Time for an N&O rant. According to the sports editor, the Cheaters 8th inning, wherein they scored 2 runs, thus avoiding a shut out, was worthy of the section’s headline and above the fold story, including a big a$$ color pic. The Pack’s defeat of number 2 Louisville was noted on page two in the “College Notebook” section that included some tidbits about ECU’s golf team, St Aug’s track and field accomplishments and something about Shaw’s traning staff interning with the Panthers this summer. The Cheaters get in the ACCT as losers only because Wake lost. Big news! The Pack hand L’ville their FIFTH ACC defeat. Crickets.

Papa G’s mini hook is killer. He even has a sweet little fade away. Good passer! Nice touch. Smooth, athletic, CALM. Dude would be an upgrade from KW….who suffered badly from arc fright and neurolapses (brain farts). The High School vid doesn’t show much unless you can judge a guy playing alone in his driveway. The Euro vid seems to have a higher level of competition. Man, I want this guy on our campus. We’d have one of the best big crews in the world.

Who among us, not counting trolls, given the loss of buckets, would not have happily signed a preseason contract placing us in the sweet 16? Be honest. We greatly overachieved. And come on, our most critical piece was gagging up fur balls before this game. Bad luck for us…but that doesn’t diminish what a fantastic season this team put together from beginning to end despite the pundit’s dire predictions.
Oh, and we seem to be an attractive landing spot for transfers.

I like our position….now the number one seed, having replaced Nova. Yet, we receive no respect. We won’t get any after beating L’ville either. And we won’t get any by making it to the final four. We’ll be a fluke. We’ll be like the 83 team when we made it to New Mexico. Not a chance in the world. And that’s just fine with me. Carpe Diem boys!
Had it not been just an off the cuff but in context jab/joke, Cat is in the VAST majority of thinking people who also wonder WTF’s wrong with Obama. The feelers can go F themselves and cry about it afterwards.
Two things…
This team reminds me of our guys in 1983. They love each other. The whole team, they love each other. You can tell….RT and (I apologize) a scout team bench warmer walking to the locker room after we just dispatched ‘Nova, arms draped over one another the whole walk. The hugs and embraces, the emotion for one another…just awesome! But new to us of late. Now….we are PACK!
Secondly, whoever we play, pity the fool that must devise the game plan. We have so many weapons…and are, to my delight, so freakin unpredictable. Offense can come from anywhere…as can defense. We are a PERFECT STORM to upset ANYBODY!

Haven’t read every word above (shame on me) so please forgive me if I’m repeating another’s post….but perhaps Cat’s status is known but competitive strategy dictates mystery. Just a thought.
Personally, my new guy to hate in dark blew…Allen with Assjefferson a close second. I hate all people who wear light blew.
