In spite of us shooting 50% FTs and getting objectively raped by refs we still lost the game via poor turnover.
If we really have improved enough to almost beat the 8 man team in Dome, then we will do enough in the rest of our games to make the dance.
Would have been good win for the program though.

Roy has sucked of late. He has tons of talent and I’ve seen better from him. He’s checked out the past few years. Aging has a way of doing that to some people.
We actually seemed to have regressed since the beginning of the year, when we played a top 20 team tough (Cincy). If we played Cincy, Mizz, Tennesse now recent evidence suggest we’d get blown out.
Kyle Washington has made the most progress of anyone on our team. Other than him, I can’t point to another player who has shown significant improvement.
I pity the fool who gains any hope away from this game and thinks we have improved and have a fighters chance at ‘Cuse or chance to dance.
I saw a lot of unforced errors in this game. Wait till we play the best zone in country with the best length and athletes in country in their house. Take Cuse they will cover anything under -19.
We should slow the game down to cover.
If Wake hadn’t bombed from free throw line this would be a nail biter. Keep that in mind before you feel good about this game.
We had several bone headed turnovers. Syracuse will murder us.

Are we improving though? I haven’t seen visible improvement. We lost close games in the beginning of the season. We have since won a few close games. Murphy’s law states that 50/50 games will average out.
Beside 2 of 9 players, all are 4 and 5 start recruits. How many teams can say that?

Bill I prefer high tempo game with full court press and good defense. However we don’t play good defense. Awful really and we have better personnel this year. We can’t mask it with good offense this year. We play even worse pressure D. Never seen Gott use it. Seen 3/4 press some but it was executed so poorly I cringe. It only works if you create turnovers and have athletes and technique to do it.
K turns marginal athletes into good defenders. Gary did it. It’s not hard for really smart coaches. Coaching is zero sum game. One loses for every win. You just have to be smarter than other coach. It’s a chess match all else equal.
Could someone explain the elbow rule? I’ve only seen it called. Once. Ever. On Kyle earlier this year. Tendencies.

Why aren’t we playing hippo at all? Marks personnel decisions remind me of Lowe sometimes but not nearly as awful. But still.

Rick we are 0-8 for 3 this half and hit shots in first half. Translation we got lucky to lead at half.
