Part of me was glad that Virginia lost, none of me was glad Unsux won. All of me wanted to kick K in the balls, thanks for coming out like the world was going to end against us then playing like the world had ended against a decent Notre Dame team. Im on board with the coliseum falling in.

I’m glad we’ll be wearing the road reds tonight. Adidas as I expected either jacked up the color or as someone else pointed out the uniforms are reversible. Either is ridiculous but hey, the guys played great last night and I hope it continues.
I don’t know how to upload photos but check out Nebraska’s uni’s last night. Crisp white with the same crappy design as ours only our jerseys appeared grey. WTF
Anyone surprised???? Unless we play a team wearing blue we come out flat, slow, disoriented and just plain horrible. I know who’s fault it isn’t…Mr. Bourbon, he never disappoints
Hey now guys, these young men played one heck of a game, Boston College is a really strong team. Coach Gottfried really had a tough task ahead of him today and fell a bit short. Let’s come out and play really hard our next two games and give it our all.

Thank you Coach Gottfried and team for once again managing to show the rest of the ACC what a group of posers we are….I mean seriously, we are the team that got run out of our own building against Clempson and all but embarrasses at Wake. Why do we watch and why are “tournament special” uniforms being announced to a team who DOES NOT DESERVE any praise as far as being selected into the NCAA tournament.
Expect to see more unexplainable coaching decisions and ridiculously horrid play. Really the only thing that truly can not be explained is why in the world did any of us expect anything different. How am I supposed to change my attitude to a more positive light when I as a State fan continue to be treated to a four course meal of crap, poop, crap and more poop.

The design folks up at Adidas must have limited creativity but at this point with the boys playing the way they are I could care less if they bring back the spandex uniforms. Coming from my bitc*ing self, that says alot. I’d like to also admit how wrong I was about Anthony Barber and I decided before unsux game to take a more positive approach and not be so pecimistic….for me it worked. Thanks all you positive statefansnation people!
Wow, add me to the list of those lectured and slapped down. I should have left the “P” word out and I’m aware the stat guys will continue to do what they do. I’m not sure how some of us say what many are thinking yet we are so easily offensive to certain geniuses like yourselves.

wp76: Didn’t notice your ‘Block me’ edit. In case you care or see this, you’re not blocked – or at least I haven’t blocked you. Disagreements happen, even w/ mods. Doesn’t mean they’re going to block you.
I am so relieved NOT to hear any puss**s blabbing on about what a valiant effort our boys made coming back. I logged on expecting to see that type of crap and it still may come. I direct this to one of you stat guys who week in and week out after every loss tell us all what our RPI is and what we need to do. What we need to do is just raise the white flag over PNC. Spare us all the pain and torture of watching these games after we tell everyone we know were done watching. Debbie has GOTT to get GOTT the hell out of town, this GOTT dam* project has officially failed and NO, I do not expect we’ll get what all us alumni and fans want, Archie Miller. At this point any change will be welcomed. I hate it, I really hate it as I really wanted Gottfried to work out but it has become evident the man just isn’t up to ACC caliber when it comes to the x’s and o’s of basketball.
Wake has a good point guard and a MOUTHY decent big man, outside of that made up of UNCG caliber athletes. These are the same athletes I fully expect to make around 10 3’s, Devon Thomas score around 30 and play with 4 fouls for the entire second half without fouling out. I expect to see the same tired motorcycle lead the team out with the same 30-40 year olds wearing stupid tie-dyed shirts with the band comprised of 40 year old “weirdo’s”. This will be one of the few games we’ve played this year where across the board we have wayyyyy better athletes than the team we’re playing, I don’t expect the score to remind me of that.
Mark Gottfried regardless of what any of you think after that win yesterday has shown time and time again he is not the best strategic coach nor does any of his teams EVER seem to run offensive sets with any consistency. As a State fan I am glad we won, I wasn’t watching and do not expect to watch as I have seen enough to last me for a while. Of course great coaches are involved with teams that occasionally blow large leads, happens to everyone. Our problem is it has happened at least three times now in one season and that’s me more than likely forgetting a game or two. I like everything about Coach Gott. except the fact our offenses look miserable, our defense has never produced turnovers and our free throw shooting doesn’t seem to fair much better. Either we have the most hard headed kids in the nation that refuse to ever run a play that the coach calls or draws up some of our problems lie solely on the coaching staff. Get excited and fall in love all over again if you wish after yesterdays game. Our problems…in my opinion, will not go away unless I’m totally wrong about Gottfried.
We won on a last second deep three, we won a game that we really should have lost yet again in the same sickening fashion so unlike many of you I’m not ready to set up my lawn chair on the front row of any NC State Basketball parade. I am however excited to see Anthony Barber playing with confidence. Mr. Barber has annoyed me beyond word this whole year and I’ve voiced it here. The kid is talented but he has yet to show he has it “up stairs” to compete in the ACC. May be today was a step in the right direction (almost 2 years in). SOOOOOO thankful for Mr. Lacey!!!! What a big time player.

If it weren’t for the last paragaraph alph I may have found myself vomiting in the bathroom. The argument is valid and true however any other coach would have rolled the dice and allowed his ACC rookie of the year and perinial ACC player of the year condidate return under center for his last year, with or without Glennon on the sideline. TOB was an outstanding leader or young men however he was way too stuck in his ways and his lack of change and adaption sent him on his way.
Yes, very old discussion and argument, sorry to waste anyone’s time having read this but the twitch of Russell leaving….the circumstances causing Russell to leave will never stop bothering me. GO SEAHAWKS
Great, hold on to this hope that we are losing by someones fault other than ours. We lack a ball handler that can or is willing to attack the lane and create contact. With this style of play it is quite simple to guard our bigs down low without fouling. There have been so many games where the refs did have a large part in our demise, this has not been that year however. I will say this about poor officiating, I thank them for giving me several weeks before I had to watch the heels become completley protected from their opposition. Last night against Syracuse was what I’m used to seeing, typical refs. with whistles ready to blow if anyone dare look wrong at a tarhole.
In honest response, I may feel the same as the author here if I wasn’t so disgusted with the overall piss poor play, decisions, coaching decisions and just general stupidity I’ve observed this basketball season.
Bill you only make that pass if the runner is one hundred percent open, was he??? That play consists of the runner and a guy streaking across for the higher percentage dump off pass. And I think everyone’s problem is not expectations yet disappointment from games, no matter how good we actually are, that we should have won yet pissed them away in the end. same ole story, I stick by my loser comment.
