Woooo TD suckers! Never a doubt!
They’re clearly a lot stronger and faster than we are. It appears our current staff doesn’t have the acumen to develop any kind of game plan to neutralize this fact. Our best hope for winning seasons going forward is more “Turd U” scheduling.

Indeed.. I had no lean one way or the other, but just wanted some action on this one. If the first play from scrimmage was any indication of how they’re going to own our line maybe run some quick slants and draw plays for a little while.

I think a lot of people may not be aware (as I was not just a week ago) that Rowan graduated high school a year early and was basically thrown right into the fire. He should be a high school senior this year and he’s logging serious minutes on an ACC team.
The team seems to be slowly continuing to coagulate.

I love the Bowl match up we got. Hopefully we can keep it respectable. Not sure what we’re supposed to infer about Dave’s comments on the soft schedule? Is he saying he’s fine intentionally scheduling cup cakes to pad our record or is he just commenting that he’s aware the fans prefer not playing “Turd U” for half the year?
The Bills are a quarterback away from being a super bowl contender. Put Phil in under center up there and it’d be like a throwback to the early 90’s. Rex has NEVER had a decent QB and ain’t nobody winning in this league without a decent QB.
I was never sold on Dave being a step up from TOB anyway. There’s no evidence of him being a program builder, just a coach who was able to sustain an already built program with an upper classman near NFL caliber QB (Lynch landed in the CFL I think) in the Mid-American conference for two seasons. That’s it. That is the extent of his track record as a HC.
When Dave criticized our fans in the first home game he coached here when we were playing Fordham (or whatever crap team we playing against) for not having the entire stadium packed for the start of the 3rd quarter really rubbed me the wrong way. Play some quality opponents and get us ranked in the top ten (or hell top 25) and see if we don’t rip the goal posts out of the ground and carry them to the local Waffle House after a win. Until then STFU and focus on YOUR job.
That, and a place where a select few choose to express an attitude and arrogance not so dissimilar from a power mad HOA or a coward with a badge and a gun, only from the safety and security that exists behind a keyboard.
Apologies that I’m going to add more fuel to this travesty of a game thread. Foose, you posted this but it describes your entire SFN persona to a tee.
As for the SFN evolution over time.. the peak of this site in my opinion is when we were ALL united against Lee Fowler while he was still here. Then we got a new AD and made some headway and it kind of slowed down after that. But shortly thereafter we had a run of a couple of years where we could all rejoice and be united in the downfall of the Carolina Way.
Now all that is kind of died down and we find our football program no better off and the basketball team in what looks to be an awful down year with the Cheats soaring above us in both cases. No surprise there’s going to be more folks on the ledge at this moment in time.
