Unbelievably offensive nicknames for what is supposed to be our team. In particular, BSW is so incredibly racist, it is hard to believe any African American actually comes to NCSU. Nice job of making State fans look like a bunch of idiot rednecks. Totally shameful.

^^You don’t like the nicknames and that’s cool/fair. However, your post also groups Rednecks as racist. I know I should have left this one alone but grouping a redneck etc as racist is the same thing as what you were originally complaining about. Unfortunately People are racist without labels. Just keep it simple….

I never thought twice about calling Tyler Lewis White Chocolate since that’s what his common nickname was.

Anyway, I think next year does look good. I hate Tyler is gone but CAT should have time to grow. Most of all I think the guys have bonded well as a team.

How many kids have transferred under Gott’s time here/Sid’s departure? This is NOT to bash him just rather curious of the total number.

It seems like it has been several.

Man that sucks WBS is leaving. Weird considering he had the starting role. Maybe Gott decided to put all his eggs in the CAT basket for next year and WBS left based on playing time. Maybe there was some issues there. Heck who knows….just sucks WBS is leaving. I really like WBS and wish him well. Sad though because he really wanted to be here early on. Just weird.

Maybe Gott’s leaving for Marquette. Just kidding.

Both good points. However, Archie & Sean’s style of play is NOT even remotely similar in any way to HWSNBN. Both Miller “boys” have an up tempo offense. I don’t have mixed feelings for HWSNBN simply because he was a square peg in a round hole in Raleigh. Like him or hate him he never connected to the school, fans or area. Enough of that…I respect his work here but was glad he is chopping imaginary wood in the desert.

Most interesting stat spoken by Mr. Wulfpack, the short version “Archie has made it as far in 3 years as Gott has in 17”
Add in the fact Archie is only 34 yrs old and you have a coach with a pocket full of rabbits feet or a pretty good idea of how to coach. Same can be said for Sean plus a few years.

This is in no way bashing Gott. Just simply saying the Miller “boys” have a darn good hold on how to run a BB team. If it’s lighting in a bottle then they figured out a way to bottle it in their basement and carry it with them.

I’m just happy to see his success. I loved watching Archie play. The Miller family has figured something out for sure. Archie’s stock is Sky high for good reason. Those Dayton boys are impressive. Lots of intensity and movement. Well coached for sure. Go get’em Miller boys.

Side note…Archie Miller’s squad is giving the “business” to Standford. Wonder why every big man on Dayton can shoot the three? I’m afraid somebody is going to get a REALLY good coach with Miller. Just wish there was a way he could end up in Raleigh though.

    Go Archie!

I’m just glad Syracuse lost, especially to Archie! I absolutely cannot stand Syracuse, Kentucky and UNC. Too be frank I hate Syracuse and Kentucky the most almost totally due to there arrogant, full of $hit, A-hole coaches. UNC is for obvious reasons but I do admit (although shamefully) I do pull for the Holes over Syracuse.

Yes the ACC is not looking to well in the Tournament at the moment.

One more time, Way to go Archie!!!!!

Va Tech did well with Buzz. That’s a better hire than I expected them to pick up. He got a 7 year deal as well.

Shaka will listen because the contract would be long and he apparently likes a stable opportunity. Money won’t be the deciding factor for him since he is still in demand.

Archie….I hope not because I’m still hoping for the pipe dream that one of the Miller brothers end up in Raleigh. Plus I only see Wake hiring a “splash” coach since the drama with Blitz has been non stop as a bad hire.

Interesting for sure. The ACC is appealing right now with all the expansion and big name coaches. I say Shaka is a 50/50 shot due to timing.

16 point lead blown. The last 3 minutes we were taken apart with precision and a well coached plan by St. Louis. Complete inability to break a press on our part. No last second designed plays again just 1 on many.

I’m not dogging our players and I am proud of their improvement. I’m frustrated but oh well. My frustration is high mostly because we have seen this same ending on a fairly regular basis.

This game was lost by GOTT at approximately the 3:00 minute left mark of the 2nd half. When the strategy is CLEARLY that they will foul us immediately for the last 3 minutes why in F€€€ do you leave your worst FT shooters in!!! Why would you do that! If we put one of our practice team guys in or the waterboy etc that can hit a FT we win that game. We would simply trade baskets at that point with a few 3’s mixed in.

I have NEVER in my life seen a team more lost on the press! No two guard line until almost the 1 minute mark. WTF?

Still, The worst mistake of all time was with 3:00 left in regulation in a foul festival you have those shooters in????

On a side note why didn’t Anya play? He was clearly doing solid.

Sick just sick. But then again how often have we crumbled away big leads at the end?

Seth Davis = HUGE Tool bag

Dang that Kristine chick is hot. If she puts on a cheerleading outfit Bobby Lutz will have to pick up the coaching because Gott had google eyes at 1/2 time.

Just keep TJ on the bench. We don’t need foul #3 on him. He has been doing his typical reach in’s most of the game. It’s only a matter of time.

Christen (however he spells it) is absolute 2 year old girl! Stop whining you little B…

Do we really have that good of a chance? I agree we can play with anybody in the country! I also agree we can loose to any local High School team by 30 at times. This is what makes it difficult for us.

Either way I’m optimistic and positive. We are playing good basketball at the moment.

A few things that I’m feeling good about from the recent play of our team:

    1. I see a team that seems to like each other with no drama.

    2. It does seem like we have improved (although slightly) on the defensive end of the court.

    3. CAT is gaining some confidence and staying in control better.

    4. Lewis seems to be a tad more willing to take shots.

    5. Our front court bigs are actually pretty good when they are motivated.

Are there huge holes of mistakes and bad decisions still being made? Yes, but they are improving on those slowly.

I must say the GOTT really impressed me with his fire and enthusiasm in the Tournament. I do think his sub patterns are weird and defense is still weak overall. However, he really wanted to win and it showed. He looked as excited as he did his 1st year here. All I am saying is it was nice to see emotion from him again (I think he has been pretty calm the past two years). As Wolfpack fans this is what we want to see from a coach (besides winning of course). Just a few moments of passion from a coach goes a looooooong way in Raleigh.

I like Lee but dang he never kicks the ball out when he starts to drive. 1 on 4 is pretty common with Lee.
