Just think about that.
03/03/2014 at 8:23 AM #43886PapaWolfParticipantYup, 12 sounds about right.
03/03/2014 at 8:47 AM #43888WulfpackParticipantThe Panthers need this one more than us. And we have been playing matador defense lately. So I expect this one to be ugly rather early. Time for some serious NIT Bubble-ology. Any takers?
03/03/2014 at 9:19 AM #43893BJD95KeymasterWe play MUCH better without expectations. Pitt is ass-ugly, especially of late. Think we beat ’em.
Although at this point, perhaps the 8/9 seed would be better. I’d rather play UVA (hypothetically) on Friday than risk Duke sliding onto the #2 line. They’d f-ck us 6 ways to Sunday. #nightmarefuel
03/03/2014 at 9:21 AM #43894BJD95KeymasterMajor kudos on the Buckets meme, and the Major League references.
03/03/2014 at 9:43 AM #43896MattNParticipantDoes not matter, unless you are excited about the NIT. Even then, we have work to do to even make that crappy tournament.
BTW, we’re 12th in the conference in defense?? Really?!? Who are the 3 worse teams than us?
03/03/2014 at 10:07 AM #43900VaWolf82KeymasterPitt is ass-ugly, especially of late.
Lost to FSU. Struggled mightily against VT and ND. They’re not exactly hitting on all 8 cylinders.
03/03/2014 at 10:17 AM #43902pakfanistanParticipantCall me crazy, I think we win this one.
Hope springs eternal, I guess.
03/03/2014 at 10:47 AM #43909heavyParticipantJiggy, Appreciate you putting this together, especially given the fact of where this team is at this point.
03/03/2014 at 10:58 AM #43912graywolfParticipantAnother L…….it would be cheaper just to stay home.
03/03/2014 at 12:09 PM #43917bill.onthebeachParticipant… The bad news is we’ve already “seen this game”…
Tyler handles the point…
CUZ gets his Twenty….
SOME of our BIGS continue to show marked improvement.. some don’t…
ANTHONY watches for the most part..
A Couple of other GUYS hit some shots…
Our Defense is better than Saturday but not what it was against ‘Cuse…Game comes down to the wire….
The good news is we win this one…
and not necessarily because we deserved it…#NCSU-North Carolina's #1 FOOTBALL school!03/03/2014 at 12:16 PM #43919LumpyParticipantYou people predicting defeat should be ashamed of yourselves. You have obviously not been paying attention this season. Of course we are going to win tonight. We will get our hopes up after our first top 50 win. We will talk about scenarios in the ACCT that will get us back on the bubble. Then we will lose at home to BC and show up flat at the ACCT and lose our first game. I can’t believe you call yourselves fans.
03/03/2014 at 1:07 PM #43923pakfanistanParticipantUnfortunately, we’ve got a catch 22 brewing. If we win they won’t be top 50 any more.
Still, I’ll take win.
03/03/2014 at 1:10 PM #43924bill.onthebeachParticipantthat’s right paky…
just win the damn game and forget about everything tangential to it..
same on saturday…
same next week in Greensboro…#NCSU-North Carolina's #1 FOOTBALL school!03/03/2014 at 2:02 PM #439261.21 JigawattsKeymasterDidn’t get this in the article but…
Series Notes:
– NC State leads series with a record of 9-2
– Pitt is 1-0 against NC State at home. 89-75 (1/23/1971)03/03/2014 at 2:25 PM #43927Wolfpack93ParticipantI would like to see graduation year displayed for all commenters (in addition to avatar and screen name). It would be interesting to see if the “half full” comments are coming from recent grads. As a ’93 grad, I admit my opinion is clouded as a result of saying WTNY for two decades.
03/03/2014 at 3:31 PM #4392913OTParticipantWe’ve got people on here worried over whether or not we’ll face Duke or Virginia on Friday?
I’m more concerned with Thursday.
03/03/2014 at 4:04 PM #43932redcanineParticipantBeadle’s back! Now I know we’ll win tonight.
03/03/2014 at 4:09 PM #43933BJD95KeymasterWhen seeding is the topic, then Friday matchup really is the primary concern. That’s what makes conference tourney previewing “interesting.”
03/03/2014 at 4:14 PM #43935tjfoose1ParticipantNo clue. Throw a dart, blindfolded.
03/03/2014 at 4:45 PM #43936PapaWolfParticipantLUMPY! Genius!!
That is EXACTLY what is going to happen!!03/03/2014 at 4:49 PM #43937Prowling WoofieParticipantI don’t know any of the Pitt players, but two of them will have career games tonight.
Book it !!!
03/03/2014 at 4:51 PM #43938MrPlywoodParticipant“The good news is we win this one… and not necessarily because we deserved it…”
That’s OK, we’ve already lost a few that we didn’t deserve to lose.
03/03/2014 at 5:27 PM #4394013OTParticipantHopefully, the Central game will run well past 9pm, so that we can be reminded yet again of the November loss that set the tone for this season.
