Gott has lost this team. There is just simply WAY too much talent to lose to Wofford, Clemson, and Weak Florist. We have not had a truly sound fundamental player since Illian Evtimov. The non-cohesive street ball analogy is the best I’ve seen. We have tremendous talent at every position but we simply are not all on the same page. Duke proved we CAN be if we do it right. Clemson proved we don’t have the leadership to pull that off consistently. And inconsistency has been an issue for our basketball team for a long long LONG time. Not even V’s teams were very consistent. But at least he recognized it and the teams generally improved through the year. When was the last time we could truly say our team improved from start to finish of the season? 1988?
I am beginning to feel another coaching change may be inevitable, particularly if 2015-16 is as dismal as this one. It will be hard to explain away another poor performance by a team loaded with juniors and seniors.
Foose, it’s over. We blew a winnable game at Miami, blew a MONUMENTAL lead at home to ND, and got run off our own court by…CLEMSON. There is no silver lining. We are trash. It’s. Over.
It’s over. The season is over. If you can’t beat CLEMSON in basketball at home, you’re done. Gott has lost this team.
5.5 of the last 6 halves of NCSU basketball have been as bad as Herb’s 5th team that went nowhere. Lazy, uninspired, lacking fundamentals. 14 games in we cannot effectvely bring the ball up against a press aginst a mediocre team coached by an assisant. This is red-alert 4-alarm bad.
I would like to know why we had a foul to give on the last Wofford possession and, again, inexplicably refused to foul on the floor to run time off, shorten the game/possession for them. Inbounds, count to two, foul the guy with the ball on the floor. How freakin’ hard is that? You’d think we would have learned that lesson after Maryland last year. But, no…
Tough to really Scout them since they’ve played such low-level opponents. They should have lost to ECU and lets be honest, ECU was not as good as they looked against UNC. I think if we give Jacoby time to do what Jacoby does, this is easily a 14-17 point win.

He’s the Observer’s Panthers/Hornets beat writer now and leaves college perspective to the guys in Raleigh. And that’s why you haven’t seen squat from him about this all year. It’s no longer his job.
The problem with showing Doeren the door in year 2 is that you must also show Yow the same door. 2-and-out for Doeren would clearly be admitting to a monumental high-level hiring failure and the person responsible for that high-level hiring failure must pay some sort of professional price. Are you going to trust the same AD that got it so wrong two years ago to make a correct hire two years later?
It’s not like we’re asking for rocket ships to the moon. 2 wins against poor-mediocre ACC teams. Is that so freakin’ hard? If so, then perhaps everyone does need to be shown the door.

Can you imagine how good TJ would be next year if he came back? He’s the same age at DT was in 1973.
Does not matter, unless you are excited about the NIT. Even then, we have work to do to even make that crappy tournament.
BTW, we’re 12th in the conference in defense?? Really?!? Who are the 3 worse teams than us?
You say “NIT season” like it’s a sure thing. We still have work to do to even get into that pathetic tournament. We HAVE to win at least 1 if not 2 more to feel good about an invite from the Not In Tournament. Can we win 1-2 more? When was the last time a team with THREE burger boys didn’t even make the NIT?
