ParticipantJust to be clear, I don’t think Lacey’s primary responsibility will be as a PG. He’ll just slide over to point to spell Cat for a few minutes every now and then.
pakfanistan
ParticipantThought he was an SG. Either way I’m very optimistic about our depth everywhere else. Can’t wait to see this year’s version.
He is, sort of. He played point at Alabama, and is expected to back up Cat this year. His sophomore numbers at Alabama were better than Lewis’s in almost every way except A/T ratio. But that probably balances out because he gets more blocks, steals, rebounds, and shoots a higher percentage from 3.
Just for reference….

ParticipantWould be nice to have a Lewis caliber back up PG this year.
Trevor Lacey. Bam! Wish granted.

ParticipantBump for more UNC stupidity.
This makes the supervisor of morale look like a rocket surgeon.

ParticipantPakanistan, Woodford Reserve myself but love your choices.
I’m on a budget 😛
Speaking of which, if anyone needs a developer/tester/automation, I know where you can find one cheep.

ParticipantI’ve got Wild Turkey and Elijah Craig, so this game bothers me not at all.

ParticipantI’m referring to our propensity to acquire injuries in areas we can least afford to.
Pretty sure that was related to crappy S & C.

ParticipantGregg Doyel (cbssports.com) is another graduate from the Howard Stern school of journalism. Doyell learned to troll State fans while he was in NC (Charlotte Observer?). I avoid/ignore both of these idiots.
Are we mad at Gregg Doyel again? I thought we were cool with him since the whole UNC scandal broke.
I can never keep it straight.

ParticipantIt’s time to send NC State Sh!t the way of HWSNBN

ParticipantThere were also some bball recruits at the game, including Brandon Ingram.

ParticipantI’m almost afraid to say anything negative about him for fears he may be mentally retarded.
OK, I gotta admit, I thought the exact same thing.

ParticipantShe’s auditioning for a reboot of Total Recall.

ParticipantNCAA should be knocking on our door soon. Hopefully they won’t discover that a disproportionate number mopeds where given to student athletes verses the entire student population dating back to Norm Sloan days.
Have you seen the car Lacey drives? If there’s an issue, I don’t think it will be mopeds.

ParticipantAbuse booze and the consequences and effects are far harsher for that person AND society.
For one, it’s not really that hard to kill yourself drinking.
There’s not a single recorded death from marijuana overdose in history.

ParticipantMLB, NBA, and the NFL all suspend players for testing positive for substances that are legal in all 57 states.
Half the products in GNC will get a positive on the NFL’s banned substance list.
The lists are agreed upon by the respective leagues and player unions. Alcohol is not on that list.
I get that it’s on the list, I don’t think pot should be on the list. It’s not performance enhancing, doesn’t have as many negative consequences as alcohol, which isn’t on the list, and it’s legal where Hickson most likely used it.
It’s also hard to perform at a level that keeps you employed.
So, basically what Wulfpacker said, but I’d like to add:
pakfanistan
ParticipantThank you Beej.<br>
It is not an NFL issue.Anyone that has been through it on the corners of the neighborhood agree, too.

ParticipantWhat if….
…the pressure to maintain a two parent household causes women to stay with abusive men, and exposes children to domestic violence, and predisposes them to anti-social behavior, like domestic abuse, in the future?
pakfanistan
ParticipantYou should both be ashamed of those statements.
Why on earth should I be ashamed for speculating on cause and effect?
pakfanistan
ParticipantOur stance toward drug use is insane.
If it was pot, he’s being suspended for partaking in a legal substance (in Colorado).
They wouldn’t suspend a player for drinking, unless he showed up drunk to practice or a game. Why treat any other legal substance differently.
Heck, if I ran the NFL, I’d encourage pot use. It’s hard to beat your wife and kids when you’re staring into the refrigerator for the 47th time, or zoned out scrolling through Netflix looking for Half Baked.

ParticipantGood God.
I feel so bad for Glennon.

ParticipantLovie Smith doing his best TOB impression tonight:
Let’s be stubborn for stubborn’s sake because I know best regardless of what actually happens on the field, over and over and over again.
I thought it was Amato who punted to Hester. Am I misremembering that?
pakfanistan
ParticipantIn fact, I don’t disagree that absentee fathers is a problem, fella. Having said that, I’m not prepared to say it’s the only, or even the major, cause for the current climate of domestic violence in society.
Would that it were that simple though.
Call me crazy, common sense would say growing up with only a mother would make a man more sensitive toward women.
pakfanistan
ParticipantThat was in response to you, but I was kidding.
You can give SR44 all the rope in the world but this is about the best you can hope for.
pakfanistan
ParticipantWhy do you hate me
pakfanistan
ParticipantSo you reject common sense descriptions of failure in order to not make someone feel bad who might be standing by and inadvertently have heard said description.
No, that’s what YOU think I think. You should try reading my post again.
Great, you are a PC liberal _____.
MMMMMmmmmm, name calling. The first resort of the small minded.
