The kid’s videos look really good … his attitude looks GREAT. On another basketball / player subject … what is NCAA process / status of Omer Yurtseven’s eligibility????
A side note ( question) … why have the Martin twins been removed from the 2015-2016 roster of “gopack” but not Barber … all three are GONE. BUT in reality all three WERE part of the 2015-2016 team and should still show as such. I can’t help but think that may point to a factor in “The Exodus”. People talk about team chemistry … I expect players leave more often because of coach’s attitude than some teammate’s ball hogging. If the two bigs go NBA, Freeman is going to have a lot on his shoulders with some part time help from fly-weights Kirk and Rowan.
L’ville has done the right thing …. never thought I’d say they would show some degree of class, but they have. HOWEVER, the lying, cheating bastards up the road continue on their march toward the big dance. I’m so tired of unCheat’s arrogance.
As Rick said, yes he can play. Technically, the very next game against Louie … however, Gott has already declared ( see post game statement) that “Dennis will not play this year … that isn’t even being considered.” Once again, I have to ask if he is here for only one year why not put him in as soon as he is able ? I mean if, and I hope/hear he is, Smith is ALL THAT good and will have a month of practice with the team at some level … he should be able to contribute. And I doubt if anyone is a 1/2 and done. I have to wonder if there are not some under the radar guarantees between staff/players and these early “arrivers” ( as compared to arrovers).
There were two pieces in the N&O about Dennis Smith. The first, which is still online, was about him graduating early and being on campus. The second, which appears to have been pulled, was about him being a one-and-done and that if he was added to the roster NOW that he would have this semester, 3 years and another semester. If he is a one and done … lets make him a 1 and 1/2 and done. Suit him up NOW. Also, maybe going a little deeper down the bench by playing Shaun and Dennis might get the attention of the “starting 7”. Competition does not always have to wear a different color uniform.
DUMP HIM!!!!!! He broke team rules, broke state law … has no respect for TEAM, COACHES, SCHOOL, FAMILY … SELF. If he’s not dumped, we need to change our uniforms to baby blue or thug orange!
I stand behind all of the coach’s decisions that he has made concerning Thornton … especially the last one to dismiss him. I also hope that he, Thornton, eventually grows up, but I do wish him well. And finally, F*** UNcheat and all their damn thugs!
If it is drugs … kick his ass off the team. If it is a campus/traffic /ticket issue, hell … I still can’t get transcripts because of unpaid tickets from ’68.

VaWolf82I need to double check my math, but if I understand correctly, 90 days for unc at chapel hill is up one week from today … of course they could milk this and ask for an extension which would place the final punishment to be handed out after b’ball season.
The Pep Band needs to learn the Maverick Theme song to play when he makes a “3”.

Welcome to the WOLFPACK, Maverick. You are bringing some greatly needed skills to the team but please don’t let your name go to your head … THIS is a TEAM. Every player is important … the starting 5, the next 4 subs and the scout team. The players that you’ve mentioned and those that are returning to play are/were about NC STATE … not minutes. Just watch some old videos when TJ or Cat or BJ were on the sideline getting a breather or avoiding some overzealous ref … they were still totally in the game. To the coaching staff … great last minute grab.
GP seems to be a Greek Purvis … announces that he is going to make campus visits in USA and then decides to stay in Greece to play “pro” … I wonder what they will use for money to pay him. Time for Anya to get serious!!!
I was hoping that GP was going to make his decision known after the U19 Championship game … which was “yesterday” ( Greece time now 1:12 AM Monday).
