Isn’t it great that we all are entitled to our opinion, and too bad my opinion isn’t liked by some of you. But that is still and always will be what I think. Of course without the profanity included. He had a great year, but you can’t turn if off when you go to the big dance, when it counts the most. FTs are and always will be part of the game, as I heard that game referenced too more times than I care for today, when St. Louis played Louisville, by the game announcers. TJ don’t want his last memory in a Wolfpack uniform to be the St. Louis game. He will come back next year with a improve supporting cast.

And missing crucial free throws in the Carrier dome, that cost us the game. So repeat all you want to. If he wants to go to the NBA with his last memory that of his performance against St. Louis, then so be it. He will be back.

As for those that are true Wolfpack followers, the men are gone, yes, but the women are still in, and play on ESPN2 tonight @ 630. They deserve our support.

Leaders lead in crucial situations. St. Louis was one of those situations. While I appreciate the contribution Warren made to the team and our record, when the game is on the line, you have to lead by example.

Love all the negativity toward Gott, when the previous coach never got us in the dance ever. Gott 3 years at State and 3 years in the NCAA. The coach can’t shoot FTs for players. Our loss to St. Louis was on them, more so on the great POY Warren. Absolutely terrible at the FT line, he should give his award back. And if he aspires to make the NBA, he owes us at least one more year, after the St Louis game, shooting 4 of 14 from the FT stripe. And the team was 20 of 37. Thus a loss after leading by 16. Hope the loss sticks in their crawl. Just totally inexcusable, and certainly not the coaches fault.

What a game for Tyler and the team. He was worn out, and soaking wet on his last FT attempts. Great job team. Time to beat St. Louis! And proud of the defense too! Time for all you nay sayers to get on board, and believe in this team. We won!

Had an obnoxious so called carowina friend ragging me after our loss yesterday. His comments “Start the bus”, and “Can you say NIT.” Messaged him back and told him he knew where he stick his NIT! We are dancing.

I think 3 games in 3 days, compared to 2 for duke, took its toll in the second half, and we just ran out of gas. But preseason predictions never even had us having a chance of doing what we did. Lose 4 of 5 starters, and knocking at the door of NCAA tourney. Great job team. Quite proud of the effort. Hope Warren comes back next year, to help improve the team and its ability to win big games.

I did feel better about playing Clemson than Duke, but it is what it is. As for the no call, I thought there should have been a foul called, but after watching the replay, the call was correct, or should I say the no call.

Maybe we declare this officially payback weekend. We owed Miami for the miserable loss at home. And we certainly owe Syracuse for blowing the game, then probably Duke, then UVA. Here’s to PAYBACK!

Our women lose to ND again, but expected with Gatlin on the bench. But unx falls twice to Duke within hours men and women. What a perfect ending to a day. Now I don’t have to hear the trash talking holes fans. Yessssss!

Every team can have a bad day. Here is hoping the holes have one today. And that Tyler keeps the team under control, with his leadership on the court. And just maybe. Miracles do happen!

I too have become a big fan of this team. I watched us get down by double digits in the first and second half, and had my doubts but the move by the coach, and the scrappy defense. led us to another upset victory, and we still missed quite a few FTs, so it could have been worse. But definitely a great deal for $7 a game, and free parking in the parking deck, not to mention undefeated at Reynolds. Go Wolfpack Women! Again don’t just read about them, come out and support this team. They deserve it!

Hopefully the team that showed up against Maryland in the 2nd half will again be there, with the addition of Warren. Trust they realize it is a team effort, and we can’t put if all of Warren. And if not for being sick, I would have my presence at the game, that I certainly don’t consider boring. Guess we shall see.

And put Lewis back as the starting pg. He knows how to run the offense, even though he lacks the speed of Barber. Barber just not ready, and can get really out of control. Still learning, so give Tyler more playing time.

I say we save our time and money, and go watch the women play. They know what to do, and how to do it. We need to pack Reynolds Coliseum. They are winners, and play like it. No home losses either. Only 2 losses by 9 points each, but closer than the final score. But have knocked off every ranked team above them. Most recently blistering a 17th ranked FSU team, by 23. Miami on the road Sunday, and I actually expect another win. Game televised at 2 on Fox South. If you haven’t seen them, take the time. They deserve it. At least they have the concept of team and basketball down.

They are open all game for 3s, and we don’t even have a perimeter game. Can our guys actually not shoot outside shots, and 3s. Warren, and Lewis both were hitting them last year. We seem to average 1 or 2 a game. And rely on the inside game, while the other team scores 3s, we trade with 2s, and get further behind. And no matter how quick the ‘Cat’ is, he is out of control, and scores little. I say Lewis needs to be put back at the starting point guard. Speed don’t score points. Mentality and control have more success. Something Barber has not shown me, and Warren seems to get into the CJL mode sometimes, instead of giving the ball off to someone else who has a better shot at the basket. We are on a downward spiral.

Missed the men’s game and loss. But got the greatest value watching the State women. Great comeback from a 10 point second half deficit. These women fight to the end, and came out on top for doing so. Congrats!

Vandenburg has got to become more aggressive in the paint. And Tyler Van Winkle needs to wake up! We have yet to see the Tyler of last year. Maybe discouraged at not starting, but gonna have to produce when you are in the game, to earn more playing time. Where are your 3s? This team needs you! Warren can’t be expected to do it all, because we see it wears him down. Come on team, and show up!!!!!

Go Cowboys! Wait they did go. last night. Choked again, with our last place Monte Kifffin ( former Wolfpack football coach), defense, and 3 turnovers. Bring Jimmy Johnson back. Jerry Jones has money, but no brains when it comes to football teams.

I am sure as the season moves along, with game experience, we will learn how to pull these games out, and not blow it in the end. But other players on the team will have to step it up for this to happen, in each and every game. No hit and miss. Gotta bring the A game every time.

I was at the game and said if it comes down to free throw we will lose. We did, of course with the one sided officiating, but still had our chances with a pretty much freshmen team. We will grow from this and learn. Better now than later. Guys have got to get the FTs% up, it can cost us games, and the Tyler of last year, has got to come back, he was great last year shooting 3s, but they beat us in that catergory, and get the ball into Vandenburg. Again we will be better for this, even though we all hate to lose, but we hung right in there with a ranked team of veterans.

Was at the LSU game, and had a great time, and impressed with the team, and performance of their bigs. Plan making some more trips to Reynolds for more of the same, regardless of the opposition. We are tough to beat in Reynolds, just need more support from the fans, and fill the house, with excited fans.
