Congratulations to the Pack. May they go deep into the NCAA baseball tournament. Would be great to have a cardiac pack in baseball.
Meanwhile, TV says the Tar Holes won the NCAA Lacrosse National Championship today. Just have one question – Are they still cheating?

Yes, I am going to do this. Not sure all the facts were considered. Personally I love that we don’t have two strong running backs now and that we have to take field goals instead of TD’s. Don’t you? Go ahead and cut this post but if we had Shad we would likely be undefeated now and ahead in this game.
That Shad decision will haunt this team for the rest of this season. Best we will have is seven wins.
After long and thoughtful consideration I’m convinced the decision to dismiss Shad was too hasty. I expect more games like this the rest of the year. It was a good decision for discipline. Bad decision for winning games. Just calling it the way I’m seeing it.

Sudden loss of a team mate that had been counted on during the past 3/4 years without time to muddle through the seven stages of grief. Almost like a death of a close friend.
I don’t know. Probably too philosophical. But that stuff does affect the stability and performance of organizations.
This is really disappointing. I was so looking for a great season from Shad. And especially the one-two punch of two great running backs. At some point kids have to grow up. Now somebody has to step up now. Too bad it isn’t Shad.
For every repudiation there often lies opportunity.
I could see an independent student publication similar to “The Onion News,” maybe “The WOLFPACK RAMP” – a la Ramps (Allium tricoccum), published once a month during the school year being very popular on campus. Because of the popularity of satire it could potentially create a lot of ad revenue also. There’s nothing like it published now, right?

Congrats to SFN, PackPride, Wolfpacker, Dan Kane, Yahoo Sports, ESPN, and many others for doing their jobs to keep this racketeering from being swept neatly under to rug. This is mere shades less serious than point-shaving in the 50’s, but wait, scratch that – they both involved deception for personal gain.
Yes, we all know there are two kinds of people in the world – those that get caught and those that don’t! But when you get caught, you should pay the price. If ever there was a reason to resurrect the NCAA “death penalty,” this is it! At a minimum, the same that happened to Minnesota – banners down, records expunged, extended probation, lost scholarships, et, al.

Was there ever any hope that Fedora would “set things straight” when he bought his first football team rings for ACC championship when they were ineligible for that season?
Look for Kyle Washington to have a breakout year next year. Smart, hard worker, opportunistic, a great attitude, just needs to gain more confidence.
