ESPN3 sound is so bad that I have garbled stupidity for audio. Huxtable made some adjustments after that first series.
I just find the hiring of Bobby Petrino by Louisville to be one of the scummiest hires in D1 football in a long, long, time. It’s a shame to have expanded the conference by including a school with standards this low. It wasn’t just an affair at Pig U. Bobby Boy HIRED HIS GIRLFRIEND OVER MUCH MORE QUALIFIED CANDIDATES and put the university at risk in doing so. That, in combination with his long history of **ckish behavior should make him off limits to any school that has a conscience at all.
For me, this game will take on the same intense desire I always had for us to humiliate Danny Ford. It’s not possible for us to win by enough on Saturday.
TOB’s retirement from recruiting was masked by Wilson and Glennon and I’m pretty sure our roster depth and quality will be a good bit better heading into next Fall than it was when DD arrived. This is why DY got rid of TOB. She could see the future by looking at recruiting and she saved us a year in the rebuilding process by pulling the trigger when she did.
I still question whether Huxtable can do the job.
Speaking as someone who has participated in bottle rocket wars…….indoors I might add, this isn’t too shocking. I guess the school has to do something before they graduate to real guns or they get somebody hurt. I would have been ok with some suicides (that’s gassers to some people).
The most troubling thing is the collapse of the offense. The progress I thought we had made looks like it’s been figured out by the opposition. JB has been under siege. Maybe it’s not having Thuney to some extent.
Is our defensive talent really THAT bad? Huxtable never has shown any signs that he has a clue. If there isn’t some improvement the rest of the way this year, I don’t see how he survives.
The main thing that still gives me some hope is that DD is a good bit better recruiter than TOB.
