I wonder if places like Texas, Indiana, and Ohio State are, in part, not as desirable as previously the case due to having to share recruiting battlegrounds with the likes of Baylor, Butler, and Dayton, and effectively aren’t as good a jobs as some years ago. Although not as cozy as the Triangle, prior built-in regional advantages seem to be dwindling.

And these heads are all right, it’s a high risk/high reward job opportunity.

I think the author got his information from this site. In part because I mentioned King Rice in one of the threads, as a sort of non sequitur joke, and I guess it turns out he is a coach and the writer added him to his list.
I haven’t kept track of Tom Crean, would love to see him as a dark horse candidate. Aside, if Hoiberg were to be a legit candidate, we’d have to wait until the end of the nba season and that’s April (w/i playoffs end of May).
