UVa understands man-ball-basket defensive principles very well

Pleasantly surprised by the first half, but I know the second half will suck.

I will operate on the principle that an optimist is never pleasantly surprised and be a pessimist for tonight.

Doesn’t he know that in order to keep this stuff out of the press you need to be in a rented car full of dope? Our staff just isn’t doing a good job of orienting new players into the NC State Way. Air pistol. No wonder we can’t recruit big time talent away from Roy.

Chris Fowler’s basic point was that it’s easier to mount a big comeback on NC State than it is on Oregon. All those who disagree with that premise, please message me about some hillside real estate I have for sale here in Houston.

You’d think Al Sharpton was consulting with NC State fans.

Wow. UNC-Dallas wins with the disappearing PI, AFTER the penalty was announced. #Ratingsplay

If you are a running back sitting in the clearance bin at WalMart you hope Gary Kubiak shops there.

Anyone else notice State never looks to push the ball on a defensive rebound? They get excited on blocked shots but a normal defensive rebound is so ho hum that we instantly go into slowdown mode and settle for halfcourt play?

No time to comment on this during the game.

Hardcore running teams send their guards to the hash marks for the outlet pass as soon as the shot goes up. We need our guards crashing the boards because we give up too many offensive rebounds. Frenchie is our most consistent rebounder at this point. Until the other bigs pick up the defensive rebounding, we won’t be able to afford to get the guards out. That is why we run better off of blocked shots.

Our best game of the season by far. If I were Jamie Dixon, I’d be concerned about getting to 13 wins.

On a nice side note The ACC Network has expanded to basketball here in H-Town. Won’t be at the mercy of ESPN3 for the Saturday games at least.

    BJ: Dunk or pass…please

With Anya’s arms and body, he needs to copy the Olajuwon turnaround with a bit of a fade. He needs to be a poor man’s Kevin McHale

On pace for ten points. The passing is terrible. The movement on offense is worse than terrible. The floor balance is non-existent. The effort is mediocre.

The really scary thing to consider is next year when we will be plus the transfer Henderson and minus Lee and Turner. How does it get any better?

The bigs MUST develop or this program may be in trouble.

I don’t think tOSU’s defense can hold up against Oregon. I think Oregon will win rather easily. They just have the killer instinct. They will make tOSU pay dearly for every mistake. tOSU only has a chance if they can pound the rock with Elliot and Marshall well enough to seriously limit the number of possessions the Ducks get. Ducks 45 Bucks 31

    By the Numbers
SEC West 2-5 in bowl games
SEC 10-11 vs other P5 schools for the season (Iowa vs Tennessee still to play)

It was obvious to anybody who was paying attention that Ole Miss and Miss State were grossly over rated all year. They built their reputations beating other over rated SEC teams. A&M got a boost from beating over rated USC which added to the over valuation of the SEC West. LSU was obviously down but when another SEC West school beat them it was hailed as evidence of their greatness. ESPN turned up the volume on the SEC hype as soon as they signed the big deal with them a few years back and it has carried their water ever since.

What tOSU did to Bama last night with a third string QB was epic. Most importantly, the national media realizes that they’ve been exposed for being a PR mouthpiece for the SEC and they’re scrambling to revise their views.

The cheats couldn’t have done any better than this. He sucks as a head coach but his DC track record is good.
