TJ has had three drives/catches near the basket with no foul. Garris Adams has had three drives to the basket and has been to the line twice.
Gowolves, to Rick’s point, with the way our games have been officiated (see TJ’s third and fourth foul calls in this game), it’s easy to see why our guys play ole’ defense in the last few moments.
Effort and intensity were certainly there tonight. Proud of our team, and I hope it turns into something special. Hate to add another last second loss to the litany of ones I’ve been carrying for what seems like my whole life. I hope we get to see the Asterisk in the tournament. I’m sure our luck won’t change but maybe TJ goes for 40.
Agreed Wufpup. Keeping running the offense through TJ. Also, look for an easy backdoor situation when setting up Turner for the 3-ball.
I think we may want to go off-book here, and continue to put the Asterisk on the line. It stops the clock, and they can only score two per possession. Don’t worry, my wife will shoot me when we lose by 40.
Box-and-1 on Paige the rest of the game. Vandy and Anya will have to split the rest of the time. Gott may want to put Freeman in to spell Washington for at least the next minute or so. These guys have played as tough as we could have hoped for tonight. Hopefully these last three minutes won’t be a let down.
The whistleblowers are in full force. Luckily we’ve not just been totally screwed on the whistles. Tyler should be back in the game after this timeout. Cat has done much better in the 2nd half than in the 1st, but only Tyler can keep the offense going without TJ on the floor.
Putting on my Captain Obvious hat, watching tonight it’s hard to believe we could beat anyone. Can’t defend the three against the worst-3-pointing-shooting team in the conference. Can’t defend the paint against a guard who never drives. Can’t hit water if we fell out of a boat (from the line or the arch). TJ lost the ball himself at least three times, let it through his legs, off his hands. Not sure if this has been posted, but it seemed the our team (perhaps our coaching staff) wants to run from success. Tried the box-and-1 on McDaniel in the first half, didn’t appear to run it in the 2nd. If they did, their execution was as bad as my diet plan. As bad as the ‘Cuse hose-job was, this was worse because it seemed the team was never involved in playing to win the game.
BobLee now playing the Deflection card. When all else fails, result to sanctimony wrapped in ever-righteous indignation!!
Given the Blue-like FT disparity, I can’t be more pleased with the way our guys, everyone, stepped up, made plays, didn’t get too down despite the striped advantage to FSU. The offense only bogged down a few times the entire game. Decent rebounding, gave up a few too many open looks but cannot be happier with the determination of the team. Also, KW is going to be quite a leader on this team.
Boy, regardless of the outcome, this team has increased its resilience about 1000 times given the Duke and UVa losses.
Des has had a very good 2nd half so far. Doing much better as the 2nd PG on the floor with driving to the basket consistently. Another bad bounce with the Lewis strip leading to a lay-in for FSU.

I think it’s important for Turner to become good scoring option in 2nd half. If not, Warren’s going to be quintuple-teamed in the 2nd.
