Yow has to go sooner rather than later. I am sick that we are burgeoning on 20 years of obscurity in bb and fb. Sick of it. We have the same team as last year with the swapping of Cat for Smith……and 40 more pound of Anya.

I stated last year Doeren was a mistake. Yow herself stated we needed to copy ourselves after the SECOND and be fierce recruiters. She did not keep her word. I have been saying she should for 2 years.

Doerner keeps setting records for our program. Now 0-10 in ACC games. Today’s offense and defense was sad. Yow needs to go. Unfortunately she won the battle with O’Brin and we lost a good coach. She has a basketball coach who can’t keep his personal life out if the athletic department and she chased off a great football coach. I ran into coach Kiffen 2 years ago and even he was still bitter. Well, after this season if you think we can out recruit UNC or let alone ECU you are crazy! We are a long way from being competitive against top 25 teams. 96 points agains, 41 for and a shut out with 36 passing yards. But with our schedule we will get a bowl game with someone like Miami of Ohio. 36 years since an ACC title over a year without a win!

Our corners are slow…so we play up on their receivers and get burned. We cannot read their option. No pressure on the QB.

Doeren really mismanaged the last 8 seconds of the first half. Doeren does not deserve to be in the ACC. And as I have said all along……Yow needs to go!

Well, wrong on all counts. This team, and specifically the defense, are showing us a few things. Anyone can score against us, our corners are so weak it stings, we cannot tackle, our DBs our slooooooowwwwwwww. Any good team, as FSU will expose this and we will pay as we are with CU. Regarding the offense being ready…..I never thought Doerner would have them ready for Death Valley. Check your history. Our best teams have not been ready for that environment and now a 4th year coach with this weak young team is going to break the mold. Ugh!

Ok, after reading some of the posts I will reflect. Being 50 years old I have lived the first 25 years of my life with Wolfpack basketball that one several ACC tourneys and 2 national titles. The last 25 years has been talk of rebuilding. You cannot spend 25 years rebuilding. Some posts discuss the youth of the team, well we got beat by youth the other night against UNC. Every team is young, so it is irrelevant. I feel that the strength of Duke and UNC will not tip the scales our way until some coaches retire, and even then we may not benefit. Forget what happened against Miami. The reality is that we are owned by UNC and Duke and until that changes who cares about making the tournament. Our goal should be to win the ACC, but I hate to say that our strength was lost many years ago. How I have hated the last 20 years of State basketball.

I am so sick of this season and the team’s inability to preserve a lead. I knew the game was doomed on the last possession. I saw it before. At least 20 times in my lifetime. UNC always has us on talent and coaching. The one person should have touched the ball on the last play of the game, got it and took it the length of the court. So why are we having a discussion about at large bids? This is embarrassing.

Didn’t Lee make both turnovers at the end? Dribble off the foot and then errant pass. Impossible to understand how we lost this one.

Is it me or does Des Lee just over estimate his on abilities? I am sure he plays better in practice against the Pack defense. Well once again we are getting our butts handed to us in Chapel Hill.

Why does Lewis think he can take the ball end to end? That kid is a waste of a scholarship. The NCAA talent does allow to develop a player in 4 years. 2nd year McD all American and still cannot secure a starting position.

UNC is giving us every chance to stay in this game, but we cannot shoot worth a lick. This is an ugly game. However I am getting used to ugly games. Lewis letting the shot clock run out showed how stunned our guys are….along with his two bricks. No confidence in those guys.

I have been sitting here for 30 minutes thinking of something to say, but words cannot describe how I feel. The only consolation is I live at the beach in CA walking distance from a lot of alcohol to help me forget. Another 30 point loss.

Year 3 of coach G and it will further deterioration. Furthermore, good talent cannot be stopped by bad coaching. As long as Mike and Roy are around we will never be able to out recruit them. So we should stop over analyzing each game. Since the early 90s we have had nothing but mediocrity. Our solution is to keep bringing in new coaches and expecting better results. I am firing off an email next to Yow’s office. She is the boss and we have 2 hopeless sports programs in FB and BB.
