We need Rowan to grow up fast and this schedule we play before we hit ACC play is perfect for it. I’m optimistic with this schedule that as a whole we’ll get better quicker than the other ACC teams and we absolutely have to this season.

I think this has potential to be a huge game for us come tourney selection time if we can manage to get .500 or better in the ACC
Here’s a prediction from me for next year (which I’m certain is something foose will agree with me):
We will be undefeated national champions. I know it’s uneccesarry to clarify but I base that on the quite obvious assumption that our team avoids any iota of adversity. That adversity includes any other team scoring more points than us in any given game.
No I think I’ve got it loud and clear you expected for NC State to not have any injuries while at the same time to be a top 10 team

Different people progress through the grief process at different speeds. I’ve been at acceptance for a while now while it’s quite clear others are stuck in the denial phase.
Forgive me, foose, I didn’t realize we were the only team fielding a squad with injuries this year.

well like i said, I think many would disagree with me, esp pack fans, re: unc top 10… Next week we’ll know a little more for sure but my eyes tell me to fully expect them to hang w/ Clemson if not outright win.
I’m showing Clemson -6 (no hook). I do think that’s a pretty fair line and likely wouldn’t touch it. It sucks balls to admit and I know many would disagree but I think UNC is a legit top #10 team this year.

Would take some pain away if the Hat and his side kick, Gene (aka the real unc head coach), both jump ships… if only Hat goes I could see Gene getting his rightful title as HC.
For better or worse we’re in no trouble in having Dave poached away.

I’m of the opinion that our team shouldn’t be so fragile as to let a rightly called late hit, regardless of which ref called it, cause them to give up 35 points in 15 minutes of football.
maybe we should try cheating too.. you know.. shake things up a bit
10th in this conference in recruiting? Most of the players we have don’t seem like they are being developed. I’ve seen and heard enough. Sucks we’ll have to wade through mediocrity for another 2 or 3 years before a change is made at the top.
Oh and I was down in the endzone for the 1st unc “touchdown” and had a great look at it. Not a catch. Whatever though.
Looks to be a long season indeed. Gott deserves a mulligan from the fans in my opinion for this season though after the last 4 years.
I can assure you these rules will not apply to Duke. We all already know that though. They WILL apply to us however.

I’d be shocked if he were there for too long flying under the radar as a DC, especially with additional NCAA sanctions pending. He’ll be a very HOT commodity in the off season I would think after turning that swiss cheese defense into what they are now.
I dunno man. Seems our basketball program has healed pretty nicely over the years with a bunch of consecutive trips to the tourney with two of those being sweet 16 trips. Got the #4 player in the nation suiting up next season as well. We might be in some rocky waters this season, especially with the rest of the ACC looking to have an up year, but heck down years happens to lots of good teams. Ask Roy Williams. Right now I’m pleased with the state of the BBall program for the most part.
and UNC moves up to #12 in the rankings. I can only hope Chizik moves along to bigger and better things after this season.
This weekend was the suck
but is way too green for a major p-5 conference and by the time he learns he may be too late
this sums up my feelings pretty well, but I’m with you in that it’s hard to really get a good grasp at the moment. He really ticked me off that first year he called out our fans for not being there in the 3rd quarter against some piss ant team.
I personally never thought of JB as a Sunday caliber QB. I think some of the nuances of the game escape him a lot of the time. Not to mention his recurring accuracy issues. Guess time will tell.
