ParticipantClearly I don’t know how to structure my contracts. I need a clause in there that says “if my job performance sucks you will owe me double the agreed project fee annually for 5 years after terminating the contract.”

ParticipantWell, Cuse showed me.

ParticipantMakes you wonder if the no call on that block was a make up.
That crossed my mind. BTW, I knew that wasn’t Hess, but it felt like one of his wtf calls. There was another ref frequent to the ACC who used to make calls from another area code, his name escapes me. One of the showgirls…
MrPlywood
ParticipantAnd Cuse pulls it out. Crazy end to that one. The Zags normally keep their composure. Was that Karl Hess who called Cooney out of bounds from the worst angle and way up court? Also thought the last Cuse block was a foul, but what do I know?

ParticipantDang the Hoos look good.
Was about to post the same thing. For a team that supposedly slows it down, they tend to score a lot when needed.

ParticipantWe know that Debbie eventually worked to remove both Friedgen and GW while she was at UMD
Did she hire either one?

ParticipantI’ve been chuckling at the little incident that happened at the end of the Oregon beatdown of Dook, precipitated by Dillon Brooks’ 3 pointer with about 8 seconds to go in the game. The shot clock was running down, Brooks threw up a half-hearted 30 footer – which went in. In the lineup, K said something to Brooks, and you could see Brooks saying “my bad, my bad” and seemingly apologizing to K. Afterwards, Brooks said that K told him that he was too good to show off – which K denies. Clearly K said something to that effect, which is interesting since it’s a minor incident compared to tripping opponents.
Ah, the schadenfreude. It’s about all I have to hold on to these days.

ParticipantThanks for the update!

ParticipantFun times AGAIN on the SFN forums!
And people were complaining that it was boring lately 🙂
For anyone with a line to Yow (I know some email her) I’d be interested to hear her take, at least the public version.

Participant^Then a certain poster will have been right 😛

ParticipantEverybody is a star
Who the rain, chase the dust away
Everybody wants to shine
Ooh, come out on a cloudy day
‘Til the sun that loves you proud
When the system tries to bring you down
Every hand to shine tonight

ParticipantI guess I am the only one that still values a college degree.
The two pursuits aren’t mutually exclusive. The time is right for Cat to give the pros a try, no matter how that works out. That could play out to set him for a long time if he’s an NBA first rounder, or be a nice career playing overseas, to playing in the D-League for a while. But he’s got to go for it. He can always finish his degree later if that’s what he wants.
MrPlywood
ParticipantI think it’s safe to say that Cat will work as hard as necessary to make it at the next level. Good luck Cat! I’ve enjoyed watching.

ParticipantIt’s just not likely that a State alum will be available
As has probably been discussed before, I don’t know that having an alum as coach is necessarily a good thing. I can see the attraction in that you have a known quantity to a certain extent. But I think it also creates a different set of expectations and makes objective evaluation that much more difficult.

ParticipantK’s is Beyoncé
When he was recruiting G. Allen I’m sure K was in to Nickelback.

ParticipantAnd I wouldn’t be surprised if arch is snatched up by Pitt now that Dixon is headed to tcu
Where Archie can coach for 17 years then leave for State 😉

ParticipantCal seems to let everyone else do the legwork and then cherry picks his favorites.
I foolishly thought State had a shot at Georgios Papagiannis so I’ll just keep this new one at arms length. Although, I would think that there aren’t a lot of options for him out there at this late date.

ParticipantGwiz losing is a real bummer. He was up 5-3, gave up two with 20 seconds to go and then lost 28 seconds into sudden “victory” OT – which I don’t like in Championship matches. There’s too much on the line for a match to be decided that way.

ParticipantLooks like the Zags mean business.

ParticipantI have decided to adopt Thomas Walkup and SFA for the remainder.

ParticipantThoughts for the Day:
I don’t recall call anyone “celebrating” Gott. Some people are in his corner, some on the fence, some not. But celebrating, not so much.
The Miller boys took it on the chin, badly.
Hawaii and Middle Tenn. – make FTs win games. Both were clutch down the stretch. Impressive. A lot of brackets busted with Sparty going home.
‘Cuse in the Sweet 16? Madness!
