52 and dreary in H-Town so El Paso weather would be an upgrade today

Todd Graham is a worthless POS so the opportunity to spit on his grave today is a privilege.

Victim statement given at the time of the assault names Markell as the primary puncher so this won’t go away anytime soon. Almost certainly done for the season and barring a miraculous turn of events, done for good at NC State.

I just buy a spiral sliced ham, but man, that sounds good BotB and sounds like fun too. I am planning to get that trip in to Atlanta Hwy Seafood with family next week after Christmas.

Brisket is the weapon of choice for Christmas dinner here.

Historic performance from behind the arc. Not even the weave and heave made 19 3’s in one game.

Hopefully the Pack fares better against Jacksonville than the Texans did. This one is even on real TV out here.

Baxley’s was the closest thing there was to a cafeteria during my days at State. I ate lunch there roughly 3 days a week. Good stuff

Pretty good first half. I am concerned that Beverly is going to be overmatched physically in the ACC.

I assume they will hand out Markell Johnson posters before the next home game.

As one who’s favorite dish, bar none, is Shrimp & grits, and I have spent a great deal of time in Charleston (was stationed there in the Navy), I’ve tried just about all of the incarnations of said crustacean and corn purveyed in the Holy City (local jargon for the city of Charleston). Some better than others of course.

At almost 64 I’ve had many years of travel to taste that dish in many a place, and in most places I eat that have it on the menu I’ll try it. To my surprise the shrimp & grits at the Washington Duke Inn topped them all. The other surprise that happened on our first visit there was my wife claiming the chicken breast she ordered had a sauce that made it the best she had ever had. Add to it outstanding service and it’s a recipe for a top notch dinning out experience.

Husk does it pretty darned good, but you don’t have to travel 4 hours to get what I think is the top of the heap for that dish.

Yogi the afore mentioned Main Street Bistro has an outstanding shrimp and grits with a Cajun twist.

Tex-Had really good Mexican (at least to this NC native) at Joe T Garcia’s in Fort Worth way back when…still there and still good?

Not sure. I don’t get all the way to Ft Worth very often

Chad Morris to take the Arkansas job.

Didn’t do anything noteworthy at SMOOO so I would expect him to bring home the bacon in Fayetteville

Arkansas hires Hunter Yurachek from UH as their AD. Pigs said to be looking at Morris and Norvell now that their native son has gone all in with War Eagle.

Bottom line, the bowl in Jacksonville was between us and Louisville. Same overall records, but we finished second in the division and beat them head to head. They chose the Cards due to Lamar Jackson. Did they not consider we put about 50,000 red and white in the stands on our last visit to their city? Maybe Lamar will opt not to play to protect his NFL draft status. Ouch! Of course, who knows if Chubb will even play in El Paso?

Markell’s biggest drawback is FT shooting down the stretch.

TexPack with the reverse jinx. Nice!

You’re welcome. I think we can have a winning record. It feels like the old show Junk Yard Wars at times with Keatts sorting through the rubble to find enough parts to win each night, but I like his improv skills so far.

    Braxton for 2 more fts

Markell’s biggest drawback is FT shooting down the stretch. Getting BB eligible may be worth one or two games just on FT shooting at crunch time.

This has been a weird game but Frenchy and Yurt have really come through. Put Yurt in Mike D’Antoni’s system next year and he could be a superstar. Keatts doesn’t pre-determine the minutes either. He’s a hot hand / match-up coach which I like.

I do think he has started to get recruiting momentum but it’s not like we’d be trying to replace Lou Holtz if he goes Rocky Top.

It’s also remarkable to see such widely divergent hairstyles being targeted in the same search.
