Duke is and will always be Duke. Yes they are in a better than normal phase, but I don’t expect them to stay at the top of the Coastal. But even a bad Duke was a good game for NCSU. I guess I want to know if State will ever be something better, consistently, than we have been.
Ideally you would start easy and get a little harder each week and then have a Bye before the….. Oh!
But many of you have a point, why buy tickets and travel to CF for a Bye.
Ferguswolf, I hate to say it but I think BC, GT and WF are playing @ the current bottom feeder. Hopefully that will not be the case by the time GT and Wake come calling.
And hopefully we’ll schedule tougher when we get the players we need.
Any detailed word on Freeman. I didn’t know he was out of action in the Duke game until after a couple substitutions inside he had not come in. Today I just read a sprained ankle. Any details?
I’m still a bit optimistic. We expected this team to show their youth including getting knocked around early but they should improve more than most through the season because of the youth. That said, if we won all the reasonably winnable games (not likely) we would be 10-8 in conference. Win the next 3 and hope remains, 2 of next 3 and we believe we can be competitive, maybe make NIT, win only one or none – just look for the occasional brilliant game, and follow football recruiting. And there’s always Russell, Steven, JR and Nate. A Wolfpacker will win the Superbowl.
Sweezy was there all night. I didn’t see him miss a snap. Of course you never heard his name or number called. For O linemen, that’s a good thing.
Wilson was harassed and there were several motion and holding penalties. But not from #64.I also saw Nate make a couple tackles.

We are very young.
It would be interesting to look at the numbers for O’Brien and Doeren. If we assign this past falls Freshmen that were originally recruited by O’Brien to O’Brien then some of the next years Freshmen are still his while there is a smattering of Doeren recruits in all the classes. Anybody have a handle on the recruiting such that they could break that out? Sorry for my ability to dream up work but not to carry it out.Our winning streak, and what appeared to be our best ball so far, started when Vandy came back. He has disappeared the last two games. Are defenses now focusing on him just enough to take him out of the game, are we neglecting efforts to get him involved, or has Vandy rested on his sparse laurels and not worked as hard as he should? I don’t expect Vandy to be our 2nd option, but whichever big guys are in the game need to be a scoring option and our guards need to get them the ball. That happened some last night but it was usually Freeman and he was usually fouled and he usually missed. Things should get better but the inside game needs work.
Hey, did anyone else in your football viewing yesterday catch this stat that popped up on the NO TB game? Record for multiple TD passing games by a rookie QB = 8, tied by 4 QBs.
Two of those 4 are names you know well, tying the record in year 2012 and year 2013.
I’m glad the ACC is looking better, it will make the Pack look better when we move back up the ladder. Go Clemson! I hate the Buckeyes. Though I think both teams are overrated, I’m not sure what will happen in this game.
And I doubt this years record will much effect the recruiting class. We have too many pessimists ready to write off DD.
