November 23/24 Open Football Thread

There’s one good game (TAMU at LSU, CBS) and one snow game (Stormin’ Mormons at Gold-headed Catholics, NBC) on right now. Enjoy!

Don’t forget two key games later tonight – Mizzou at Ole Miss (7:45, ESPN) and Baylor at Okie State (8:00, ABC).

Beloved Pey Pey and crew invade the Massholes in the Sunday night game tomorrow.

Before that, the Panthers plan to Ice Up the Fins.

    Fun/proud fact – in his last 6 games, Glennon has a 10/1 TD/INT ratio.

Looking like you might get your FG to tie scenario at least for Panthers/’Phins.

And yay for the ‘Phins cheerleaders. At least it’s not cold there and parkas are not required.

    Mike G saves Schiano’s job?

  4. Wufpacker 11/24/2013 at 4:15 PM #

Nevermind….those no tackling ‘Phins just screwed ya.

  5. Wulfpack 11/24/2013 at 4:17 PM #

    Panthers! Surgical drive.

  6. Wufpacker 11/24/2013 at 4:18 PM #

And your beloved Chefs just avoided OT as well. PRiv has 1:22 to do something about it though.

No quit in Cam and the Panthers today…

    Mike G. continues to impress….’

  8. Wulfpack 11/24/2013 at 4:19 PM #

This aint your same Panthers. Everything going right for them. A win away from the playoffs after starting 1-3. Amazing.

  9. Wulfpack 11/24/2013 at 4:21 PM #

Two game winning drives for Cam in back to back weeks. As good as it gets.

  10. BJD95 11/24/2013 at 4:22 PM #

    Woooohooooooo!!!!!!

  11. bill.onthebeach 11/24/2013 at 4:24 PM #

Wufpack said.. “This aint your same Panthers..”

    and that says it all.

Panthers delay angel dust binge for 7th week in a row. I guess I should be thankful.

  13. Wufpacker 11/24/2013 at 4:27 PM #

I am imagining BJD dancing around his house yelling “Eff You KC!!!”

  14. bill.onthebeach 11/24/2013 at 4:27 PM #

PR hits the home run against KC….

Pack QB s getting it done today.

  15. Wulfpack 11/24/2013 at 4:41 PM #

So who gets the 6 seed in the AFC? Bunch of bad teams in the running. Your locks are Denver, New England, Cincy, Indy and KC. 6 seed competition currently comes down to about 8 teams in the running by my count.

  16. Wulfpack 11/24/2013 at 4:43 PM #

Locks in the NFC are Seattle, New Orleans and Carolina.

  17. BJD95 11/24/2013 at 4:45 PM #

F-ck da Chiefs! And now Denver has the tiebreak even if they lose next week (division record).

We gon’ have a new school (FG/FG iT) tie in Green Bay??

  18. Wulfpack 11/24/2013 at 4:48 PM #

Just looking at it closer and my pick for the 6 seed is Baltimore or Pittsburgh.

  19. tjfoose1 11/24/2013 at 4:48 PM #

Audie Cole playing very well in his first NFL start with the Vikings.

  20. tjfoose1 11/24/2013 at 4:50 PM #

In Vegas over the summer, I got the Seahawks at 12:1 to win the Super Bowl. Long way to go, but I’m loving those odds.

  21. tjfoose1 11/24/2013 at 4:52 PM #

Glennon has been a stud the last few games. Happily surprised.

  22. Wulfpack 11/24/2013 at 4:56 PM #

Glennon has been great. That ends next Sunday in Charlotte. Panthers will crush him.

The woman on the TWC commercial seems remarkably unfazed to find Coach Cowher lurking in her kitchen drinking coffee at 0430. With all due respect to Coach Cowher, that would scare the bejeebus out of me.

  25. wufpup76 11/24/2013 at 6:25 PM #

^Those Coach Cowher commercials with him showing up from nowhere are a little awkward lol.

Glad I was wrong about the Panthers/Dolphins game! Huge win without Johnson. Left just enough time to see P. Rivers throw that beautiful strike to win against KC. It’s something that they’re right there for the six seed in the AFC at 5-6.

From Wulfpack’s post, I wouldn’t put Cincy in the ‘lock’ category yet, but it’s hard to see anyone else winning that division with five games left.

As for college bball, unfortunately the Holes get a huge win against future ACC foe Louisville. GT came awful close to being yet another ACC team to lose to a MEAC squad, but escaped against NC A&T.

Florida State really should’ve beaten Michigan the other day, and are in a fight against Northeastern right now. VCU – severely overrated at this point – goes 1-2 in the Puerto Rico holiday tourney. Clemson is in a title game tonight (Charleston Classic) and can get to 6-0 with a win over Mass.

Plus Denver – NE … should be fun.
