It’s funny, none of the talking heads are trashing Indiana for firing a coach that has missed the NCAA’s now 2 out of 4 years.

Mike – time will tell. Sooner or later he has to do it on a stage bigger than Central. How will he do with prima donnas?

He needs one more step up IMHO to see if he is ready for a big time P5 gig.

Not saying he will be our guy – there are several others I would prefer. Just saying I think someone will find a diamond in the rough

Regarding Moton, I dont think he will be the guy, but anyone who knows him knows he would be a home run.

He can flat out coach, teach, X’s and O’s, whatever you want to call it. Just as important, his players would run through walls for him. Look at what went wrong over the last few years. As much as we needed X & O’s, player mutiny was just as much if not a bigger issue. Recruiting would not be an issue either at D-1, especially State. He is connected to AAU circuits and mommas want their boys playing for a man of his character.

Someone will hire Moton soon and make him a rich man, and will be rewarded for their “risk”. Guy can flat out coach.

All game long the announcers are talking about how lackadaisical we are, how disappointing we are as a team. Now they are defending Gott and what a mistake it is to let him go.

The REASON they have talked all game long is the reason it is time to go. Clueless.

No, I want a guy who makes the players around him better. I said he has athleticism but it’s time to learn the game. But frankly, I see the attitude and the lack of court sense and I would not want him on my team until he learns the game and makes others better. Not denying the talent but talent alone does not cut it and our season is proof of that.

Do you know the difference between DSJ and Lo Brown in his junior year?

#1) One has 2 more years of college experience
#2) and was coached by Bobby Lutz

How many guys have had a career scoring night with DSJ guarding him? I use the term guarding loosely. My point was the conversation earlier in the season DSJ vs Lo – at this stage I would take Lo. Yes he had Lutz and yes he had more experience but if I am an NBA GM I am looking for guys who play a team game especially from the PG slot.

This dude would rather have a development league PG vs taking an 18 year old playing, for all intents and purposes, without a coach in his freshman year of college and still managing to be in top 5 in ppg and #1 in the conference in assists per game in the conference. Good luck! Do you have a fantasy NBA league you play in? Can I get in that?

DSJ has athletic ability but no court awareness or ability to play team ball. If I were an NBA scout, I am not jumping up and down with excitement and certainly not a lottery pick in my opinion. Give me Lo Brown all day.

Color analyst says “If NC State can get a couple defensive stops………” Has he not scouted us at all?

5 point difference at half – Henderson going 1 on 4 to get rejected and they get a 3 at the buzzer.

We could have been down 6 but instead are down 11. HUGE psychological difference in the locker room between 6 and 11.

I have a few free minutes before my meetings this afternoon. I am watching this? Thinking a nap may be more productive……or else this game may cure insomnia and force a nap. But regardless I an loyal and support my team no matter what.

Klemp’s son is not very good. Only problem with that is we are worse.

THAT was the best shot we could get? But the dribbling sure looked pretty.

Yes I would take LoBrown ahead of DSJ – back to conversation earlier this year. And the guy DSJ was guarding (I use that term loosely) gets player of the game and doubles his average.

Not a fan of Doris Burke and you know you have reached a new low when she is in town. BUT, she did say during the 2nd half – “I was excited to see Smith and knew I had these two games in a row to see him play. Frankly I am underwhelmed.”

    Spot on, nailed it!

GUY with the bun repeatedly burned DSJ for a career high. I would be interested in seeing a +/- stat like they have in hockey for DSJ and the man he is guarding (and I use that term very loosely).

And with all respect to the seniors, I hope Beejay gets a standing O and starts.

What about DSJ? Do you honor him knowing last home game? I say no – just curious to hear others thoughts.

The Mrs Archie tweet was another $1M a year signal. Sure, we will listen but instead of $2.5M that is $3.5M. That is her take of the raise for the shopping and other expenses she will incur.

Of course in my house, if I made $3.5M it would still be $1 for me and $3.499999M for her.

As for the talk of an interim, who would come from the outside to be an interim coach? Plus, cant just hire Joe Blow off the streets. There are NCAA regs that must be met.

From the inside, maybe Whit, but really nothing to gain. Maybe one of the assistants, but still lame duck AND creates the possibility of conflict for the next coach. What if interim asst coach goes 5-0 and wins a couple games in the tournament? Would make it that much harder to hire a guy like Archie or divide the fan base even more.

Also with regards to Archie being a HWSNBN protege – I would beg to differ mightily. The Miller dad is a long time well respected coach. Both Sean and Archie grew up everything basketball and made the most of their athletic careers despite not being exceptionally athletic.

They made it on smarts and playing like coaches. I think both have followed in their dad’s footsteps to the coaching ranks, teaching what he always taught. In summary I dont think anything Arch teaches comes from HWSNBN.

Gonna take an NCAA championship I think.

    That would be epic.

The only thing less likely is Summer Erb modeling for Victoria Secret.

    McCallum

How about Beejay modeling for Victoria Secret?

Why not Marshall? Because he was highly sought after last time but was insulted by the events and being #2. I dont think he would consider us now – my guess he is holds a pretty big grudge.

Name a Duke assistant that has been long term successful. Many have had a brief run of success but none have been able to maintain.

And Collins? The only whiner I could not stand more than Collins was Paulus. I would take Hurley before Collins anyday.

How about though we stay away from Dookies.

Up until this year I was in the Gott camp, but I hate to say it because I dont want to go through another change for sake of change. But he has lost this team and I am afraid all future credibility.

BJD, only because most people have not heard much about him. The guy can flat out coach and would be the diamond in the rough looking to make a big move and raise. He whipped us for sure a couple years ago.
