediately call and place a bet against us. Reply what you will, as unpredictable as we are…..we are so go* dam* predictable. It was fun to be excited, continues to suck ass to be disappointed.
