IMO, this is a bizarre move for Yurt7. Having set out 7 or more games his first yr at State, he was already behind in experience and playing time. He made major improvements last season under Keats. And as someone said, had the green light to shoot the 3 ball. He won’t have that at G’town and not the team mates that will allow him open shots. I just don’t get it, why make a move meaning more time off the floor with transfer rule? Maybe he plans to work out with Ewing during that span, I don’t know. Seems like our on legendary big man Tommy B would been just as good mentor or better since would still been eligible to play next season then perhaps declare for NBA. Just a bad career move on paper. Hope it works out as really like Yurt7 in the red and white. Course, college basketball has become more a “ME” game than Team game. SMH.

had days Fishing BASS bass tournaments when I actually couldn’t hit the water!! Now that’s choking ??

Zingo, that ain’t choking, that’s feeling the pressure when they don’t bite. Chasing those little green fish will humble you like a loss to BC.

Good question BOTB…IMO it was ‘too high/too laidback’. Pack came in with a high from beating da Ville but too laidback not play not to stop IMO the best back court guard duo in the league with Robinson and Bowman. We had no answer for them putting up over 50 pts on Pack. Don’t you agree…. its more we were ‘out played’, not so much ‘not ready to play’? I also believe there was certain play and players that helped us get out played. Abu is absolutely dead weight when on the floor. His TO and bad fouls just don’t justify any minutes he gets. The 3 or 4 minute span Abu was in the game saw Moe and unforced errors kill us intiated by Abu. The TO collapse at the last minute mark by Freeman and Johnson was total mental breakdowns. I feel like if we got the ball in bounds cleanly, we win game. Like some said, a day to cool off helps but it still hurts to see BC move on. Maybe BC showed Pack you gotta play with a chip on your shoulders if given a second chance in NCAA.

Bottom line is, we choked yesterday.

BOTB….I don’t think we choked yesterday and didn’t say that. I do agree we can’t seem to take advantage of an opportunity when the door is open for us. Don’t agree we came out “not ready to play” either. We may have came out and got “out played” but didn’t come not ready to play. That’s more NCStateS**T than choking. We gotta learn to seize the moment from the tip off. It will come with KK.

I like Keatts. I really do. And the team went above and beyond my (very tempered) expectations this season. My disappointment (and I suspect others’) stems from the fact that no matter who the coach is, (HWSNBN, Sid, Gott, KK) we seem to squander great opportunities when we create them. No one expected us to finish 3rd in the ACC, but we did. We got the single bye. The door was wide open, waiting for us to walk through, and we completely missed it; as if we didn’t see it/walked right past it.

Bottom line is, we choked yesterday. Hopefully, we still make the NCAA, get a favorable seed, and make a healthy run. But I am of the belief it is much easier to win your conference tourney than the entire NCAA tournament, despite having to play so many back-to-back games. I just want some hardware, any hardware.

This says it all…bravo. Why I’m frustrated after yesterday. We just can’t seem to seize an opportunity from tripping over our own feet. Having seen and experienced the winning times of the red and white from the early 70’s to mid 80’s, I so much wanna see some hardware.

83 and Bass et al just think we need to lick our wounds, accept our fate, “thank you sir may I have another?!” (Animal House reference for those from Faison!), and move on. KK is a bust, the future is partly cloudy at best, wish we could have been accepted at xh, who is our daddy YES YOU are our daddy xh, should have hired Sean/Archie pick your flavor, etc etc etc soforth soforth soforth.
Guys I know you don’t give a freak but I’m embarrassed for you! Just bite me, I want to puke! I don’t accept unx/Duke exceptionalism as a way of life and remember when it wasn’t that way! I’ll stand on the smoky mound and wave the flag if that’s what it takes!!!!!!!

Accept our Faith? KK is a Bust? WTH? Who said anything close to that? Not sure what that smoke is from but seems be effecting your eyes too.

WP, And Louisville in with win over UVA, Syracuse with win over UNC puts them on bubble watch. Gotta be realistic, we are not a sure bet with ACC teams behind us still alive in ACCT. Yes we finished tied for 3rd in conference but two of those teams we tied are ranked in top 20. Not trying to be negative, guess so frustrated we had destiny twice in our hands only to see losses put it out of ours. Hopefully this loss as suggested will kick start the Pack as only got one chance if make big dance.

Chain, the Pack just can’t control its own destiny when opportunity knocks. And it will rear its fugly head again come Selection Sunday. If Cuse, Ville and ND win another game, then we are a bubble team. Let one or two of them win 2 more games then we are NIT bound. 11 teams from ACC is not going to big Dance. A lot will depend on the outcome of games to be played in Bronx. Such a waste today…just like at GT.

NIT here we come. Damn….so many opportunities blown this season against teams we should not have lost to. Much as I hate to say it, we need the Cheats to beat Cuse now. Damn it…what was supposed to be a win then a relaxing nite watching the Cheats get beat.

11th? We may fall out of the big dance if we lose. Let ND, Ville and Cuse advance couple more games and the Pack is NIT bound guaranteed. Still time, not giving up..yet.

We are not a good block out rebounding fundamentally sound team. No need to root the guys out of the paint. If Yurt leaves, he is team Italy not NBA.

We look like the team that played yesterday. Getting beat in every aspect. No answer for BC quickness so far. Dorin out is killing us. Maybe some zone?

This is a game Pack really needs to win and do it without alot of energy. Gotta stop Robinson…..again. Don’t see him going 8 of 20 again against us. Posted this in another post….Don’t see ACC getting 11 teams in either….which worries me that the Pack is not a lock. A loss today against BC, a run by da Ville, ND and Cuse, they could potentially pass Pack in NCAA at large bids. Beat BC today and feel better Pack is in. Lose today and better have some thick gloves to cover those fingernails.

    Go Pack…..Beat BC !! Survive and Advance….

This will not be an easy game. Pack will have to stop the dribble drive and Robinson. He didn’t play most of the game in Raleigh. How he goes is how Eagles fly. The Pundits have us making an early exit with Eagles upset….hope KK uses this for motivation. How quickly the media turns on us.

    Go Pack!

That’s one that got away. We did look tired. Not sure why as someone else said. Figured our extended rotation would tire GT out. We also looked frustrated with a lot of calls and no-calls from refs. Oh, well….the Ville takes center stage now.
