How’s it going boys? Blacked out an SOL without cable. Baylor/Texas football game is pretty entertaining though so far.. two teams ran out on the field to fight already, plenty of personal fouls, and lots of chipiness. Can’t ask for much more!
Yeah that’s a pretty steep line move and still 24 hours until kickoff so it may move even further. Just thinking about that game makes me nauseous.
Seems like a really bad move firing Ruffin, and especially this season. Just who the hell do they think they are? lol.. but seriously I think it’ll be tough for them to get someone better the Ruff into the Fick. Guess we’ll find out soon enough.
As far as Gott goes, disappointed with the big man development and recruiting so far.
Can you be more specific on this statement regarding your disappointment with Gott’s recruitment? I mean we’ve got the highest rated PG in NC State’s history coming next year. I think his recruiting efforts for the most part have been pretty solid to date.
I would rather be strung up by my toenails than go through a football or basketball coaching search at present. It would likely be the death of me.
I personally don’t see DD being a long term answer for our football program but 100% agree this would not be the year test the market with all the other open jobs out there not to mention his current contract structure. Dave needs to get us 8 wins against a much tougher schedule for me to become a fan boy, or at the very least 7 wins with at least one of those losses being a very close game against a marquee opponent. Unfortunately it would appear the stars aren’t aligning for that to happen with a breaking in a new QB and the lackluster recruiting which may still be impacted more by the baby blues making so much noise down the road. Hopefully the NCAA steps in and curtails some of their momentum.
Gott on the other hand has earned his extension IMO.

I seriously question Gottfried and his ability to develop players. I’ve seen only 2 improve under him and you have to question just how much was MG and how much was them

i’m telling you guys i really think this is a mulligan year.. IF Cat stays for next year (probably not realistic), we get our frosh #1 pg, Rowan gets experience, and we have the transfer next year could absolutely be nice. We just gotta wade through this one.

athleticism is there, but the bball skills and acumen don’t seem to be. With a #1 PG coming in next year I’m fine accepting a down year and giving a mulligan. I don’t think this will be a tourney team but that’s okay as long as we take a step forward next year.

I dunno man, 3 All American guards on a single team and I think the 2 trees would see some openings and perform better than whatever the hell we’re trying now

We need a new name for Anya. King Hippo just doesn’t fit anymore. I haven’t been able to come up with it. Nothing derogatory, just more appropriate. He is still getting the blocks though.
