November 23/24 Open Football Thread

There’s one good game (TAMU at LSU, CBS) and one snow game (Stormin’ Mormons at Gold-headed Catholics, NBC) on right now. Enjoy!

Don’t forget two key games later tonight – Mizzou at Ole Miss (7:45, ESPN) and Baylor at Okie State (8:00, ABC).

Beloved Pey Pey and crew invade the Massholes in the Sunday night game tomorrow.

Before that, the Panthers plan to Ice Up the Fins.

Hockey just messes up what could have been a perfectly good, taxpayer-funded basketball arena.

I guess the ice Ducks just trying to make up for the land Ducks’ epic bedshitting today.

“Given recent recruiting results, Iā€™m not at all certain I understand your conclusion here.”

Ditto, but come on Wuf’. We need to stop being wet blankets.

  3. BJD95 11/23/2013 at 10:05 PM #

Hey now, hockey talk is bad enough. But the NBA ain’t even a sport no mo’

Mizzou back up 14, and UT holding off Vandy.

  4. Wufpacker 11/23/2013 at 10:07 PM #

    LMAO BJD. Don’t blame hockey.

  5. BJD95 11/23/2013 at 10:08 PM #

If the FFS insist on all these weird-assed helmets, is it too much to ask that they use one featuring a pentagram dripping with the blood of the unbelievers?

  6. Wufpacker 11/23/2013 at 10:08 PM #

How can you not love this kind of pageantry???

  7. TheAliasTroll 11/23/2013 at 10:09 PM #

foose, congrats because you are the only person on the entire planet that saw the game against Central as a “toss up”

  8. Wufpacker 11/23/2013 at 10:12 PM #

    No he wasn’t.

  9. BJD95 11/23/2013 at 10:15 PM #

True, there is some beauty in a Canadian guy and a Russian dude beating the shit out of one another. And I will watch the playoffs, since they are more fun, and take place during a time where the only other option is baseball.

  10. BJD95 11/23/2013 at 10:17 PM #

First and 30 is not where I expected Noel Mazzone to shine…but that shoulda been 6 for the win there.

“And I will watch the playoffs, since they are more fun, and take place during a time where the only other option is baseball.”

Now you’re just trying to piss me off. šŸ˜€

    FFS survives.

Oh my bad, wufpacker and foose both saw the game against Central as a toss up. Hindsight is nice thing to have. Did you happen to comment about how close the game was going to be before the game started? Is there a link? Did you predict Duke to the ACC championship game as well? You should really start betting money on this stuff, you’d make an absolute fortune.

I got an idea, you guys start posting your picks against the spread and we can track them. Anyone who knew our home game against Central was a toss up should make a killing.

  13. Wufpacker 11/23/2013 at 10:20 PM #

No troll, I knew better than to say it publicly.

But feel free to ask BJD if you don’t believe me.

  14. BJD95 11/23/2013 at 10:20 PM #

But that was totally a Noel Mazzone 4th and 35 call for ya. Check it down!!!

  15. BJD95 11/23/2013 at 10:24 PM #

Yup, he really did so e-mail me. And I laughed it off and said he should post it just to see people flip the f-ck out.

Shows how much I know. Being so close to Sendek has made him wise by osmosis. But hopefully not bald.

Oh, and I watch plenty of baseball too. But that’s because the alternative is doing something productive or talking to my children. šŸ˜€

  16. Wufpacker 11/23/2013 at 10:26 PM #

Nope, fortunately I am still fully haired, despite my proximity to the chrome topped wonder.

But I do love me some weave and heave šŸ™‚

  17. BJD95 11/23/2013 at 10:32 PM #

And although foose didn’t e-mail me, I has never found him to be full o’ shit. So I trust that we had two wise sages.

UT done f-cked up. Vandy gon’ win.

To the tune of “The Itchy & Scratchy Show”:

They weave! And heave! And weave and weave and heave. Weave, weave, weave! Heave, heave, heave! The Herbie the Sendek shoooowwwwww!!!

  18. Wufpacker 11/23/2013 at 10:37 PM #

Udub looks intent early on pounding some Beaver.

  19. Wufpacker 11/23/2013 at 10:38 PM #

LMAO BJD. That made me chortle.

  20. BJD95 11/23/2013 at 10:39 PM #

Anybody who is still awake…Johnny Reb back within a score in Oxford.

  21. BJD95 11/23/2013 at 10:44 PM #

Woops, replay took it away, then they turned it over on downs. I guess the South will have to rise some other time.

  22. Wufpacker 11/23/2013 at 10:47 PM #

    WTNY

  23. Wufpacker 11/23/2013 at 10:48 PM #

Hahaha…they go out to the parking lot and blast Christmas music.

No weed involved there, I’m certain.

  24. TheAliasTroll 11/23/2013 at 10:50 PM #

If we played Central 1000 times at home we win by double digits at least 700 times, so more times than not they’d be wrong.

  25. Wufpacker 11/23/2013 at 10:51 PM #

That was a helluva catch by Udub #8.

    Beaver getting pounded.
