That’s it, huh? No criticism for leaving 30 seconds on the clock in that situation? No criticism for Brissett’s terrible decision/play on 3rd down? OK.

    No. None warranted.

That play put u*nc in first place of the coastal. Of course the acc office is going to give it preference.

Ovies is a professional troll, literally. That’s his role on the show, whether by design or evolution. He’s the sole reason I stopped listening.

I was pleading for either an onside kick or pooch kick to the gap on both kicks before they were executed. For the reasons beej gave.

BUT, I thought it was a “FIELD CALL” on whether the infraction occurred. SO, if one official flagged it, but after a conference of the officials, the Referee determines that what he saw compared to what OTHERS saw was in error, then the Flag is picked up.

Except the officials didn’t confer, and they announced the flag was picked up because the REVIEW determined in was a block from the side.

Just another day in Swofford’s ACC. The Duke v Miami officiating crew should be suspended, but Swofty will give them a good ol boy pat on the back and a nice bonus.

But is a block in the back reviewable? Ummmm, I don’t think so. Im pretty sure those ACC officials just did something they don’t have the authority to do.

    No Duke doesn’t!

    Stanford band play redux!

Yes they do, block in the back?

    No!

    No Duke doesn’t!

    Miami wins. Wow.

@AlFiredGolden….If you boys had played with balls half the size that you brought to Duke, I would still be on the sideline.

They may have brought those balls only BECAUSE he was fired.

I stayed in my seat, and yes, it was poor attendance to start the 2nd half.

That said, it was homecoming and they asked people to remain in their seats at halftime time till after presentations. They can’t have it both ways.

The fans also are not responsible for the piss poor logistical design of CF and the log jams it creates, nor the ushers who stand at the top of the steps and do NOTHING to stop people from cutting in line, or those who stop to talk to every Tom, Dick, and Harry that might happen by, or anything else that blocks the progression of the line.

So if they want to complain, f’ them.

Wow. Clemson. Better than I thought. Talented, big and fast, but also very well coached and disciplined, especially the DEs.

Knew about Watson, but better in person. Same with their TB. I did not realize how good, big, and athletic their OL is. Impressed. Very. Ill be surprised if they don’t get to 13-0.

NC State played better than I expected against a team that is better than I thought. Progress made. They kept fighting till the end. But still much work to do. Clean it up, get better.

Welcome back Mr Grinnage. Looks like he’s finally getting healthy. But really, Dayes? Hopefully it’s not serious. I think I saw the play when he got hurt, if so, it’s an ankle or foot.

FG’s. Ick. I can appreciate standing by your talented freshman, but it’s about production. Is there really no other option, even if just to shake it up a bit?

Jacoby… nice game, unbelievable effort, but dude, you gotta stop pre determining reads or missing them all together. You had Hines uncovered in the slot early in the game, you never looked at him, not even pre snap. Instead of punting, it would’ve been 6.

Was impressed with the OL against Clemson’s front. I think this was the first game all season in which all 5 starters were healthy. Hopefully this game starts a trend.

At BC next week. Let’s see if we can remember and apply learned lessons. I see the big picture progression of the program, but a loss next week btings steps backwards, again. Clean it up coaches. Clean it up, Pack. Keep pushing forward.

While I can appreciate the videos, this thread still seems to be missing a certain something.

Based only on what we’ve seen season to date, the Wolfpack will be luck to keep it within 20. But this is sport, and more so, this is college football in which emotion rules King. Clemson can come in flat and the ‘Pack can have a spike in the learning curve.

Everyone knows about Watson, but their TB has been sharp of late. If we can contain Watson’s running, keep him under 50, maybe there’s a chance? But with the TB, it’s difficult to focus on the QB. Maybe we have have Wright spy Watson on 3rd an long and hope the Wides have a case of the dropsies? No idea… grasping at straws. Just hit Watson, hit him again, and again. Then again, and then one more time. At every opportunity, again.

When the Wolfpack has the ball, that’s where the Pack will need the performance jump. Jacoby has got to be at his best… best from last year, not this year. The OL will have their hands full with Clemson’s deep and active front 4. It sure would be helpful if the O can take a page from Super Bowl XXV and Dayes do his best Otis Anderson impression.

It is Halloween, so who knows… they’re the orange kitties, after all, and not black cats. Work the voodoo, Wolfpack.

Like it or not, the offense needs a passing game to be effective. We are not good enough to win by simply lining up and saying “he we come”.

Balance is needed, if not in production or attempt, then in threat. Look no further than the VT game to see what happens when the passing game is not respected.

Big plays, and scoring with them, was a specific and highlighted part of the game plan against Wake’s D.

the only team that stopped us for three straight quarters was our team wearing red up in the booth.

Disagree. No one is going to agree 100% with every play call, but as I wrote in the game thread, plays were there to be made all day. It was lack of execution.

Yep. Don’t get me wrong though, Canada has me scratching my head at times too. But I give him the benefit of the doubt in the short term, and usually, once the sequencing plays out, the logic is there.

Whether I agree or not with the specifics, that’s all I ask.

It sure beats Bible’s signature telegraphed shotgun RB dive for 2.1 yards, play after play after play.

Perhaps I missed something on replay. With the state of the kicking game, I don’t get the point of three passes, leaving yourself 4th and 11. You’re on the 14, just keep running.

Sound logic, but hard to argue with an alternative that puts a wide open, uncovered WR in the end zone from only 14 out. I’ll take that every time.

A win is a win is a win, especially in Winston.

But Freud says there’s still much work to be done.

    Much. Work.

This team’s limit seems to be set by its collective noggin.
