One of the best posts I have ever read on SFN. My dad was not a hole fan, so I was spared that decision.

I joined many of you on the sidelines. I sat outside by my fire pit, smoking a cigar, drinking some Makers Mark and listening to a book. Did not know the results until this morning… and did not care.

I have reverted to a “Sidney Lowe” type of apathy. I actually watched Big Bang Theory reruns instead of the game. It has become so bad, that if I come across a State game on the weekend while surfing; I will watch for a moment and then move on… no matter the score. I have better things to do with my time, even though I really like the kids on this team. (Bona fides: I am a State grad, I bleed red, I hate UNC and I bought an F150 because it was State Red and my block S license plate would look great on it.)

If it were me, I would spend the money on the SIG P238. You are paying for name/performance/quality, and it is a SIG!

For economy, you can’t beat a Walther PK380.

Kimber makes a nice little micro .380, but you are definitely paying for the name.

I have been watching this year, but only sporadically. It has been painful, but not as painful as most of the Lowe years. At this point, my real interest is in Cat’s play. He better be very strong in the ACC-POY conversation, even given that he is playing on a non-tourney team. I will be very disappointed if he is not at least 2nd team All American.

Tangent… I was listening to Bomani Jones yesterday and he stated that the NC State coaching job was second rate and our 1983 NC was flukish. (This was all couched in a conversation about MFBD retreading the Miami job). I said WTF and looked him up and found he was a tarhole. F Bomani Jones.

@tj… could only hope, but he signed for big money so he is locked… Broncos screwed up and could have drafted RW… RW being mentored by Manning… what might have been

If Denver can get the offense untracked, they will be every bit the match for the Deflatriots (UNC-New England) and the Packers. Their D is every bit as good as the Seahawks. A good playoff indication will be when the play both NE and GB this season (in Denver I believe).

Full disclosure… I am a Denver homer (along with BD). Got my tix for Dec 20 in Pittsburgh vs. the Steelers.

@BJD… got our family Christmas present all set. Annual Broncos game on the east coast in December. Seeing them play Big Ben at the Heinz on 12/20.

And yes… Reeves hamstrung Elway with bad coaching and teams, otherwise he would have two more rings.

Pack wins in Winston-Salem this year, makes the Cheaters not prosper, and get 10 this year. Book it!

I will say 10 wins (which includes a decent bowl). I will also prognosticate 1 big upset of the Tiggers or Noles, and a thumping of the Fighting Asterisks (that made me snort coffee, Wuf).

Dayum if those running back boys don’t have a “Beast Mode” look to them. I bet they like Skittles!

Too shady for anything in my yard but flowering plants. I did plant a lot of these though. These are an actual variety and called Wolfpack Red Azaleas. I tried to link some pics from my Facebook page, but it would not work. So I just grabbed and image from the web.

    Go Pack!

I wish the best for him. At 24 I can understand his decision, but I still think it may be a mistake. I think a good/great season next year could have gotten him into the high second/low first round of the draft. Oh well… hopefully Gott can pull a rabbit out of his hat.

If K wins the NC, is there any possibility that he hangs it up, going out on the best of high notes? Or, does he announce it before hand in a near-future season, making the Grand Tour collecting kudos and high-fives, and deciding who is his second coming?

If he goes… a feeding frenzy awaits.

There were past years that I turned off the TV before the half of a State football game.

There were past years when I could name only a couple of State basketball players.

I was not a bandwagon fan… just a life-long fan who ached for the Pack, and had trouble investing so much emotion for so little heart-crushing return.

    Not this year.

Thank you players! Thank you Coach D! Thank you Gott! Thank you Dr. Yow!

I was on the Brickyard on a Monday night in ’83! Go Pack!

It will be scotch for me. Sipping if we are winning in blowout… moderately imbibing if the game is nip-and-tuck… hammering if we are getting hammered.

I am optomistic and saying that I will be no more than six fingers into my Dalwhinnie.

Ok, I am going through my morning internet stroll which includes all things SFN. “Louisville foul or not?”, “Go Dayton!”, “UCLA sux!”, “U*NC sux more!”…

I get to Wufpacker’s gambling joke and I TRULY snort coffee all over my keyboard. I hope all the world is thick skinned, because sometimes things are just funny.
    Thank you for that Wuf!

Now GO PACK and beat Nova! (Oh yeah… Wooooo! Pig! Sooie!)

I am ok with the St. Pete gig. Does give us a little recruiting exposure in Florida. If I did not have an NFL trip already planned, I would probably go.

Re. the holes… does my heart good to see a morally bankrupt school play in a financially bankrupt city. Fits like a hand in glove.
